I always liked Yma Sumac, she was very well known in Poland and in Russia, she had the most widest range about 6 octaves. For me Dimash is male version of Yma Sumac :) She was from Peru (South America) and she had grace, because she was of Inca origin :) Thank you for finding her :) I wish you would do more of her songs, she had the most unique voice :) Greetings from Poland - Karolina

Yma Sumac had an incredible 4 octave range. Nobody has ever matched her tonal range! You heard her deeper register, but she is able to reach as high as to reach what is called a whistle register.
Yea Sumac voice (to me) are the many creatures of the Peruvian Amazon Rainforest, as is her eyes, stillness in flight and her gowns fill the stage with feathery lightness. Carmen Anaya dances Flamenco must see, mesmerising.

She had this gift, this possibility to be able to sing with a baryton (bass ?) voice until this very special "bird voice" that we call "voix de sifflet" in France (I'm french). She could imitate the noise of the jungle, an imaginary jungle. In about the same kind of "madness", you can listen to Ivan Rebroff (who pretended to be Russian) and the very young Dimash Kudaibergen in "SOS d'un terrien en détresse". Yma sumac, was a Peruvian *VIRAGO CONTRALTO* . Exotic music singer, with a *vocal range of more than 5 octaves* . She gave concerts all over the world, many times. She developed his vocal technique in the mountains of Peru, imitating birds and animals. She never took singing lessons, she was very proud of her technique, that's why her face was that of a *DIVA* , because she really is.
