You gotta do what you gotta do, I only let this happen if the dog is a puppy or it’s just doing so because it’s scared. Otherwise I try not to let pee get on my hand. 😅
I’d recommend using the febreeze “fabric fresh” on it afterwards. It gets rid of smells and it doesn’t leave your couch wet, it’s especially designed for fabrics. Just leave it 5-10 minutes and you should be set.
At least this one’s on the actual couch rather than just a piece of fabric because it’s much harder to clean an actual couch then just a small piece of fabric
