almost getting hit by a car
When I was traveling from the city of dhanbad to howrah with some friends we saw a guy on a moterbike and he chased us for 2 and a half hours (it takes 5 hours form dhanbad to howrah) before stopping and we lost him and we still don't know who he was or what his intentions were.

I've been watching since the first Africa trip in early 2018(Tanzania to Somaliland)
Traveling alone and through borders do seem scary indeed Drew. Especially in countries where governments don't have the best relationship with your country. But it also looks so cool. Traveling is quite an adventure!

Russia and North Korea are no joke! I went to North Korea in 2018 and felt fine as I was on a guided tour but snooping around the borders is a bit crazy!

Man you missed so many good parts of Guinea😭. One of the most beautiful countries in west africa. Im not surprised you experienced lots of corruption when you were driving your own vehicle. Definitely worth going back and seeing the country properly instead of just hopping in

I’m from Conakry Guinea. It’s unfortunate that I have to agree with you. Last time I visited we got stop every single night by police asking for bribes. Luckily my cousin knew some of them and we wiggled our way out. But yes, extremely dirty and very poor. The people are very kind and welcoming though. And yes we had a coup.

Mexican here, Chiapas is an absolutely wild place. I've never been (unfortunately), but I've heard it can get pretty crazy in some places.
Drew those loud sounds in Mexico are firework mortars, some places use them to wake the whole town up.

I can relate to the Mexico thing because it happens a lot and the environment and the surrounding make it feel like an attack is happening I am from Mexico and I visit my town a lot and those same things happen but your right it can make you feel uncomfortable

Thank you for traveling to West Africa and showing us what it's like there, so we don't have to.
My scariest moment was when I was in Guatemala when my gall bladder became very inflamed after eating chicarron pupusas from El Salvador that my aunt made the night before. I was in the worst pain of my life and if I had not fasted the two days afterwards I would have probably gone to the hospital or died. Guatemala is also my favorite of eight countries I visited.

@@edgararmas5 haha okay. I tried watching the sunrise in Rio de Janeiro Brazil at a location recommended by a friend. The Uber driver only spoke Portuguese. During the drive we saw a stopped car in the middle of the road and the drivers talked about something and he made a gesture of a gun and told us he's driving another way. Then we ended up on a street blocked by multiple police care with flashing sirens. 2 cops walked towards us one holding a handgun and the other a seni-automatic weapon pointed right at us. They pulled the driver out and then opened the back door to look at us. We said we didn't speak Portuguese and they let us drive back home. Ended up watching the sunrise from the beach which was probably just as nice lol
Hi Drew! Love your videos! We are currently traveling through the Chiapas state in Mexico, we've been loving the culture! I just wanted to share that one of the reasons why they are so worried about their privacy is because there are a lot of indigenous communities that function independently of the central gov. They achieved this through a very big struggle that cost the lives of many in their communities, the zapatista uprising. So they try to keep their communities and traditions safe, and they are not very found of tourists for this reason, they are just trying to protect their culture. Hope you found that interesting and hope you can go back and visit Lacandona jungle! is also in the Chiapas state and there is a community there that offers guides to help you navigate the jungle. They are very open to visitors, so friendly. Much love from MX!

You are brave man hey!I have been following your videos and really traveling to some of the countries is scary.Afghanistan,Iraq,Chad,Guinea,North Korea,Venezuela,Mexico,Sudan,Somalia and so forth. I am South African and I am scared to travel in some of the areas in my home country. At least I am feeling a bit safe in a foreign country ESwatini where I live right now

These are truly nothing events and very minor incidents. It is amazing that in all of your travels that you have not been
1. Kidnapped
2. Robbed of all your equipment
3. Drugged, injured or severally sick.
4. Beat up
5. Imprisoned for a long period of time
6. Lost or stranded
7. Stuck due to visa issues.
To believe that all people are wonderful and enjoy seeing Americans of your religion there is not being truthful.
