The smallies here love the current, absolutely would be in that kind of skinny water. We were catching 17s"+ in 2 ft of fast water back in late February when the water was freakishly warm at 61 degrees. Great vidja, the shoal bass has been on the bucket list for a few years, thanks for the inspiration!
Gorgeous river and the Shoalies were on it. Glad you teamed up with John. Fruitful scouting missions are great but add a new favorite species and takes it up a level. Good luck brother and enjoy the ride. Blessings
Day one tournament video drops tonight at 7:30 PM EST 👊🏻
That put in is the exact spot I caught my first shoalie 15 years ago, glad to see my neck of the woods on here!
Putting the shoalie on my bucket list now!
THANKS FOR SHOWING WHERE I GREW UP............................ALEX..................
Great video! Sweet looking fishing spot! It'd be awesome getting to fish with ya someday Alex!
Great video beautiful place I can wait till I get a kayak to be able to do some of the river floats and fish
This looks amazing. As a reformed whitewater kayaker and current kayak bass fishing junkie, this is exactly the kind of thing I'm looking for.
It’s so much fun man!
That’s really gorgeous ❤ Love it
I wouldn’t want to come back home 😂
I need to get down there and fish those southern rivers, I regret not making the trip down for this tournament.
Beautiful spot fishing seems to be amazing 👍
Mindblowingly beautiful out here and you should’ve taken a fly rod and some flies. Maybe on another trip out there?
great video and great fishing guys!! have a good day and week. god bless
I love it. I hate that I miss the event though, but I’m trying to be at the one in Pennsylvania.
I need a kayak man. Great video bro.
That was a great video, breathtaking scenery
Glad you enjoyed it
Absolutely gorgeous!
Glad you got to come down here and catch some shoalies. They are a ton of fun!
“Hey the best part is!!” Sent me 🤣🤣🤣🤣 2:10
What a gorgeous river.
Alex , that’s the kind of rivers I’m fishing in Quebec , and i catch 2/3/4 pounds smallmouth in the same kind of shallow water 💦, especially in may and juin !
Sounds sick!
New truck goofin? 👀👀
Bro this looks so dope… i gotta try this!
Fish or no fish, what a beautiful trip!
That river has some serious Susky vibes! Great video dude
Awesome!
Dang you don't give a crap about that kayak 😂
It’s made for it. I told the people over at Crescent I was going to try to break it and they said “you won’t be able to it’s made for it.”
Looks allot like the cahaba in Alabama
Right at 17:15 of the video while you where trying to catch a fish you missed the snake swimming right in front of your kayak . Then John walks over and pulls tha kayak up for you..
That was just a reflection 😁
Max scent drop shot worm 1/0 hook, that's the deal there.
Awesome video!!! What part of the Flint are yall on?
what reel size for spinning reel that you use for D worm? I want to try that. Relaxing and watching your video. Awesome catches!

Beautiful place. I’m just curious what size and specs is that spinning combo.
Check out the pinned comment.
Do those kyaks float, or do you just take them for a walk every so often ? 🤣
👍👍
Do you use a gopro hero 12?
amzn.to/4ajYmjR this is what I use.
