I really enjoy your channel and like how you test things. I was extremely impressed with your test of car racks. Anyway I have reluctance in buying a battery pump like this for my MTB. I'd tend to put gear like this in my pack and forget about it, hence I like CO2 because it's there when I need it, even after years. So therefore I'm wondering about charge retention and whether it hold a charge if not recharged for 6 months-12 months. I also noticed they do make a larger versions currently on sale at Amazon for $32-$50 that also have a built in flashlight and double as a power bank. Maybe I buy one of these to keep in my car to make adjustments at the trail head and still keep the CO2 in my pack. Anyway nice work and thank you.
After 6 months of no use, like most lithium battery devices, the charge will drop a little bit, about 10%. So it will be fine. The key to this device is the size and the power. It's about 100 grams and it can inflate and mtb tire 4 times. The bigger devices are just ok, cheaper but not fast or portable. The real benefit to this device is checking and setting ones tire pressure to perfect levels before every ride. The guage and auto-shutoff are game changers for enthusiasts.
nice review Francis, do you reckon these pumps stand much chance of re-seating a plugged tubeless MTB tyre where the deflation from a puncture has caused the tyre to come off the bead? I had this experience recently and couldn't get the tyre (27.5 x 2.4) to re-seat with a hand-pump, ended up sticking a tube in it
It has a chance. It pushes half the volume as a floor pump so not great. But it can keep pumping for 2-3 minutes straight so one has a chance to move the bead around
Cyplus psi gauge isnt that accurate as topeak digital gauge is, it get presta valve super hot as well pn my 29x2.4” tire. I have the mid size air pump.
I've got the AS2 pro. The gauge is off a little from what my topeak shows, but it's consistent. Always 2psi low. I just add that and I'm good. It does get hot.
@porroco Topeak e-booster looks to have very similar speed and capacity. Topeak is quite a bit bigger and heavier though. And it's more expensive at $130 and not available in the US yet.

Do you know How well it works with the Fillmore valves and can you just press the valve on?
Yeah just press it on a Fillmore, no problem

@@EMTBReview Hey thanks! Yeah I might get one of these at some point. Thanks again for what you do!
Great review.
Glad you enjoyed it!

Shipping to Canada is 50 USD, thats insane!
Reeeeediculous. Try getting it from Amazon since the sell the As2 Pro
@@EMTBReview Great tip, much more reasonable from Amazon, thanks!
Once again I tried to buy it. As soon as I put in my address it states that delivery is unavailable to that address. Are you outside of the USA?
I just tried it and the AS2 Pro Max is not available in the USA at the moment. Got the same result as you but th AS2 Pro went through no problem.

@ yeah, i go over 30psi to ensure my 28/29 tire psi.
