@@johnmccracken513 you’re absolutely right and that was recognized and the paradigm shifted after that. That gun was actually called out by them as an outlier because of chain reaction and how easy it was to get.
Yep, thought this right off the bat as well. There was a philosophical change to ritual weapons when they switch to the current method of giving them out.
It's pretty deadly on a Voidlock with weaken nades. You can toss a lot of nades, you apply debuffs, so kills with Veles-X gets you 50% damage boost and constant overshields. Of course that void class character can also rip through content with my favorite current world drop, the Fioritura-59. You can (if you get it to drop, easy enough with some work since there's a vendor in the helm that drops Suros) choose from Tricorn or Repulsor Brace. One does stupid damage, the other gets you solid damage and overshields. Brace is probably better; since you are constantly volatile, the damage buff even from Tricorn is not necessary.
I have had great results for Veles-X in pvp. I am not a huge fan of these 4 round pulses in pve but this is an exception. My only wish for this weapon is maybe a Desperado perk but that may be o.p.

Absolutely insane, I was actually struggling in the seasonal playlist but now I'm speed running it with ease
Just going to throw this out there but the Other Half sword can also be crafted with Repulsor Brace on it, now I know you’re probably reading this thinking yeah but why would you when you can have Eager Edge? If you pair it with Gyrfalcons Hauberk and craft it with Relentless Strikes + Repulsor Brace and use the Stylish Executioner void aspect, the Echo of Persistence void fragment, the Echo of Starvation void fragment (devour on orb collection), Harmonic Siphon and Lucent Blade you can have a hunter that constantly has an over shield, is invisible, is at full health (as long as you’re hacking through adds) and has a sword that constantly has a 35% damage buff from Lucent Blade. It’s one of the most broken builds I’ve used in a while. It’s also still very good post-volatile nerf.

Of course there is a bug with this weapon and it is worth taking advantage of. Pull it from collections and you get a stability mw instead of handling. But you also have to enable your mag by clicking on it which is weird. But I used this in PvP to get MMXXII and after like 30 kills I came to really loving this pulse. However you said reckless endangerment, or whatever that shotgun is called, is decent in PvP. No its not. Its trash. It was better last season before the shotgun changes but it wasn't even good then.
How could you even think it was bad to begin with? For PVE it has the best damage perk in the game paired with a great void subclass first perk and it also had god tier PVP perks all on one gun whilst also being in a pulse rifle meta. There are literally no reasons to think its bad lol.
Yep. For some reason people are saying it's bad because pulse rifles are bad in PvE. I think they're fine in PvE. This thing is literally of of, if not THE strongest void legendary weapon
@@jonahbrown5669 I use it for the anti barrier if I want to use witherhoard in GMs (if im not using wishender or arbalest) and its my insant go to when I see titan barricade spamming in trials or comp. Dude, Cry Mutiny is amazing, what do you mean? I think you’re sleeping on that weapon just like you’re saying we all are sleeping on Veles-X, even tho I don’t think people are sleeping on the pulse. Cry Mutiny can make an infinite ignite loop and clear rooms with incandescent and Vorpal by just getting two kills with one cannon shot or have incandescent get a kill. It can also use Demolitionist/Vorpal which is just so good for solar synergy when using a Starfire Protocol build. I even used it on a void Hunter for the Warden of Nothing GM yesterday and it just wrecks the boss at the end, I did have High Energy Fire procced tho.
Agree with pretty much everything except the take on chain of command. It’s literally the all-round LMG you can make work on any subclass/build/activity. With elemental wells + font being THE combat style mods to use in optimal setups this things gives you the option to either slap on osmosis to match the burn of a nightfall (AND combine it with adaptive munitions if you didn’t feel like building around matchgame) or turn you into a grenade powerhouse never having to manually reload with the osmosis demo combo (once again, matchable with burns and any subclass). Hell. If you were planning on running stasis regardless already you’d have acces to AJ/Demo and suddenly your utility gun could dish out a decent chuck of damage by itself. Not the best LMG dps wise, not the best LMG utility wise. But never a bad pick with multiple options to make it work for whatever you had planned, which is exactly what a ritual weapon should be like imo.
If that's what a ritual weapon should be like then there's no point in having ritual weapons. That's just most decent weapons. If an LMG isn't good with DPS (which is most of them) because it's supposed to "excel at adclear", then it's a waste of a heavy slot. We have way too many varied options that adclear way better than any LMG and don't require heavy ammo, many not even requiring special ammo to do so. DPS aside, if it's not even then best LMG utility wise, then unless you're purposely ignoring the countless more build-serviceable weapons in the game (even some that are LMGs themselves) Chain of Command just comes out as kinda "eh". Not bad, not good. Of course, I'm speaking from a high to endgame tier pve pov, since that's the only situation in which these conversations even have any relevance.
I'm pretty sure the second part of Tricorn can (at least sometimes) proc from Volatile kills, as they count as ability kills and not weapon kills. All the more reason to run it with Gyrfalcon.
Looks like someone doesn’t know that crime unit has been causing infinite ignitions with the volt full incandescent combo😳 (or maybe I’m just late to the party is all)

With arc GL's, using an arc class and benefiting from a bunch of arc traces and the like just gives you a free damage boost and more survivability. This pulse is "meh" if you run on anything that isn't void. If you do run void and volatile, it's stronger than just about any other pulse you can find right now.

Best thing about both of those weapons is that they're easily obtainable, so they're GREAT for new players. Salvager's Salvo is better than Forbearance in some cases too (like against flying enemies)
@@jonahbrown5669 tldr, yes its best. cart = doo doo. riptide gets auto-load vorpal

Nope it is absolutely terrible. Tried it several times on my shadow hunter but it's ttk is sooooo slow compared to the Fioritura-59 side-arm with repulser brace.
try the hollowed denial trace i love that thing on my hunter
Why would you even make this comparison? They have entirely different engagement ranges.
@@Welverin Even on long ranges this pulse is terrible. If you have a decent hunter void built with repulsor it makes no sense to keep that far away anyway. Tried both on nightfalls and 2 of us were rocking the pulse and we were shocked how terrible it was. Grabbed the side arm and was a world of a difference.
@@Kanudee Jup it's pretty awesome as well! A lot better than this pulse.
Pulses are cheeks for PvE
Perhaps if you only run the strike playlist and never face barrier champions. Or you’re that one guy that uses bows against those or even worse assumes someone else to be able to stagger them for him when needed?
cry mutiny is fun, command is good utility
Am I the only dude who likes Cry Mutiny? 😭
it's bad.
Doesn't require any farming? Lol 12 hours of strikes, crucible, or gambit doesn't count as farming?
not really 12 hours more like 6-8 or just do it on a double vanguard xp week and do nightfalls and get it done in like 3 hours
@@Kanudee That, and any D2 player is doing those things during the course of the season anyway, so you'll get it eventually without having to make a concerted effort for it.
@@Welverin yea fr if you play the game you use get it
