I'm not sure what you mean but they do have some amazing vocal effects and recording capabilities even on this 16 or 17 year old technology- it came with a ton of vocal effects and mastering effects
Actually computers were buggy and complicated back then. Using something like that was so easy that you could concentrate on making music. I love these machines
@@Rockem1234 Well, I wouldn't say buggy and complicated. Software was certainly buggy. DAW interfaces could be a pain. These are handy. These were made to appeal to guitarists, recording alone, and they tried to cram as many features in as possible. I bought one of these on ebay a few years ago. $60.00. Its' main drawback? The hard drive failed. These use IDE drives. I happened to have a 160GB IDE drive lying around. I installed it, formatted it, and voila. I can record a lot. A whole lot, lol. These are pretty cool little devices, and they're nice and portable!

Sorry, but in 2002 PCs were already affordable and could have done way better. I don't get the point of this product.

I prefer computer based daw too, but these are handy for quick little projects. I grabbed one for 20 bucks off Craigslist and love it

I use this to record today in 2024😂...the point is is it's tactical appeal..sometimes you want to pull on a real potentiometer when you record 😂
