I don't think Kaioken Blue needed to be it's own form, that ultimate should've just been a whole Kaioken rush move that maybe ends with a kamehameha instead of just a beam
While MUI Goku's ult doesn't have a reaction shot from the opponent getting hit, I do like the detail of the black lines within the beam, implying that's where the opponent is, getting blasted.
10:51 "Where even is his opponent?" So you see that dark blue spread out splotch being completely overwhelmed by the beam at near point-blank range? That's the opponent.
Kinda wish "All-Encompassing Power" was replaced/revamped into something that turns him into Super Saiyan 2, like how one of SSB Vegeta's Blast 1's turns him into SSBE, given how much screentime Goku's SSJ2 form was given in the fight against Goku Black and the Tournament of Power.
I think base and ssj are pretty good for Super Goku but his Super only transformations... well they ok at best... and yes i wish too that blue kaioken would be a separate form cause he is missing so many cool attacks! As for UI i actually like all of his moves so he is good and for me MUI ultimate goes hard... yes it doesn't show the enemy but i kind of don't care ... actually i like it that some doesn't show it so its different! Super Goku is not gonna be used many times on my teams... even though he is my favorite character but i just like all the other versions more! (except UI he is good)
Honestly on the note of the Supers and Ultimates? I think it has a lot to do with the times this came out in and how it differs from the old BT entries. Back then, BT was a game series confined to local multiplayer and older hardware. Of course the Wii versions of these games could do online but those were the fairly early days of proper online gaming. What this meant was attacks could be exactly as long as they needed to be since they understood you were likely playing on your own or occasionally with a friend when they came over or of course a sibling and hopefully, you're all fine with the animation length. Online makes it a different beast. Frankly, as much as I love the cinematic stuff, it would genuinely get aggravating and tiring to have to sit through the same animations over and over again just to do it. That being said, maybe in patches they can do subtle tweaks here and there to make some stuff less jarring.
@@sauce987654321 Intro animations are a bit different I'd say. It's the start of the fight and really in those opening moments, it's a good time to straighten up your posture, take a sip of a drink. It's tedious but also nothing's more bothersome than not being ready but because your opponent's impatient, they skip the intro and thus you're left having to quickly get into it. It's tedious yes but it's that kind of tedious that with time you won't care about. Hell, it helps that there are other fighting games that don't let you skip the intro online either so it's not even like it's a weird outlier.
@@sauce987654321 That's a fair point though in defense of that, the intro is still an intro. It's when players are getting settled in and really, it's not that big a deal the intro plays every time you start an online match. Hell, other games do this. At the start of a fight, I think it's more expected that a little time's gonna be spent just getting ready so forcing players to take a moment makes sense at least to me. With Supers and Ultimates it's a bit different. Some of those animations could go for a decent bit of time and also one has to keep in mind just what this game's doing. If it looked like the old days with basically flat textured grass and smaller arenas and was local? They probably wouldn't have minded making some attacks longer but as is? I feel like they aimed for a compromise. The attacks look devastating and powerful but they don't waste so much time as to leave opponents just kicking the air waiting for a chance to keep going.
I feel like you should make characters' ki blasts and charged ki blasts part of the moveset videos. UI Goku for instance has a unique shockwave punch from the anime as his charged ki blast.
I’d like if goku blue and golden frieza both did their rush because it’s the same and instead of it being a clash it would be like the anime where they both punched each other and Goku would go back into his base lol
They really did fumble with blue goku. His rush could have been the one inch punch or the combo he did against hit in kaioken or the rage moment he had against black. Instead, they went with that which is made worse by the fact that it's shared with frieza.
Still at it nice. I rewatched your DBZ BT3 moveset reactions not very long ago because of nostalgia. You haven't become less strict over the years i hear 😂
The one probably have the ultimate in this game is they look very dynamic but they all lack actual impact and I’ve been feeling this way since the game was shown to us. It’s all very anti-climactic when this game originally showed itself and we had no gameplay I was hoping for something like raging blast too. Because that’s the natural evolution of BT three perfected everything that that game basically had and more in my personal opinion. And sparking is just B3 with characters and a unneeded skill counter. Now that all may seem pretty negative, but I was excited for the game and I still love playing it, but my personal grudges with it cannot be understand
I honestly wouldn’t have minded if they brought back the meteor combinations from bt3 and the rapid ki blast special just to add variety to his early forms. In this game the supers look underwhelming and too many forms have the same move set
main reason i dont play ssb goku in this is his ult is just a regular Kamehameha and not the move he used vs hit where he flies through it and punches SUPER missed opportunity
Love seeing these again after all these years. Your voice volume is a little quiet over the music in this one I will say. It was a little hard to understand every word since the subtitles from the old vids are gone.
Yo man. Awesome vid. Only thing that needs improving imo is that the background music was too loud and it was hard to hear your voice. Otherwise, I’m hyped to see these videos again :)
The lack of victim reactions and pushing attacks back is a problem present in SO many ultimate moves in this game, unfortunately. Also, why does the Shenron Aura not actually give him a Shenron aura? And why reuse the overhead Kamehameha in Ultra Instinct Goku's moveset in both the rush and regular super?
I just realised with Blue , I am surprised they gave him that lame punch as a rush instead of the back fist he did to Zamasu or the 1 inch punch. edit: btw does the music actually change for mui , if it does then that is pretty cool
Technically you can see the opponent engulfed in the beam in Mastered UI Goku. Those black lines in the middle of the beam are the opponent, but otherwise, your point stands. Had they had an animation of starting to push through the beam in resistance before he throws more power into it, that'd have been something, but it does feel like overkill to throw twice the power into an attack when the enemy has provided no resistance to the initial amount. Nitpicking, sure, but I feel you on that one.
Agree with most of your comments, especially for Ultra Instinct - Sign's Ultimate. One of the coolest moments in super, but him hopping to non existent platforms and dodging nothing makes it weird. Since they were able to give an alternate move for Goku based on his costume, I sort of wish they stuck with that instead of having so many Goku variants. I think one Z Goku with SS1, 2, and 3 would be fine, with minor adjustments for base and SS1. Same can be said for Vegeta and a few other characters.
Yeah the beams in this game look like you are hitting people with long rubber or styrofoam sticks, especially when they curve 😀. Like i just dont get any feeling of weight and destruction. They were so much better in BT3. This is my only complaint, other than that the game looks amazing.
I actually would love to see the technique MUI Goku used against Moro during the manga (binds the enemy midair and then leaping upwards and punching him in the gut) as MUI Goku's ultimate instead of this one. I know it wasn't aninated yet but it would be hella awesome regardless. (Remember that we had Final Kamehameha on BT3 before it was featured in the anime)
This is what I hate about Spirit Bomb Ultimates, it's literally a move that he only uses very very rarely and on a very very specific occasion, against specific opponents. There's no reason Goku would be sparring against Piccolo or Vegeta and need to use a Spirit Bomb. Can't we just have changeable ultimates? Like give him a cool rush or attack he did in the broly movie or something
I agree with almost everything except for the Ultra Instinct Sign ultimate, I really like it, his grab is awesome too. I don't like Goku SSJ rush attack, too simple and lacks impact, Goku MUI's ultimate looks so horrible and underwhelming, I hate it so much. Edit: I forgot, I think the Power Pole Dance comes from the Dead Zone movie, the whole sequence looks too much to what he did to Garlic Jr's henchmen.
It seems like this game suffers from an overreliance on a lot of what I can only call "visual shorthand" with the flow of a lot characters' animations only making sense if you've seen the source material
This game is missing that ‘chunky’ sound effect when a beam hits. It’s a lot less satisfying without it, and I also think the game is generally less violent than BT3? Probably why you don't see direct hits as often
What I would've given Blue and God Goku: God: Godly Kamehameha (Not just the regular one, the one he uses against Beerus in the Anime and it is more a Ball than a Blast) God Impact (Leave it at that) Ultimate: Destruction Stopper (The Explosive Wave he used to destroy Beerus' energy ball) Blue: Limit Breaker Kamehameha (This should just be a Super) Kaioken Kick (The one he uses against Fused Zamasu) Ultimate: Kaioken Finish (The combo he uses against Hit that finishes with a Kamehameha and a Dragon Fist, he has that in FighterZ)
Honestly Super Goku's moveset feels worse than Z or GT. No spirit bomb, no dragon fist, no meteor combination. I get that these some of the other Gokus already have them but is spamming 5 different Kamehamehas really any better? EDIT: He does have the spirit bomb I'm just blind.
Blue Goku getting his Xenoverse punch was neat, though they also gave it to Golden Frieza for some reason. I don't get it. Aside from his Super Saiyan form, most of DBS Goku's ultimates are pretty underwhelming. A shame. At least Blue Goku's still better off than Blue Vegeta.
Because the move is actually referencing when Goku and Frieza were fighting and they both punched together during the start of the universal survival saga.
Why they giving base and Super Saiyan Goku better movesets than the flagship form of the show? I don't recall DBS Goku having any impressive moments in Super Saiyan. Heck, Super Saiyan 2 had better showings and even that's stretching it. Did he really need a generic Kamehameha finisher with cinematic flare? I would have rather have the 1-inch-punch in his moveset over the Punch in the face really hard from the Golden Frieza fight. Also funny seeing Super Saiyan God Goku using the Rasengan. Did he even use Kamehameha in that form? Super Saiyan God is kinda forgetable, so I only remember the Rasengan and the awful looking red dragon. I feel the Kamehameha should not be this overused if there is a possibility to add a unique move and the move being already represented in a rush. The problem is apparent with GT Goku who could have had the unique feature to run while in Kamehameha charging mode as Super Saiyan or his Super Saiyan 3 variant having anything from his Baby fight implemented in his moveset, even if it wasn't that impressive.
I definitely think it should have been hit punch like fighterz for blues ultimate but I wish kioken also take some HP or some ki like old games it's a nitpick but just feels weird being free in this game
In bt3, energy attacks made the whole sky dark, made a powerful noise, and either blew up on the guy and shook the screen or bent him over and continued straight Here, they go out, hit, and make a fart cloud.
@sulfuricacid951 Impact frames suck in this game, not only with ki blasts but punches also lack the same weight that bt3 had. Dont get me started on the size of these ki blast being so thin and underwhelming compared to bt3 (Yes I know they added tracking, but I would prefer no tracking and bigger blasts). Also giant characters are bugged, most of the time you cant even see your opponent especially with all the dust particles and effects and your attacks are hit and miss cause of weird hitboxes. Game is sadly lacking in areas where it really shouldnt be.
To me the UI and incomplete UI finishers work because of how dramatic they are. It’s hilarious to me to pull those moves to characters like Chiaotzu and Yajirobe. Don’t need context for that.
Anyone wish they'd increase the duration of kaioken and blue evolved? 15 seconds is just too short . Should be 30 . And why does blue evolution cost 5 skill points when kaioken costs 3 . They are equal in boost
Would be cool to see some melee trunks content, especially in his Super trunks mode. Ive been trying to cook some combos in that form but its been tough in mutiplayer
I’ll never use goku outside of the story where he’s mandatory but hey gotta help omega with the algorithm so here I am. The ultra instinct ult does look really dumb without keflas beam there for him to move around you’re not wrong. Bro just skipping around for no reason while the opponent waits for him to blast.
Why are you complaining about characters putting more power into attacks? That's such a weird complaint. I feel like you're just specifically trying to find things to complain about. You never complained about Goku turning Super Saiyan to push the Spirit Bomb like against Kid Buu, you never complained about SSJ2 Teen Gohan having to boost his Kamehameha like against Cell, I watched all your old videos and you never once had that kind of complaint, but for some reason you're considering it a "negative" here when Blue and UI Goku do the exact same thing
Especially since the Spirit Bomb has the same logic as the Goku (End) one - End goes super saiyan because that’s how he used the spirit bomb against Buu, Super goes blue and then kaioken because that’s how he used it against Jiren.
As he said, that's because there's no feedback prompting for the powering up. In BT3 you see the opponent catch the ultimate and resist it before your character powers up to overwhelm him, in Sparking Zero it feels like your character powers up just for the heck of it
It's because in BT3 it's framed as if the opponent is holding or pushing back the Spirit Bomb, which prompts Goku to go Super to put more power into it. It's just a minor complaint about theatrics is all. Hell, every ultimate in Budokai 3 got it right with most of them showing the opponent character holding back your attack a bit for tension.
seeing these movesets really just pains me all the more that they didn't go the raging blast way and have customizable supers..... these are such bland movesets. The anime has so MUCH more to reference from and this is all they could have done?
I rly like the characters, and I appreciate the animations and details, but I feel like some animations just take longer than they should and you could easily get tired of seeing it after some plays. Just a simple complaint from what I seen from the game, no hate at all, the game is beautiful (also, Im not gonna buy so no need to take me so seriously). As an example, to me it feels like blue goku takes too long to charge his ultimate. In tenkaichi 3 the animations are much shorter and still good (even tho its not close). But I could easily be wrong, maybe you get used after playing (or like I said, you end up tired)

Youre videos are honestly staple at this point. If there is a Dragonball z game that youre talking about, im watching it
The final attack Goku and Frieza used against jiren shouldve been in this game for at least one of their ultimates
2:45 I know it is a generic Kamehameha-Wave but I love the scream when he charges it up.
YESSS the KING of BT3 reviews is here to do his job for SPARKING !!!
I don't think Kaioken Blue needed to be it's own form, that ultimate should've just been a whole Kaioken rush move that maybe ends with a kamehameha instead of just a beam
"I know I'm being nitpicky here"
Dude, you're always nitpicky
I love how super Saiyan god and super Saiyan blue replaces 2&3
I wish 2 and 3 were power ups

Or they changed which golden haired Super Saiyan form he goes into based on his costume. Like in the ToP he used SS2 way more than 1.

While MUI Goku's ult doesn't have a reaction shot from the opponent getting hit, I do like the detail of the black lines within the beam, implying that's where the opponent is, getting blasted.
10:51
"Where even is his opponent?"
So you see that dark blue spread out splotch being completely overwhelmed by the beam at near point-blank range? That's the opponent.
I wish they make it easy to see your opponent
Besides Kid Goku, every version of Base Goku has a Spirit Bomb Ultimate Attack. I needed a moment to process that when I first realized it.
(except UI he is good)
I can't wait for you to do GT Goku moveset!
This man has spent a decade in the hyperbolic time chamber for this moment!
I feel like this theory falls apart considering that they force you to watch a tedious intro at the start of every online battle, every single time.
Dawg you were my childhood. Thank you for coming back.
They really did fumble with blue goku. His rush could have been the one inch punch or the combo he did against hit in kaioken or the rage moment he had against black. Instead, they went with that which is made worse by the fact that it's shared with frieza.
When I use Super Goku I only use him up to God. SSJ and God have the most fun moves and “All encompassing power” is CLUTCH
Bro this music is godlike😭🙏
Anyone else just noticed that weird glitch on his face when he goes Super Saiyan 1 and is SO bothered by it?😅
Hope you do a video on those movesets from BT3 that changed, like SS2 Goku
Nice detail about Blue, Goku mostly attacks with kicks. In reference to when he lost use of his arms against Fused Zamasu
main reason i dont play ssb goku in this is his ult is just a regular Kamehameha and not the move he used vs hit where he flies through it and punches
SUPER missed opportunity
Love seeing these again after all these years. Your voice volume is a little quiet over the music in this one I will say. It was a little hard to understand every word since the subtitles from the old vids are gone.
He should go back to the old style, black screen with subs

BRUUUUHHH OMEGA2040 is back! 😭😭🙏🏽🙏🏽
7:50 what move is this I never seen this wow how I access this 🔥🔥🔥🔥
I have no issues with the ultimates apart from but seeing the opponents struggle.
Blue Golu's rush is so disappointing. I was expecting him to have the One Inch Punch with maybe an extra combo. This was sad.
Best OST in the game
Agree with most of your comments, especially for Ultra Instinct - Sign's Ultimate. One of the coolest moments in super, but him hopping to non existent platforms and dodging nothing makes it weird. Since they were able to give an alternate move for Goku based on his costume, I sort of wish they stuck with that instead of having so many Goku variants. I think one Z Goku with SS1, 2, and 3 would be fine, with minor adjustments for base and SS1. Same can be said for Vegeta and a few other characters.
How much I'd like to see Raditz/Pre-Kaio Goku as a char one day.
Oh wait this is Super-Goku, ah well.
WE'RE SO BARACK!!!
My man is back 😂🥹
love the vids, been watching for years, just a piece of advice, tone down the bgm when u speak since the music is a bit loud
The promised time has arrived.
What I would've given Blue and God Goku:
God:
Godly Kamehameha (Not just the regular one, the one he uses against Beerus in the Anime and it is more a Ball than a Blast)
God Impact (Leave it at that)
Ultimate: Destruction Stopper (The Explosive Wave he used to destroy Beerus' energy ball)
Blue:
Limit Breaker Kamehameha (This should just be a Super)
Kaioken Kick (The one he uses against Fused Zamasu)
Ultimate: Kaioken Finish (The combo he uses against Hit that finishes with a Kamehameha and a Dragon Fist, he has that in FighterZ)
the way every attack explodes is also weird
like, your enemy gets hit by an energy beam and then blue smoke comes out
why is the energy smoking???

@@Austin-jd4os You're right. They did a little sparring before the TOP.
That's another reason I hate SSBE being a skill. It made SSB Vegeta's moveset ass.
In bt3, energy attacks made the whole sky dark, made a powerful noise, and either blew up on the guy and shook the screen or bent him over and continued straight
Here, they go out, hit, and make a fart cloud.
Don’t need context for that.
so many kamehamehas and ki based supers on the game
Anyone wish they'd increase the duration of kaioken and blue evolved? 15 seconds is just too short . Should be 30 . And why does blue evolution cost 5 skill points when kaioken costs 3 . They are equal in boost
the 1inch fist should been Goku Super's grip
Yep, and teen Gohan using only one arm to fire the Kamehameha when he has both is another example too
That’s what I’m confused on here too.
I think the music is too loud in this one. It’s hard to hear some of your commentary.
Anyone know what the background song is in this video? It's really good but I'm not sure if its from Sparking Zero or another Dragon Ball game.
what's the first song called?
seeing these movesets really just pains me all the more that they didn't go the raging blast way and have customizable supers..... these are such bland movesets. The anime has so MUCH more to reference from and this is all they could have done?
I miss these videos
Name of music at 4:30?
I rly like the characters, and I appreciate the animations and details, but I feel like some animations just take longer than they should and you could easily get tired of seeing it after some plays. Just a simple complaint from what I seen from the game, no hate at all, the game is beautiful (also, Im not gonna buy so no need to take me so seriously).
As an example, to me it feels like blue goku takes too long to charge his ultimate. In tenkaichi 3 the animations are much shorter and still good (even tho its not close). But I could easily be wrong, maybe you get used after playing (or like I said, you end up tired)
Im surprised we didn’t see all gokus in one video
Sucks that only two characters in the whole games have moves that change with the outfit. Also that UI doesnt have a Nyoibo skin
wish they give him more unique ultimates besides give him kamehamehas for most of the forms
DBS Goku doesn't really have any noteworthy finisher attacks other than the kamehameha that could be an ultimate.
@@thebeginster with SSB the Kamehameha could've been a rush ultimate that ended with the beam and the Kamehamehas in SSG could've been red like the X10 Kamehameha from SS4 Goku
