I think it's funny that Scouter Vegeta's canonical weakest attack is his ultimate. What should his Ultimate be? The attack he used to try and destroy the Earth? The attack he used to kill Zarbon? The attack he used to try to kill Frieza? No! The attack he used to kill a Saibaiman and Cui, of course!
It's gotta be the two supers, one ultimate structure which means one has to kind of think to get creative and varied. With Raging Blast having so many options, it made sense why they finally retired it as an ultimate there.
I liked a lot that they took attacks from filler episodes to make buu's saga ssj and ssj2 vegeta moveset, ssj buu saga vegeta ultimate is from the fight he had with buuhan and ssj2 buu saga vegeta ultimate is from the combo that he did againts kid buu (vegeta missed the last hit and he did not do the final flash against kid buu).
@@Zacman1123 It's actually more complicated. It's an energy ball but drawn like a beam. It's commonly depicted as a beam in the games because of the scene where it's depicted going through Boo. It's kind of like how for the sake of animation, you'll sometimes see a blast stretch as though it's a beam.
Ok new theory: Scouter Vegeta should range from Saiyan saga to early Namek (pre-ginyu force). Early Z Vegeta should range from post Ginyu Namek to Cell saga. This way his base form is not generic and just has all of the attacks he did during the remainder of his time on namek. This way he could have genocide breaker and final galick cannon as his attacks since Cell saga Vegeta never actually fought or had any action in his base form. This of course is a solution if they never give us technique customization again (which was an absolutely STUPID decision to not include from Raging Blast)
That might be good for if they ever continue the Sparking series. Now that they've made the game, if they are willing to go the route of the other BT games and reuse assets to save time and resources, it might be easier for them to put in more techniques, especially customization.
There should be Scouter Vegeta and "Early Vegeta" Early Vegeta having Final Crash (energy blast on Recoome), Genocide Breaker (the attack that killed Jeice) and his all-out energy blast he used on Freeza's final form before he started crying
@@Travis371 I'd say that's what they should do for Base Vegeta for the Cell Saga stuff. Give him the armor he wore on Namek as an alternate costume and those moves and since in whatever story mode they make they'd lock your transformations anyway, it would work as a means of giving you a good base Vegeta moveset and it would fit even for the Cell Saga considering he was still cold and cruel at this point.
@@Travis371 that's pretty much exactly as I said. Final Galick Cannon is that all out blast he did against Frieza if I'm remembering what Raging Blast called it correctly
Getting rid of Genocide Breaker and Final Burst Canon is a crime. They really did buff SS2 Vegeta though and Spirt Breaking Canon is perhaps the best it has ever been.
@awsomedude23456 That was peak. Counter moves need to return. This game largely ingores Raging Blast much to my dismay. It handled movesets far better. The biggest advantage was it made it so we didn't need three Z Gokus and Vegetas. So we could have Yardrat drip SS3 Goku. The first game had a solid story mode something this game cannot say.
@ tbh I don’t mind all the different versions of the characters, the biggest downside of the budokai format that DB had over it was having 4 supers instead of 2. Plus you could swap them. This game during its “story mode” seemed to have different supers and ultimates but for some reason in the versus mods you can’t customize them
@nessdbest8708 The story mode drags and is just text fight more text. The third game gets things moving and improved the gameplay. Personally I didn't care for the upgrade system from the second game so there is that too.
Majin Vegeta’s final impact was corrected actually, it should not be a beam. I agree that Dirty Fireworks lost momentum in this version. It’s been my general complaint with Sparking Zero, I find the choreography of some returning attacks were weakened compared to what came before (I’ll never stop complaining about Burst Rush). What’s odd in this case is Sparking Zero usually removes part of the choreography if it wasn’t canon but in this case they added punches that aren’t in the anime or manga. It’s possible they added it to make the move longer compared to other attacks. Z Early Base Vegeta moveset I still find completely acceptable. There’s really nothing to pull from. The most Z Early does in battle is kick Android 19 once. I’m glad they just put all the generic moves in one spot. I also have to push back on Final Flash being just a beam on release, BT1-3 didn’t do a beam going out into space, that’s a B3 thing. Unless you’re arguing Final Flash specifically should have that as an end visual, and not that it’s an inherent stage effect. EoZ Vegeta is definitely one of the characters that had the biggest glow up. Adding a rush for finishing Pui Pui in place of another Galick Gun was a great choice that RB I imagine was more than partially responsible for. I also appreciate the energy volleys being retooled to have him perform them the way Vegeta does in the Buu Saga against Kid Buu. SSJ1 Vegeta having Cosmic Circle as his ultimate is another example of more effort going in to make the character feel unique. I personally would have preferred SSJ2’s ultimate being his rush down attack on Beerus in BoG that they gave to DBS SSJ1 Vegeta, as Vegeta is in SSJ2 when he does it, but I get that EoZ is not DBS. Overall I think Vegeta was given a lot of justice.
@@Zacman1123 Look up the scene from the show and you’ll see it’s a ball. It’s stretched out when it hits Buu, but it’s still significantly closer to a ball than a beam.
1:42 - 1:44 if you are using a giant character against a small character and the small character is on the floor you need to press down while you press the attack bottom in order to hit your opponent.
Final Impact was basically a sniper shot in the anime. Raging Blast got that part of it wrong by making it a beam. What it got RIGHT though, was the reaction of it punching through the opponent and them spiraling backward from it. Its exclusion is sorely missed in Sparking Zero.
I didn't even realize how all moves on giant ape vegeta have him go "I'll ______ you!" before charing up and firing an attack. What a silly little guy.
I really love what they did with Buu Saga Vegeta's movesets generally speaking and none of his other iterations from Z feel terrible. His one more basic moveset doesn't feel like such a glaring issue when the rest of them are so fleshed out.

I can't fault them too much for not giving Android Saga Base Vegeta anything due to him not fighting at all in the form. However, the devs should’ve just given him Genocide Breaker as a rush move if they weren’t able to give it to scouter Vegeta. Also, it would show that while Vegeta might be on the side of good, he’s still somewhat evil, like an anti-hero of sorts.
Vegeta (except maybe End) really got hit by the lack of sound effects and overly drawn out movesets here. The simpleness and brutality was the highlights of his older movesets, especially Scouter.
Scouter Vegeta in particular gets done dirty by the limited movesets in the Tenkaichi games. Even if you made a 2nd Early Getes to cover just Namek, he still wouldn't have room for everything. Really it's one of those instances where it's understandable but it leads to one just thinking they could've done something.
Raging Blast games did all of thse better and those games are over a decade old
Shit's so cooked lol
Better what?
Vegeta end is better in sparking zero no debate
scouter vegeta has the best moveset plain and simple hes missing genocide breaker and final burst canon
