It’s bacalo la viscayna, served over white rice. It’s pieces of codfish stewed in a tomato sauce that has olives, potatoes, big slices of onions, red pimentos, spices wine. 😊 Spanish dish

Me and my family are having our feast of the 7 fishes tomorrow. This year we’re having Cod, Mussels, Clams, shrimp, scallops, crab and calamari.

@@CannedFishFiles Chicken of the Sea sells tiny sardines for $0.99 and they're lemon flavored sardines are very good served with alfredo sauce on egg noodles. Is this something you would try?

After watching like 10 of your videos including the ''eliminate the fear'', I've finally ate my first ever can of sardines at 30 years old. It was a Clover Leaf mediterranean brieseling can.

Santa brought me a can of Nuris in olive oil, Ortiz Sardines in olive oil, Angelo Parodi Sardines in olive oil, and Sardine Pollastrini Di Anzo in olive oil. WooHoo! I’ve had Nuris. Love them. I believe there are a couple of reasons for the cod preparation. First off, coating the fish in crumbs and frying it gives the sauce something to cling to. Second, is a traditional recipe, and that's how it's done.
Man, I have fallen in love with Rugenfisch canned mackerel products. Especially in any of their red sauces.

Your videos have gotten me to try sardines. I go fishing a lot but never thought to eat sardines, although I've cleaned and cooked hundreds of fishes.

Just try whatever you have on hand. If you don't like em, try a different brand. It has been weird for me in the past, but getting past these kinds of things is good growth.

Hey Mat, your missing out on the real meal. I always eat my tinned fish with chunks of fresh crusty baguette and mop up every drop of the beautiful olive oil or sauce!
We( Italian Americans)eat Bacala salad chilled. It's usually just Bacala( salted cod that soaks awhile) olive oil,garlic and fresh parsley. Some folks add sliced olives or other ingredients.
Woke up it’s Xmas this is the best gift thank you Matt!❤️DRINKING GAME❤️every time he says “yeah”= I drink. “Yeah yeah”= 2 drinks. “Yeah yeah yeah”= 3 drinks. We’d be hammered🍶🎄

The Pollastrinis (non-tomato) are by far my favorites, I'm excited for your review! I can get them at my local Italian grocery for $4.50 a can if I buy a 10 pack.
I like em a lot. Off-camera, I have eaten a few cans of Pollastrinis and they're really great. Great size for a pilchard, great flavor. Maybe they could cram one or two more fish in a can, however. Let me know if you think they're kinda loosely packed?

Man, you’ve got me really wanting to order some Donosita Cod in Biscayne sauce... don’t know what biscayne sauce it but it looked good. And if the King of Deen tells me that he’s been eating the Patagonia white anchovies with roasted garlic everyday for a week and buys up as many as he can when they’re on sale, well I guess that’s my sign to do as the king does, and get myself summa those bad bois

As a result, the church allowed the Friday exception for fish from the no-meat rule to help out with the income fishermen might earn.
