    great video! i bought recently the p2419h but i was so used to a great color monitor that it felt really blent, i guess for someone who doesnt know how good colors a monitor can get, it is definitly a great pick, specially if it is for some office/second monitor style. Im returning it to get the u2419h since the audio input is a great deal for me

    Hey James, great video on both monitors. A quick question; for graphic design (not photo or video editing) would be the P2419h be good enough in terms of color accuracy after a calibration? I presume you did calibrate the P2419h, how close is it to U2419H. I'm trying to decide if the extra money will be worth buying U2419H. Because I'm going to buy 3 of them :)

    • @jcunboxing
      @jcunboxing  3 ปีที่แล้ว +1

      Colour accuracy for design is just as important, especially with a lot of graphic design content being show on digital devices, so having an accurate display is important. If you do have access to a colour calibration tool, then the P2419H might be sufficient for your use. Thought you are in for a luck of the draw in terms of the exact panels that you get. The Ultrasharps go through an extra process and quality check for colour accuracy, something the Professional series do not have.

    • @rgnyldz
      @rgnyldz 3 ปีที่แล้ว +1

      @@jcunboxing I understand, thank you for your answer. I will go and hunt for a discount on ultrasharp here in Turkey. Other than that I'll go for the P2319h series. That 23" might give a little bir more sharpness. For the outcome I'll post the results here so others can benefit ;)

    • @yerassylkelsingazin2408
      @yerassylkelsingazin2408 3 ปีที่แล้ว

      @@rgnyldz Hi! What is your experience after almost a year of using U2419H? Now, I do not know what to choose too: either P2419H or U2419H. After this video, for me they are still very similar to each other. What will you recommend from your point of view?

    • @rgnyldz
      @rgnyldz 3 ปีที่แล้ว

      @@yerassylkelsingazin2408 hey there, I ended up buying U2419 yes but how did you know that I bougth them :)
      If you are going to do simple graphic design than I think P2419 will do just fine because not all your customers or visitors will have a color accuracy as you will (Or as professionals). If you are going to do print design then I would recomend the U series. But other than that I believe that if you don't have that much of a sharp eye for details and colors I would go with P series since they are a bit cheaper.
      If you are at the right distance the pixel density will not bother you. But it's definately there. (I used a 17" 1080p monitor for a long time, that was sharp. )
      For the pivot handling I really never use it :) But it is useful if you have a 3 monitor setup like me and want them to align them perfectly.

    • @yerassylkelsingazin2408
      @yerassylkelsingazin2408 3 ปีที่แล้ว +1

      Ergün YILDIZ it is common, when people doubt what to buy, then they usually choose better option :D What about monitor stand? I read that U series’ stand is more thinner and when you lift up as much as possible, monitor becomes unstable and swings. But to my mind, other features are better at U series: more coolers, screen is thinner. Am I right? :)

    Great review! Since it has been a few months since this review, what is your impression of the U2419H now. The U2419H currently has a 1 star rating at 10% on Amazon where a few reviews are complaining of flickering and all out failure. which is high in my opinion. The U2417H model (2yrs older) only has a 1 start rating of 2% and much higher customer satisfaction. I like the fact that the 19H only weighs 6.9lbs versus the 13.9lbs of the 17H but if the quality is better in the 17H, that would be my deciding factor. The 19H is actually slightly cheaper than the 17H as well.

    on Dell's part to NOT INCLUDE the STAND that WAS MADE IN 2019--- with the P version --- that was MADE IN 2019!!
    This is the KIND OF GARBAGE that sent DELL down the tubes the FIRST time it LEFT the STOCK MARKET( plus its overwhelming debt)!!

    Do all the changes you mentioned for the BASE on the U2419H apply to the P2419HC?

      I'm not entirely sure, but I think the physical aspects of the monitor are the same, only difference is the USB-C cable. I'm not entirely sure though...

    Excelent! Thanks for this video. Solve my doubt about color and sharpness between U and P series. I have a U2417H and a few weeks after the garantee has expired the IPS panel screen burned out. Dell has not repair program or technical assistance in Brazil and no spare parts to sell. A great product, but disposable when out of garantee period. Good Bye Dell, never more.

    Is P2419H serie more valuable than U2419H serie?

    • @jcunboxing
      @jcunboxing  3 ปีที่แล้ว

      The main differences beside physical differences is that the Ultrasharp comes factory calibrated for colour accuracy.

    What if I add sharpness on P series monitor, wouldn't it be sharper? :D

    • @jcunboxing
      @jcunboxing  3 ปีที่แล้ว +1

      It would look sharper but I wouldn't recommend it. It's artificial sharpness and I think it doesn't enhance the overall image, unless you have a very specific use for it.

    Thank you James, anyway in Indonesia, U2419H and P2419HC is same price (little different), so what do you think? should i buy P2419HC with Type C or take U2419H ?

    • @jcunboxing
      @jcunboxing  3 ปีที่แล้ว

      Completely depends on your needs and if the C is going to be beneficial for you, or if the Ultrasharp colour accuracy is more important.

    Hey guys do you think the P2421D even being a P series instead of U, is better than the U2419H? I know the better resolution is a plus but overall, did anyone copared both?

    • @jcunboxing
      @jcunboxing  3 ปีที่แล้ว

      All comes down to whether you need the colour accuracy. If so get the Ultrasharp

    • @4bianchi
      @4bianchi 3 ปีที่แล้ว

      @@jcunboxing Im actually looking for a more comfy looking screen for long work hours, reading texts and graphics. If collor acuracy delivers that, im definately trying it! but if resolution makes more sense... i'd go for the QHD. Im asking because I had a LG ultrawide 2560x1080 and it was soooooo smooth to work with it. Not the same feel with the P2319h. I even compared them but it looks like they have the same specs.

    Would you recommend the DELL P2720D over U2419H? Does the ultrasharp makes difference? My budget cant reach the ultrasharp 27 inch

    • @DesignsByMario
      @DesignsByMario 4 ปีที่แล้ว +3

      The P2720D is definitely a much better monitor overall if you're not doing colour critical work, like graphics design. It's a good amount bigger over the Ultrasharp, but also has a 1440p resolution which is a lot better than 1080p.
      You are missing out a few features, the stand on the Ultrasharp is a bit better, the colours on the Ultrasharp are better and some small details like the specifically charging port on the left side of the display.
      But overall, I'd say the P2720D is a much better deal.
