Welcome to the spinning world! Your Sophie scarf turned out really cute. I’m currently doing the same as a gift for my mom: hand spun neon merino with Stellina and same pattern. Hugs from Provence, Adrien

That's lovely. I haven't dived into spinning yet, but one day I will. I only started knitting in November. One thing (or twelve) at a time!

Omg! This is just the inspiration I needed!! And thanks for mentioning Lily and Pine- they have some amazing fiber. I’d love to hear more about where you get your fiber 💓

Im so glad! so far I've one been using roving or braids I got from Knit city. And in my stash I have some lily and pine. 1 from Brambles rigde and 2 from fibre goddess. there all a mix of bfl, corridale and silks.

Great spin! I received my ashford 3 couple days after your last video aired and I’m off to learning after having done a couple years of spindle spinning

Congratulations! That turned out really nice. So, what do you think comparing the E-spinner to the Turkish drop spindle? Do you think your experience with drop spindles has helped with the E-spinner? I was also wondering why an E-spinner versus a peddle spinner, like the Ashford Kiwi 3, space? Thank you ! and it's super fun to watch what you are doing.

I really like the E-spinner, and I do think having a spindle helped a lot! Especially with understanding how to spin fiber into yarn. Drafting your fiber before each spin is really important. and it gave me a good practice on how to properly draft and hold the fiber as I work. A spindle is also slower, so you do get a good foundation in the whole process.. However I have met some spinners who hated the spindle and went straight to a spinning wheel so it really does depend on the person.
For me I just got the E-spinner cause I preferred it personally, Space was a factor but I Also liked that I didn't need to worry about treadle I could just focus on drafting, the spin and fiber itself, the yarn I was creating. Most people who do have a treadle will end up getting an electric later on to help with plying, and I didn't want to get two wheels, not for now haha. who knows maybe I will change my mind.
Also I went with the Ashford cause I loved how sturdy it was, and that it was wood. as there are cheaper plastic options on the market.
A little long, but I hope that answers some questions
