Been a while since we did a same day reaction, but I missed it. New episodes are like showing up to a cool party. But this is one where your favorite friends broke up :(
I thought it was a great episode! It did not get tied up into a pretty bow and all was well again. Blitzø is going to have to fight hard to earn Stolas' trust again before even considering having a true romantic relationship with the man he truly loves and is afraid of loving because he does not want to get hurt. I was so hyped to catch the new ep only two hours after its release! Another great video, @CartoonUniverse!
In Stolas' current state of mind, it wouldn't have been able to mean anything. Both because he is drunk, but also because he seems currently unwilling to hear anything blitz has to say, as expecting it to just be more insults for no reason.
Verosika was the right person to tell that to because she has already moved on and he had nothing to gain by telling her. It meant he was actually sincere about it
Kind of makes sense, Verosika was up front with Blitz she wanted an actual relationship that Blitz intentionally ruined thus the fault is pretty much on him alone, while Stolaas originally started the relationship as simply a contract for sex, using Blitz aas his personal sex toy and only later decided to make it serious, withoutt even considering both how Blitz felt and how he didn't do a good job conveying that intent.

What destroyed me was that it basically meant that blitz had to try to let Stolas go knowing damn well he didn’t wanna do that and wanted to actually TRY to comfort him and get close to him
It killed me to see this too and I honestly loved the heart to heart he had with V but him walking away really helped him realize he's gotta work on himself and not have someone else there to do it for him.
They have to build their relationship back from nothing again, basically. Before, it wasn't really a relationship, or, at least, it wasn't one to Blitz. If he wants to get back and close to Stolas, he needs to keep that in mind going forward while making sure to properly apologize like he did with Verasika. Another thing to note, though, is that Stolas, at this point when he talked to him, was so shitfaced that he couldn't think or process anything properly anymore. Verasika, though, was a lot more respectable in this, though, with letting Blitz know just how severe his problems are and how his problems are causing hundreds of others to have worse problems. How since he refuses to currently be happy and with someone again, much less open up to them, he only then causes them pain and distress since they dont actually know what is wrong with him or them as to why he would dump them. Since he refuses to open up even about that. And immediately resorting to insults and slurs or sex to try and cope with whatever pain he is always hiding.
@bibby659 as drunk as Stolas was he was actually mature. When they went to go and talk, Stolas was shielding him so Blitzo won't get caught. And he could had made a seen and yelled at him like Blitzo did.
That was the right thing for them to do with this. Besides, people are acting like this is the permanent end of Stolas, but they are overlooking Verosika's line about "good for him" which at the end she says "He's gonna get laid" implying to me this is a one night stand or rebound, not the start to an actual relationship
They both honestly need some time off (fucking kills me inside omg). Blitz needs to work on himself and get a hold of his trauma-indulged behaviors so he won't stay like this forever. Breaking his positive outcomes when they show up at the door. Stolas needs some time to recover from the hurt this whole thing gave him. He needs time to get a hold of his own traumas aswell. So many things need to happen, but they need to be separated for a bit for both of them to grow.... as painful as it is 😭 I'm whining like a kid over this episode and over the fact we need to wait 3 months for what happens next 😔
Also that thing that Blitzø didn't tell Stolas about Striker's assassination attempt when they were at the festival in the wrath ring. Blitzø couldn't think that Striker would be a problem for a *prince*, but from Stolas' perspective it seemed like Blitzø doesn't care much about him and his well-being (especially considering that Blitzø did't visit him in the hospital after the incident)
Honestly, I was surprised because I thought the group did tell him in between stopping Striker and them leaving. I was very shocked to see that Stolas didn’t know about what happened. Edit: Now that I think about it, Stolas only said that he was being kidnapped by a cowboy. He never said, "The cowboy that tried to kill me at the Harvest kidnapped me" or something along those lines. Edit 2: rewatched it, and Stolas actually said “that cowboy friend of yours.” But my point still stands. Why didn’t they mention that Striker had tried to kill Stolas? I really thought they mentioned it offscreen.
and we know why he didn't visit him in the hospital after seeing everything that happened with Fizz. Or at least hearing from Blitzo that he was turned away. I imagine he feared being rejected again on some deep level
Which in fairness Stolas only invited Blitz and his team to shake up the monotony and possibly sleep with him... which is what happened back at Loo Loo Land. Stolas wanted Blitz there to flirt with and perhaps sex, Blitz was doing his job by shooting at potential threats. Only this time, the threat got away because Loona let him because she was dragging her butt to help. Blitz did his job yet Stolas is surprised that Blitz didn't tell him someone (his wife) was trying to kill him. When Stolas points out that as a Prince of Hell would want his cash and body ?
@@waves2378 Blitzo knew it was Striker because Moxxie told him (when he asks Stolas to describe the cowboy and he calls him sexy). Stolas had no idea Striker was an assassin because he never knew he was being targeted during the festival.
To be fair to Blitz Stolas upon his first encounter with Striker underestimated him…evident on how his realization that he was actually IN danger. Subconsciously Stolas is comfortable in his power difference between imps and him.
I think in the episode he’s starting to piece it together, but he’s never gonna be in the place where he can fully understand. He’s never been hurt by multiple people I mean yes he has people who have heard him, but he’s hurt more people than the amount of people that hurt him if that makes sense.

Yup. That’s why I don’t think this “destroyed” stolitz or anything. Blitz needs time to realize the consequences he made. And he needs time to face his own demons and cope with them. I’m glad they didn’t just make them get back together so soon. By knowing how long Blitz had been traumatized by his father , the class of imp, and all of other shitty stuffs, Blitz shouldn’t just *snap*, all problems solved, he’s mentally stable and good to go back with Stolas.
Interesting Stolas never answered Blitzo's question as to why he would want Blitzo. In fact, after Stolas' list about what he wants, where he never says he wants Blitzo, but that he just wants someone to want him, it felt more like Stolas is in love with the idea of love and would have fallen for anyone who showed him positive, romantic attention after his bad relationship with Stella; Blitzo just happened to be the first.
Technically Stolas did answer it, but sadly only in a way the audience would remember. Which I don't blame him for since he was clearly drunk. In the first episode in the season after Blitzo tied him up, Stolas gushed about how he'd never felt so genuinely wanted in his life and how happy it made him that the feeling came from his first friend. This episode he just expanded on that, but Blitzo isn't the type to pick up on it.
I mean he was clearly drunk off of his mind so i don't blame him for not answering Blitz directly. Plus Stolas fell in love with blitz back when they were kids.

I feel like there's so many layers to it I'm having a hard time separating which videos will dissect it from each angle. they are written like real people in that there are complexities to the way they feel in one moment to the next that feels just so amazing to explore.
@CartoonUniverse no doubt! If attachment theory being incorporated to these complex characters and their relationships was intentional by Vizie or not, there is a depth of understanding that holds weight in even the most subtle lines sometimes. It's impressive!
Nah this is like when the love interest dates another guy before dumping them at the season finale Sure, they will broken off for a season but then come back I don't like stolas x blitz, but you can see miles ahead of how vitzie writes her shows like a soap opera with a hell thematic
I feel this, especially as a man who likes women who also has several mental issues, I've felt as Blitzo does and how Stolas does. Blitzo with his belief that nobody can love him, and he hates himself more than anybody else does or ever could. Stolas with his crippling fear of not being enough for his partner, and the longing of being chased even just a little. Stolas' "I want be someone's someone" speech broke me. Blitzo's "I don't even know why you'd want to be with someone like me" destroyed me.

@@The_Practical_Daydreamer God doesn’t die. His angels have free will, but their actions come with consequences. Sometimes those actions result in damnation. Free will has its good and bad.
Could also indicate his new “bleeding heart”, facing the realization of everyone he’s hurt and just how BADLY he’s hurt them. To Blitz he may have thought all of his exes just moved on and never thought of him again. He’s never stopped to really think about the lingering damage he’s caused. It’s like Stolas sang, “I don’t think you meant to hurt me, because it may have not meant anything at all”. Blitz has just never thought of himself having genuine meaning in anyone’s lives up until this point.
@@RyuTama42 I took it as three things. It could have multiple meanings What star said What you said But I also see it as Verosika giving him his heart, or maybe her heart. Showing while not everything is all perfect yet, she is willing to help him improve or at least provide some support. Noticing how he was actually vulnerable and sincere.
And the metaphorical feeling of getting stabbed in the heart with the little fork, and feeling the pain you caused other people...Damn the different ways this can be interpreted.

But since he didn't eat the cake I thought of it as he will move on from stoles but healhis self worth and learn knowing that others can love him.
What Stolas ends up describing doesn't even seem like romance. What he really wants is family -- someone who will love and appreciate him being there, romantically or otherwise. Which, as I'm sure everyone has figured out by now, is also what Blitzo wants. He has a natural aversion to love, but he's also terrified of dying alone, something he thus far has only expressed to Loona. What I would hope is that Blitzo and Stolas will both eventually realize this and, while they are not necessarily in love, they do want to be there, for Loona and Octavia if not for each other.
What Stolas described was romance. He speaks about it and hints at it multiple times in the Season that he wants to be romantically involved with Blitz rather than simply being there for sex, but sure for one potentially misunderstood comment, we'll ignore all that.
Honestly, I really like the direction they're taking the story with this one. It honestly would've seemed very rushed and un-earned if Blitz and Stolas just got back together at the end of the episode. I personally like how they're possibly shifting the focus of the story to Blitz's self-improvement instead of him trying to be with Stolas. So far he recovered his friendship with Fizz and has gotten back onto speaking terms with Verosika, but still demonstrated that he still isn't quite there yet in terms of self improvment when he gets angry at seeing the incubus and Stolas kiss. Just because he says he wants to be better, doesn't mean that he automatically will be one. That kind of change takes dedication, effort, and time.
not to mention how OF course he's gonna be testy when blitzo essentially insults him and then just comes back and not only doesn't apologise but COMPLTELY ignores what stolas had told him by trying to make it all about sex AGAIN, proving stolas' point.
Did no one understand the lyrics Stolas sings in the latest episode? He understands that what he did to originally talk to Blitzo and start things was not the best, and that he still believes they could be a thing. It's Verosika after Blitzo apologizes to her that she tells him to understand the he needs to let Stolas go for the time being and to let him be happy.
Stolas throwing Loona's appointment in Blitzo's face was the worst thing Stolas could have said. Stolas was upset that Blitzo kept his daughter in his highest priorities, which Stolas does too.
Im glad they also addressed (briefly in the song) stolas acknowledging that he also fucked up the relationship by being so overtly sexual with Blitz, and ignoring him at Ozzies, and the other small things. I feel like a lot of people are forgetting that its not all Blitzs fault. When a relationship goes bad its not always just one persons fault. Im also glad Blitz got the wake up call that he needs to try and start fixing himself. I still think that they will end up together in the end, but it will take the rest of the season to build up to that.
As much as this episode tears down what's left of Blitz and Stolas's relationship, I believe it's going to clear the way, in time, for them to get back together for real in later seasons. As is, I expect Stolas is going to bow out of the show for a while, until we have to deal with the rest of the Goetia family.
Nah blitz has devastated my big bird so it's only he gets back with the super star verocica that understands him (also I just found out she voiced a character called ladybug)

@@elijahpage7687 I like them together, but I won't be upset if they don't end up together. Sometimes love doesn't work out. Sometimes love goes nowhere. That's ok. At the end of the day I just want Blitz and Stolas to be happy.
Even though I’m irked by Stolas just pushing all the blame onto Blitzø since both of them messed up, I was also annoyed by Blitzø’s behavior at this point. After Full Moon, he just tries to go back to the “normal routine” and act like nothing happened. And Stolas has made it clear he doesn’t want to see Blitzø, but he completely disregards what he is saying. I think seeing the hate party, seeing all the people he has hurt, seeing the scars he left behind, seeing all the consequences of his actions right in front of him, finally made it real for Blitzø.
Stolas was making me so mad! Blitzø was also being stupid but Stolas is at fault for making it just about sex, and always forgetting the power imbalance that is in their relationship.

@@_Dar_29 Yeah he made a joke to break the ice after seeing someone after 20 year, it was Blitzo that ended up seducing him after Stolas pulled away and said it was a joke and Stolas suggested the arrangement as a way for Blitzo to keep using the book HE STOLE AND WAS USING ILLEGALLY while satisfying his own needs in a way he thought both would enjoy since Blitzo if the one that fucked him in the first place. You can talk all you want about power imbalance but without the arrangement Stolas just takes the book back and Blitzo is out of a job anyway. Neither is perfect but people put WAY too much into the power imbalance of their past arrangement since it was something BOTH of them liked for a time until STOLAS saw it was toxic and ended it. A power imbalance isnt bad unless it becomes abusive and Blitzo doesnt think of himself as someone who was being abused since he actively enjoyed the transactional aspect of the relation since it gave him an emotional crutch to not deal with his feelings.
Something I found interesting is that Martha didn’t look all that different when she became a demon. I have a headcannon that the worse you are as a person in life the more you resemble yourself when you’re sent to hell which is why Mayberry looks quite different while people like Martha and (likely) Alastor look much the same as they did in life
Mrs. Mayberry ultimately doesn't look that different from her demon form either, though. She grew horns, changed colours, and if I remember correctly I think she got goat legs? But her face is otherwise the same, she didn't turn into a flying Vegas cat man or a one eyed gremlin like some other certain sinners. And Mrs. Mayberry was supposed to be perfect up until she snapped. I don't think there's meaning behind how much a sinner demon resembles their former self. I think it's that, sinners who we have seen the human forms of will resemble their earlier incarnations so we can easily identify them, while sinners who we haven't seen the human forms of and likely won't can look like anything, because we aren't going to see a human form to identify with. Basically, certain sinners (Martha, Mayberry) are based off their human designs, while others (Angel Dust, Sir Pentious) don't have known human forms to be based off of.
Something about this episode rubbed me the wrong way, and I'm still trying to articulate why. I agree with everything said in this video, and in fact this video made me like the episode more, but…I don't know, it feels almost…like a retcon? Like, it feels like it's going SO far out of its way to make Blitzø the bad guy - THE bad guy, as opposed to just a bad guy - and excuse Stolas's blunders by basically going "Well, even if Stolas hadn't fucked up so badly, Blitzø still would have ruined it, so it doesn't matter that Stolas has issues to deal with too, Blitzø is still THE problem." Stolas needs to work on himself too, and this episode kind of felt like it was sweeping that under the rug to focus on the work Blitzø needs to do - and yes, Blitzø DOES need to work on himself, and I'm glad he got a wake-up call, but I feel like Stolas's own issues are getting lost along the way.
I think Stolas is going to get a wake-up call at some point. He definitely has his share of issues. Maybe it would be the new "relationship" he has with the guy in this episode or maybe it's the shenanigans Andrealphus is planning. Something would kick start his reflection arc just like what the events of the last 2 episodes did for Blitz.
I don’t think they’ve forgotten about that. we don’t see Stolas’ issues because this episode is about Blitzo. Octavia has a line in the trailer that suggests Stolas will have his come to Jesus moment in the future.
This didn't destroy Stolitz. This build a new foundation for their relationship. It's just important how their will handle this development now (specially Blitzø). Hope it will end lovely for both of them (hopefully together). Fingers crossed 🤞 Btw, loved the new Episode ❤❤❤
Yeah, while there was a lot at hurt going around they also finally said very important things to each other and set down the foundations of anything they might want to build in the future
Same- it offered both the quirky-ness of the first episode by him just running around revisiting other episodes essentially while also providing perfect continuation of the story! Its the same way I felt as the last episode with Blitz running to s3x shops in lust. I feel like a campy fun episode between this one and the next would be good but I saw some people theorize Blitz gets possessed and honestly I'd love to see that too!
Shoot Martha and Mrs Mulberry moment caught me off guard and this episode was honestly well-written. 5:52 "oh man, that would definitely make the most sense!"
It's nice how Blitzø finally realizes that he needs to change and all, but I ain't letting Stolas off the hook yet. Man put MASSIVE pressure on Blitzø last episode and was hypocritical at times during it. My boy Blitzy ain't the only one that needs changing.

I read an embarrassingly amount of fan fiction. A pattern i appreciated is when a couple separates, they grow and mature separately, and they are both ready emotionally, the cone back together. That's the point way i think they will have a HEA. Im glad for the progress in this episode.
I noticed that when Stolas was asked to dance he looked at Blitz almost for permission. Idk what it is but it feels like there’s something meaningful there.
3:10 After hazbin and first scenes of this new episode where Stolas says that he was unaware of first asasination, my mind instanly got back to this scene with words "Stolas told him, that he didnt know". He's wife was like 2 meters away from him at best. Wtf
What I found really interesting is Verosika called him Blitz after their conversation at the end. Does this mean they might make up like Fizzarolli and Blitzø?
even if they dont thats ok. not everyones gonna be friends after. But Verosika strikes me as someone who finds it hard to open up which is why this betrayal hit extra hard. She probably hasnt dated since. She has a kind side wanting to help others hurt by him to have a healthy way to vent
I personally like how it focuses on a realistic scenario, apologizing isn’t going to fix everything immediately and some things simply can’t be fixed, but the possibility of improving yourself is always there- so it’s pretty obvious I’d say that they obviously wouldn’t magically make up after this episode. The realism is good! One of my favorite scenes in HB is forever now Blitzø and Verosika talking- i liked how Verosika admitted that she felt vulnerable and Blitz just left her, and how she still feels like a bad person for being angry at him. Again, the realism is very nice.
This episode was amazing. It seriously felt so realistic and down to earth that they genuinely feel like real people. This is how you write a well rounded character. Vivzipop is really improving in her writing and this is proof of that. Each new episode makes me wanting more and I can’t wait for what comes next. I am surprised at the teacher lady and the cannibal mother hooking up so that was a nice cameo. Love this show.
Honestly, I think that the last thing that Stolas and Blitzø need is a relationship. ESPECIALLY STOLAS SHOULD NOT BE LOOKING FOR A RELATIONSHIP. Even though Blitzø has done horrible things, Stolas has done awful things as well. Stolas doesn't know what romance is because he never experienced it. For all we know, the guy he dances with might want a one-night stand, but he wouldn't fall in love with him and be the prince he's been waiting for. I feel he's going off a fairytale of what he sees as love, but the romance and love are from books and TV. I feel like what will happen is Stolas is hopelessly going to look for a romantic relationship, and he will get disappointed when it's not like in his books and TV shows. I'm glad that Blitzø is getting his overdue wake-up call, but Stolas needs one ASAP, or he will hurt the people around him just like Blitzø.
That sums of some of my feelings about this as well. Blitz needed that wake up call but that doesn't mean Stolas isn't delusional about things either. Blitz was never going to be the solution to all of his other problems no matter what he did.

This episode cemented to me that these two should NOT be together cause all I’ve been seeing is endless miscommunication and personal issues and baggage that haven’t been sorted out yet (mainly Blitz for that one)

Besides that, it shows Asmodeous to be a hypocrite because he sees relationships and romantic things boring while lust, desires, and temptations are fun. Remember he and fizz interrupted Moxxie’s song about his relationship and sang his own song about lust?
Okay what annoyed me about this episode blitz much of a victim as stolas. Stolas did the whole arrangement once a month from blitz pov he only saw him higher up prince to an imp. How was he meant to know stolas liked him in ep8. I find it difficult when people play the victim card when they hurt you as well.
My prediction and fear is that the guy who dances with Stolas will try to kidnap him for some reason. and maybe Blitz, who is still sitting in the car after the party, will realize that the guy wasn't his ex and will try to save Stolas.
Now That is an interesting idea. I mean with so many ppl no way a single Hellhound is gonna filter everyone, if they're even doing that. Plus it actually allows Stolas to be saved by Blitz and not his employees.
Maybe the ghost episode with the shapeshifting dude is the "Ex" with stolas and is gonna bait him away to that motel/hotel in that episode? Since that is the next episode and still takes place on earth and seemingly right after or during Halloween, Idk though
I don't get that kidnappy vibe from the incubus. This guy had a Stolas tattoo on his upper left arm(look more closely at the incubus guy's arm) and he may have had a crush on Stolas for some time-possibly after word got around that Stolas was with Blitz but not in a creepy way like the creepy obesssed fan who was after Fizz but more of 'I wanna know more about the prince and show him a good time since he got dumped by blitz'. I feel like Stolas may end up dating this incubus for a while cause this guy clearly was interested in Stolas and not rushing into things like Blitz did. I feel that Blitz may open up his true feelings to Stolas someday but not anytime soon cause you could clearly see that Blitz did not want to ruin Stolas's happiness at the end of the episode.
I hope not. I hope it turns into a genuine relationship and Stolas learns what a real relationship is like, including the plethora of work he needs to do on himself. Even if it's not permanent, dude really needs that experience. Blitz needs to learn to like himself, if not ideally love himself. Then he can work on relationships too.
Me too. Realizing that Dennis (a random make out guy from Bee’s party) is here means that anyone Blitz affected is here, big or small. The guy dancing with Stolas looks like “Alejandro”, the guy who attempted to take advantage of a drunk, self destructing Blitz in the season 1 finale. And here he is hooking up with another inebriated partner who may or may not be able to give further consent. I just want Stolas to be safe and have a good time.
It really was a heartwrenching episode, but with the light comedy, callbacks, and simultaneously satisfying yet sad ending I loved it. I would also love to see a video on what you think versicas role will be moving forward and more speculation on what thier relationship was like now that we saw them interact way more.
Helluva Boss' last episode got me so into thinking about stuff. I ended up thinking about my whole life and how sad and boring it has been. Nice vid btw.
Finally the end of Stoliz....at least for now, but sad they didnt do more with Verosika and Barbie Wire as he should also apologize to her as well for his role in her loss of thier mother and career!
The beginning of the episode is pretty heartbreaking especially seeing Blitz and Stolas arguing. I still enjoyed it though, they may not be together yet but I'm sure Blitz will be able to change for the better. At least he tried to apologize to him and he is talking to Verosika and actually apologized to her as well.🥺💕
I think Blitz giving a legitimate apology to Verosika is probably my favorite part. More than anything else, THAT is what shows Blitz genuinely wants to get better, because he didn't even plan on doing that at first.
It seems like the theory about blitz being half succubus could be right, you cant make so many people fall in love with just your rizz, and all of them were deeply scarred by their relationship even taught most of them were just one time stance
Both sides are wrong and both of them need work but blitz isn't "the victim" here either-- if that's what you're implying. If anything, they're BOTH victims of their own trauma and destructive coping as well as of each others'. There is a more nuanced take on this than just "victim" and the person in the wrong.

As someone who struggles with understanding other people and interacting socially the last two episodes have been quite relatable. At the same time, the relatability is making me more and more invested in our dear demonic owl and flamboyant imp. Watching the downward spiral, as much as it is what they needed, is not doing great things for my emotional state.
You gotta break something down to build it back up. They both need space from each other so they can both heal and reflect. They’ll get back together when they’re ready.
this is exactly it. There is no choice but to end the situationship in order to build up to a proper relationship - that's the thing with a slow burn, the appeal of it is that the romance builds gradually - the tension is needed to fuel the fire and progress.
The stage has been set. Blitz is on the right track. If he’s gonna try and make anything work he’s gotta not only earn Stolas’ trust again, but also show that he does care and that he’s willing to whole heartedly apologize to him.
My honest opinion is that Vivziepop really wants us to feel sorry for Stolas and hate Blitz. Idk why, but I don't like the direction this show is heading to.
@Anarchy_Angel94 if I had to put a finger on people saying "ruined" ever since HB came out a contingent of fans wanted blizo to get over his flaws, make a giant romantic display for stolis, they get married, adopt each other's daughters so Loona and Octavia can be sisters (ignoring that the girls are 17 and 22), ironically the audience is as drowned in romantic tropes as stolis is.
I mean...what did Stolas expected? Blitz set a line at the start of all this...it was only business and that was it! he was told time and time again they were on this for the fun, giggles and the book and there wasnt anything else...and now he gets angry because the imp doesnt correspond his "love"? Rules were set, no one lied to anyone, no one tricked anyone, they knew what they were getting into and they bot AGREED on it..and now one of them gets angry because he "wanted more but the other is not ready or dont want that"? And everyone on that party...did they seriously thought what they had with Blitzo was "special"? as he said "sorry for not falling for you or anyone in this party" bet all pf them where just deals, stress reliefs, fun for the weekend...simple "all for the fun" and with how brutal honest he is they ALL knew what they were getting into...and now they get angry because he didnt love anyone of them?
I love this video and it is so refreshing to see such a grounded take on this situation and someone understanding the nuanced characterization of Stolas and Blitz. I found it so disheartening how many people were ready to go on a Stolas or Blitz hate train and always painting one of them as "the villain" in the relationship. They both have issues, they both have trauma and insecurities that interfere with their relationship. And A LOT of miscommunication. We are looking at two severly broken characters who crave love and affection, but have no idea how to healthily go about it and make it a reality. They both need to learn and grow and become healthier people. Neither Stolas nor Blitz are "villains" in this relationship.
I dont think it ruined the relationship. It started out as a deal and when Stolas tried telling him he has feelings Blitz pushed him away. The only other relationship Stolas had was abusive and neglectful on Stella's part. They only had a sexual relationship to produce the heir, and nothing after that. Some time apart may be whats needed. Blitzø also had some personal growth he needs to do, and being in a relationship won't allow him to do so at the pace he needed.
Kind of unrelated, but I love how these fan analysis videos always feature the self sonas of the TH-camrs in the show’s art style. For example, Steven Universe fans have their sonas be some kind of gems, talking about episodes. And you have some kind of Helluva Boss/Hazbin Hotel Sona , Talking about Vivzipop’s works. I think that is so cute.
I have to wonder if the writers of the show took psychology. There is a lot you said about their character development but quickly let's look at blitz. And then we'll talk about stolas. Blitz had a rough childhood, I mean only God knows everything he saw growing up. But it appears to be love it's a weakness, love is something that you cannot control and it will tether you to your partner unfortunately and fortunately if it works out good. This is why we always see him having me to have control or some type of power balancing when it comes to his relationships. This is why we have something as wild as a party going on in his honor of people he f***** over. And the worst thing is at the beginning of the episode you can tell he's not surprised by this, he's angered by this fact that this party is thrown. And this is something that we see when directly confronted by Stolas with him not wanting blitz there and more. We have to remember both of them had really f***** up ideas of what a relationship was and what it's supposed to represent. And let that be known that relationships are different they always are and each person has a different type of relationship that doesn't necessarily mean that it's going to always be good or healthy. This is why we see Stolas reading that book in the beginning, it's not that he's reading it because that's what he wants his perfect romance to be, it's more Saturday than that he's reading it so you can understand what a proper relationship should be like. He says something that you pointed out he wants to be someone somebody and that means that he wants someone to need him to want him the same way he wants them. He wants someone who well loves freely, the same way he freely wants to be able to be loved without any type of alternative motive. Blitz needs an objective motive for someone to like him He needs to know why they want him there. I would say he doesn't believe he is lovable and he believes love is weakness. And we know so many individuals like that, even one of my parents were like that and it was truly heartbreaking see. But it made sense when looking at their life, and I've seen that change over the years. So it is possible but it takes a hell of a long time, it takes a lot of self-healing as well and sometimes you have to find the right person who can be there for that. Yes some people are upset that Blitz had to watch Stolas making out with that random imp. But let's be honest the writers knew what they were doing with that scene. Cuz if we pay attention to how it happened we see him first look at the lonely crying person on the steps drinking their troubles away, then he looks at the two other ones being chaotic together and kissing wishfully. And then finally we see him look at Stolas enjoying himself without him. With other random stranger who is treating him better than he did in that moment. And let me be honest with you that's in a certain environment That's like a party where people are kissing and having fun for a small amount of time when there is no consequences. That whole environment is purely there for people to enjoy theirselves and let go of their worries we're not going to talk about what happens in the morning after. Which I'm pretty sure the next episode will cover since they're going by human psychology. The logic of heartbreak the logic of living in the fantasy for a bit. Cuz a rebound which if you have been through heartbreak you know exactly what's going on in that scene. You latch on to the first person to smile and make you feel good. You have a good time and enjoy yourself and then wake up the next morning and realize it didn't make you feel better😢 And don't get me wrong if you have a good person the morning after they might be really cool with it they might even be in the same predicament as you and both of you can help each other heal or you awkwardly wake up realize oh God should not have done that both laughing off and go your separate ways. It's awkward, and no matter how much you try to run for that broken relationship you got to close it eventually or fix it. Because it will haunt you, now personally I believe this will lead to a growing point Stolas because what happens when you have everything you wanted within that moment and you realize maybe it's not what you wanted it? Or maybe he will have a full relationship with this person and realize that there was a lot of stuff he was doing wrong as well as Blitz? And we might even get blitz finding someone who is more hell-fired than him. Typically what happens is most people in those situations run into someone who either opens their eyes so they can see how they are really or someone who can help them forwards in their journal pills so it's a lot of stuff that can happen here and I'm hoping with the path that we're seeing so far we get a lot of character development for both of these too in regards the growing up and learning the face their inter demons.
I hadn't thought of that at all, that Mrs. Mayberry sort of cheated on her husband with Martha before...and they're together in hell now...that's honestly genius...and if it is..that they can be together. Then Stolas and Blitz can do be together too, but..not for now i guess...
I doubt it. The first episode makes it painfully clear she was angry her husband cheated on her and that she hated Martha's guts for it. This is likely just done as a side gag since both are stuck in hell and can't die.
I'm just waiting for Stolas to get HIS reallity check. I just hope the writers don't drop the ball and try to blame everything on Blitz and just baby Stolas until the end.
I don't think Blitz is in the wrong with Stolas at all, actually. Day one Stolas uses his Authority, and power to essentially leash Blitz to him. There's even an episode where Stolas literally has Blitz on a gold chain. Anywhere else in the world, this kind of trade, or 'deal' would be considered coercion and considered very heavily as Sexual assault. He constantly belittles him, and gives him demeaning nicknames. Stolas has never interacted in a way with Blitz that says he actually cares about him. Stolas wants to *be* loved and romanced, but he doesn't give that at all. In fact he's both manipulative and controlling the entire time. As well as outright disrespectful. He essentially forced Blitz to serve him, so Blitz could do his job as IMP. We also know now Blitz has 2 people who "love" him. His father (and Stolas) who only ever abused and used him - and His Mother, Sister and Fizz, whom he was responsible in part for killing or ruining their lives. Blitz is both terrified the people who "love" him only do so to use him, and that those who genuinely love him, he will end up ruining their lives. So they are better off not loving him. He both mistrusts people who say they love him, but also wants to protect them from his seemingly horrible bad luck. This isn't justifying Blitz hurting people, especially Verosika, but it highlights just how fucked up he is because of his trauma, and how in his own way he's trying to protect people from him.

Very sad they focused on once again on Stoliz then the others like Verosika and no Barbie, though that Martha and Mayberry scene took me completely off guard!
Barbie clearly hates her brother and likely blames him for the death of their mother, the destruction of their family business, her own downward spiral that she looks like she is crawling out of, and maiming Fizz. But as Barb said she wants nothing to do with him and that likely includes joining in on this party of all his ex's hating on him.
Barbie and Verosika are side characters, and not even the same as the other I.M.P members, so it makes sense that they don't get as much screen time. The story seems mostly focused around Blitz and Stolas's relationship so it makes sense that they'd focus more on them instead of the side characters. The Martha hooking up with the teacher part was a funny little twist though, good for them lol
Stolitz is like the most popular thing in the whole series so of course it's gonna have more attention to it. Plus Verosika and Barbie are side characters so there are not gonna get as much attention.
I freaking loved every second of this episode! Even though Blitz's apologies to everyone her screwed over weren't entirely genuine, It was nice to at least see him making an effort to try and apologize to everyone especially to Stolas and Verosika. And they may not have forgiven him but at least it's a start to Blitz's journey on becoming a better person. And speaking of of the people that Blitz apologized to, It was so awesome to see Martha and Miss Mayberry again after all this time. Hell I was even excited to see that they had apparently become an item, I mean I can remember some people shipping them and now it's canon! Anyway I instantly loved the new songs in this episode, Especially the one with Stolas, Verosika and Vortex. A duet between Stolas and Verosika was what I was hoping for and even though Verosika mostly did backup vocals and Vortex was there but it's the closest thing to a duet as we'll ever get. And when I saw the ending of the episode, While I could understand Blitz being jealous about Stolas dancing and being kissed by that other guy. Blitz just needs to accept that if he wants Stolas back he needs to earn it, And the first step to doing that will be for Blitz to clean up his act.
I’m actually so happy about how the episode turned out!! Verosika has been featured so many times showing her immense hatred for him so I loved the sensitive and eye opening conversation between them. and I’m thinking in newer episodes we’re going to see blitz and stolas get together. it’s so clear blitz is super emotional, sensitive and actually cares but struggles with self worry and puts up a front. I’m thinking this is setting up for us to see blitz take accountability for his actions and acknowledge that he does want stolas and stolas is going move on and try new things but realize that blitz is the one for him.
Out of all of this episode I legit hated the fact that Blitz screwed with more people than i was expecting Really hope Blitz can make uo with all of them because this legit pisses me off that not even one person tries to ask blitz whats wrong and why cant he keep a relationship

From my observation, Blitzø is scared. Not of commitment, not of having a relationship, but of losing the person he cares about… forever. My guess is, ever since the fire that destroyed his family’s circus and killed his mom, Blitzø feels like if someone gets too close, relationship-wise, then something will happen that’ll morally wound them or kill them. And, whether it’s an accident or not, he will feel responsible. So he does the only thing that’ll keep them safe and sabotage his relationships. This is why he suddenly became concerned when Stolas was injured. What he saw as an immortal being and who could survive being around Blizø, suddenly brought that fear back. That if Stolas wanted to be romantically involved with Blizø, now there was a chance that he could loose him forever, and Blizø would blame himself. But that’s just my take.
I honestly didn't catch who Martha was until I saw the familiar sinner in the background. When I connected the dots, I laughed SOOO hard!!! I'm also disappointed in how it ended, but I also agree what this was the best decision they could've made for Blitz and Stolas's relationship.
One thing some people missed was that throughout the episode blitzo was trying to apologise to stolas and apology tour wasnt a few days after but just the day after the full moon episode cuz in one of the texts that blitzo was going to send but ended up changing his mind was “srri 4 last night” which means blitzo didnt even let stolas or himself get some time to think of what they could do and hence why stolas was still in a bad mood after the full moon episode
Blitz was the one who made out with other people DURING the arrangement, so for him to get so upset at the incubus for simply just dancing with Stolas AFTER the breakup is insane, but also very telling about Stolas & Blitz's characters. Man I love apology tour so much oml
5:50 I think what happened probably is they had their differences sorted out and possibly came to the realization they were both played by the same man and bonded and soon started being together. Enemies to lovers if you will
I think/want the reason Martha and Mulberry are together is that they went for a violent approach with each other trying to kill the other and during the fights because they are sinners/immortals they opened up to why they did what they did on earth. Eventually realising how bad they were and what they wanted the other had/can give. A wholesome ending to a messed up start.
You know, for as much as I do root for them, there's a part of me now who kind of also wants them not to work out...Like, yes you can love someone, yes you can do all you can to better yourself for a partner, but like real life some times it just doesn't or even can't work no matter how hard you try-- and imo it feels more impactful of a message for relationships to be 'sometimes things don't work out, and that's okay.' I feel like that's a healthier message to spread then 'oh just keep trying and this messy relationship will (probably) work out.

I really wasn't expecting Blitzøs line about wanting to change to be said to verosika instead of Stolas
In Stolas' current state of mind, it wouldn't have been able to mean anything. Both because he is drunk, but also because he seems currently unwilling to hear anything blitz has to say, as expecting it to just be more insults for no reason.
Verosika was the right person to tell that to because she has already moved on and he had nothing to gain by telling her. It meant he was actually sincere about it
Kind of makes sense, Verosika was up front with Blitz she wanted an actual relationship that Blitz intentionally ruined thus the fault is pretty much on him alone, while Stolaas originally started the relationship as simply a contract for sex, using Blitz aas his personal sex toy and only later decided to make it serious, withoutt even considering both how Blitz felt and how he didn't do a good job conveying that intent.
Don’t lose hope stolitz fans blitz x stolas will get back together at the end of season 2

What destroyed me was that it basically meant that blitz had to try to let Stolas go knowing damn well he didn’t wanna do that and wanted to actually TRY to comfort him and get close to him
It killed me to see this too and I honestly loved the heart to heart he had with V but him walking away really helped him realize he's gotta work on himself and not have someone else there to do it for him.
They have to build their relationship back from nothing again, basically. Before, it wasn't really a relationship, or, at least, it wasn't one to Blitz. If he wants to get back and close to Stolas, he needs to keep that in mind going forward while making sure to properly apologize like he did with Verasika.
Another thing to note, though, is that Stolas, at this point when he talked to him, was so shitfaced that he couldn't think or process anything properly anymore. Verasika, though, was a lot more respectable in this, though, with letting Blitz know just how severe his problems are and how his problems are causing hundreds of others to have worse problems. How since he refuses to currently be happy and with someone again, much less open up to them, he only then causes them pain and distress since they dont actually know what is wrong with him or them as to why he would dump them. Since he refuses to open up even about that. And immediately resorting to insults and slurs or sex to try and cope with whatever pain he is always hiding.
@bibby659 as drunk as Stolas was he was actually mature. When they went to go and talk, Stolas was shielding him so Blitzo won't get caught. And he could had made a seen and yelled at him like Blitzo did.
That was the right thing for them to do with this. Besides, people are acting like this is the permanent end of Stolas, but they are overlooking Verosika's line about "good for him" which at the end she says "He's gonna get laid" implying to me this is a one night stand or rebound, not the start to an actual relationship
They both honestly need some time off (fucking kills me inside omg). Blitz needs to work on himself and get a hold of his trauma-indulged behaviors so he won't stay like this forever. Breaking his positive outcomes when they show up at the door. Stolas needs some time to recover from the hurt this whole thing gave him. He needs time to get a hold of his own traumas aswell. So many things need to happen, but they need to be separated for a bit for both of them to grow.... as painful as it is 😭

Also that thing that Blitzø didn't tell Stolas about Striker's assassination attempt when they were at the festival in the wrath ring. Blitzø couldn't think that Striker would be a problem for a *prince*, but from Stolas' perspective it seemed like Blitzø doesn't care much about him and his well-being (especially considering that Blitzø did't visit him in the hospital after the incident)
Honestly, I was surprised because I thought the group did tell him in between stopping Striker and them leaving. I was very shocked to see that Stolas didn’t know about what happened.
Edit: Now that I think about it, Stolas only said that he was being kidnapped by a cowboy. He never said, "The cowboy that tried to kill me at the Harvest kidnapped me" or something along those lines.
Edit 2: rewatched it, and Stolas actually said “that cowboy friend of yours.” But my point still stands. Why didn’t they mention that Striker had tried to kill Stolas? I really thought they mentioned it offscreen.
and we know why he didn't visit him in the hospital after seeing everything that happened with Fizz. Or at least hearing from Blitzo that he was turned away. I imagine he feared being rejected again on some deep level
Which in fairness Stolas only invited Blitz and his team to shake up the monotony and possibly sleep with him... which is what happened back at Loo Loo Land.
Stolas wanted Blitz there to flirt with and perhaps sex, Blitz was doing his job by shooting at potential threats. Only this time, the threat got away because Loona let him because she was dragging her butt to help.
Blitz did his job yet Stolas is surprised that Blitz didn't tell him someone (his wife) was trying to kill him. When Stolas points out that as a Prince of Hell would want his cash and body ?
@@waves2378 Blitzo knew it was Striker because Moxxie told him (when he asks Stolas to describe the cowboy and he calls him sexy). Stolas had no idea Striker was an assassin because he never knew he was being targeted during the festival.
To be fair to Blitz Stolas upon his first encounter with Striker underestimated him…evident on how his realization that he was actually IN danger. Subconsciously Stolas is comfortable in his power difference between imps and him.
This was the wake up Blitz desperately needed. He now realizes how many people he's hurt and how badly he's done it.
I think in the episode he’s starting to piece it together, but he’s never gonna be in the place where he can fully understand. He’s never been hurt by multiple people I mean yes he has people who have heard him, but he’s hurt more people than the amount of people that hurt him if that makes sense.

Yup. That’s why I don’t think this “destroyed” stolitz or anything. Blitz needs time to realize the consequences he made. And he needs time to face his own demons and cope with them. I’m glad they didn’t just make them get back together so soon. By knowing how long Blitz had been traumatized by his father , the class of imp, and all of other shitty stuffs, Blitz shouldn’t just *snap*, all problems solved, he’s mentally stable and good to go back with Stolas.

Interesting Stolas never answered Blitzo's question as to why he would want Blitzo. In fact, after Stolas' list about what he wants, where he never says he wants Blitzo, but that he just wants someone to want him, it felt more like Stolas is in love with the idea of love and would have fallen for anyone who showed him positive, romantic attention after his bad relationship with Stella; Blitzo just happened to be the first.

In the first episode in the season after Blitzo tied him up, Stolas gushed about how he'd never felt so genuinely wanted in his life and how happy it made him that the feeling came from his first friend. This episode he just expanded on that, but Blitzo isn't the type to pick up on it.
I mean he was clearly drunk off of his mind so i don't blame him for not answering Blitz directly. Plus Stolas fell in love with blitz back when they were kids.

I feel like there's so many layers to it I'm having a hard time separating which videos will dissect it from each angle. they are written like real people in that there are complexities to the way they feel in one moment to the next that feels just so amazing to explore.
@CartoonUniverse no doubt! If attachment theory being incorporated to these complex characters and their relationships was intentional by Vizie or not, there is a depth of understanding that holds weight in even the most subtle lines sometimes. It's impressive!

I feel this, especially as a man who likes women who also has several mental issues, I've felt as Blitzo does and how Stolas does.
Blitzo with his belief that nobody can love him, and he hates himself more than anybody else does or ever could.
Stolas with his crippling fear of not being enough for his partner, and the longing of being chased even just a little.
Stolas' "I want be someone's someone" speech broke me. Blitzo's "I don't even know why you'd want to be with someone like me" destroyed me.

Who else noticed the heart cake? She wanted him to eat his heart out, but he doesn't and looks at all the demons he's wronged.
Could also indicate his new “bleeding heart”, facing the realization of everyone he’s hurt and just how BADLY he’s hurt them. To Blitz he may have thought all of his exes just moved on and never thought of him again. He’s never stopped to really think about the lingering damage he’s caused. It’s like Stolas sang, “I don’t think you meant to hurt me, because it may have not meant anything at all”. Blitz has just never thought of himself having genuine meaning in anyone’s lives up until this point.

What Stolas ends up describing doesn't even seem like romance. What he really wants is family -- someone who will love and appreciate him being there, romantically or otherwise.
Which, as I'm sure everyone has figured out by now, is also what Blitzo wants. He has a natural aversion to love, but he's also terrified of dying alone, something he thus far has only expressed to Loona.
What I would hope is that Blitzo and Stolas will both eventually realize this and, while they are not necessarily in love, they do want to be there, for Loona and Octavia if not for each other.
It makes me think that they'll end up being close friends instead of being in a relationship.
What Stolas described was romance. He speaks about it and hints at it multiple times in the Season that he wants to be romantically involved with Blitz rather than simply being there for sex, but sure for one potentially misunderstood comment, we'll ignore all that.

Honestly, I really like the direction they're taking the story with this one. It honestly would've seemed very rushed and un-earned if Blitz and Stolas just got back together at the end of the episode. I personally like how they're possibly shifting the focus of the story to Blitz's self-improvement instead of him trying to be with Stolas. So far he recovered his friendship with Fizz and has gotten back onto speaking terms with Verosika, but still demonstrated that he still isn't quite there yet in terms of self improvment when he gets angry at seeing the incubus and Stolas kiss. Just because he says he wants to be better, doesn't mean that he automatically will be one. That kind of change takes dedication, effort, and time.

It wasn’t a few days after, it picked up the next morning, so it makes sense that Stolas hasn’t really had time to process the night before yet.
not to mention how OF course he's gonna be testy when blitzo essentially insults him and then just comes back and not only doesn't apologise but COMPLTELY ignores what stolas had told him by trying to make it all about sex AGAIN, proving stolas' point.
Did no one understand the lyrics Stolas sings in the latest episode? He understands that what he did to originally talk to Blitzo and start things was not the best, and that he still believes they could be a thing. It's Verosika after Blitzo apologizes to her that she tells him to understand the he needs to let Stolas go for the time being and to let him be happy.
Stolas throwing Loona's appointment in Blitzo's face was the worst thing Stolas could have said. Stolas was upset that Blitzo kept his daughter in his highest priorities, which Stolas does too.
Im glad they also addressed (briefly in the song) stolas acknowledging that he also fucked up the relationship by being so overtly sexual with Blitz, and ignoring him at Ozzies, and the other small things. I feel like a lot of people are forgetting that its not all Blitzs fault. When a relationship goes bad its not always just one persons fault. Im also glad Blitz got the wake up call that he needs to try and start fixing himself. I still think that they will end up together in the end, but it will take the rest of the season to build up to that.

As much as this episode tears down what's left of Blitz and Stolas's relationship, I believe it's going to clear the way, in time, for them to get back together for real in later seasons. As is, I expect Stolas is going to bow out of the show for a while, until we have to deal with the rest of the Goetia family.

Even though I’m irked by Stolas just pushing all the blame onto Blitzø since both of them messed up, I was also annoyed by Blitzø’s behavior at this point.
After Full Moon, he just tries to go back to the “normal routine” and act like nothing happened. And Stolas has made it clear he doesn’t want to see Blitzø, but he completely disregards what he is saying.
I think seeing the hate party, seeing all the people he has hurt, seeing the scars he left behind, seeing all the consequences of his actions right in front of him, finally made it real for Blitzø.
Stolas was making me so mad! Blitzø was also being stupid but Stolas is at fault for making it just about sex, and always forgetting the power imbalance that is in their relationship.

@@_Dar_29 Yeah he made a joke to break the ice after seeing someone after 20 year, it was Blitzo that ended up seducing him after Stolas pulled away and said it was a joke and Stolas suggested the arrangement as a way for Blitzo to keep using the book HE STOLE AND WAS USING ILLEGALLY while satisfying his own needs in a way he thought both would enjoy since Blitzo if the one that fucked him in the first place. You can talk all you want about power imbalance but without the arrangement Stolas just takes the book back and Blitzo is out of a job anyway. Neither is perfect but people put WAY too much into the power imbalance of their past arrangement since it was something BOTH of them liked for a time until STOLAS saw it was toxic and ended it. A power imbalance isnt bad unless it becomes abusive and Blitzo doesnt think of himself as someone who was being abused since he actively enjoyed the transactional aspect of the relation since it gave him an emotional crutch to not deal with his feelings.
Something I found interesting is that Martha didn’t look all that different when she became a demon. I have a headcannon that the worse you are as a person in life the more you resemble yourself when you’re sent to hell which is why Mayberry looks quite different while people like Martha and (likely) Alastor look much the same as they did in life

Mrs. Mayberry ultimately doesn't look that different from her demon form either, though. She grew horns, changed colours, and if I remember correctly I think she got goat legs? But her face is otherwise the same, she didn't turn into a flying Vegas cat man or a one eyed gremlin like some other certain sinners. And Mrs. Mayberry was supposed to be perfect up until she snapped.
I don't think there's meaning behind how much a sinner demon resembles their former self. I think it's that, sinners who we have seen the human forms of will resemble their earlier incarnations so we can easily identify them, while sinners who we haven't seen the human forms of and likely won't can look like anything, because we aren't going to see a human form to identify with.
Basically, certain sinners (Martha, Mayberry) are based off their human designs, while others (Angel Dust, Sir Pentious) don't have known human forms to be based off of.

Something about this episode rubbed me the wrong way, and I'm still trying to articulate why. I agree with everything said in this video, and in fact this video made me like the episode more, but…I don't know, it feels almost…like a retcon? Like, it feels like it's going SO far out of its way to make Blitzø the bad guy - THE bad guy, as opposed to just a bad guy - and excuse Stolas's blunders by basically going "Well, even if Stolas hadn't fucked up so badly, Blitzø still would have ruined it, so it doesn't matter that Stolas has issues to deal with too, Blitzø is still THE problem." Stolas needs to work on himself too, and this episode kind of felt like it was sweeping that under the rug to focus on the work Blitzø needs to do - and yes, Blitzø DOES need to work on himself, and I'm glad he got a wake-up call, but I feel like Stolas's own issues are getting lost along the way.
I think Stolas is going to get a wake-up call at some point. He definitely has his share of issues. Maybe it would be the new "relationship" he has with the guy in this episode or maybe it's the shenanigans Andrealphus is planning. Something would kick start his reflection arc just like what the events of the last 2 episodes did for Blitz.
I don’t think they’ve forgotten about that. we don’t see Stolas’ issues because this episode is about Blitzo. Octavia has a line in the trailer that suggests Stolas will have his come to Jesus moment in the future.
This didn't destroy Stolitz. This build a new foundation for their relationship.
It's just important how their will handle this development now (specially Blitzø).

Same- it offered both the quirky-ness of the first episode by him just running around revisiting other episodes essentially while also providing perfect continuation of the story! Its the same way I felt as the last episode with Blitz running to s3x shops in lust. I feel like a campy fun episode between this one and the next would be good but I saw some people theorize Blitz gets possessed and honestly I'd love to see that too!

I read an embarrassingly amount of fan fiction. A pattern i appreciated is when a couple separates, they grow and mature separately, and they are both ready emotionally, the cone back together. That's the point way i think they will have a HEA. Im glad for the progress in this episode.

My only complaint about this episode is that it seems to absolve Stolas for his missteps in their relationship and throws all of the blame on Blitzo.
I personally like how it focuses on a realistic scenario, apologizing isn’t going to fix everything immediately and some things simply can’t be fixed, but the possibility of improving yourself is always there- so it’s pretty obvious I’d say that they obviously wouldn’t magically make up after this episode.

One of my favorite scenes in HB is forever now Blitzø and Verosika talking- i liked how Verosika admitted that she felt vulnerable and Blitz just left her, and how she still feels like a bad person for being angry at him. Again, the realism is very nice.
This episode was amazing. It seriously felt so realistic and down to earth that they genuinely feel like real people. This is how you write a well rounded character. Vivzipop is really improving in her writing and this is proof of that. Each new episode makes me wanting more and I can’t wait for what comes next. I am surprised at the teacher lady and the cannibal mother hooking up so that was a nice cameo. Love this show.
Honestly, I think that the last thing that Stolas and Blitzø need is a relationship. ESPECIALLY STOLAS SHOULD NOT BE LOOKING FOR A RELATIONSHIP. Even though Blitzø has done horrible things, Stolas has done awful things as well. Stolas doesn't know what romance is because he never experienced it. For all we know, the guy he dances with might want a one-night stand, but he wouldn't fall in love with him and be the prince he's been waiting for. I feel he's going off a fairytale of what he sees as love, but the romance and love are from books and TV. I feel like what will happen is Stolas is hopelessly going to look for a romantic relationship, and he will get disappointed when it's not like in his books and TV shows. I'm glad that Blitzø is getting his overdue wake-up call, but Stolas needs one ASAP, or he will hurt the people around him just like Blitzø.
It might be for the best Blitz and Stolas to be no more than friends.
That sums of some of my feelings about this as well. Blitz needed that wake up call but that doesn't mean Stolas isn't delusional about things either. Blitz was never going to be the solution to all of his other problems no matter what he did.

Okay what annoyed me about this episode blitz much of a victim as stolas. Stolas did the whole arrangement once a month from blitz pov he only saw him higher up prince to an imp. How was he meant to know stolas liked him in ep8. I find it difficult when people play the victim card when they hurt you as well.
My prediction and fear is that the guy who dances with Stolas will try to kidnap him for some reason. and maybe Blitz, who is still sitting in the car after the party, will realize that the guy wasn't his ex and will try to save Stolas.
Now That is an interesting idea. I mean with so many ppl no way a single Hellhound is gonna filter everyone, if they're even doing that. Plus it actually allows Stolas to be saved by Blitz and not his employees.
Maybe the ghost episode with the shapeshifting dude is the "Ex" with stolas and is gonna bait him away to that motel/hotel in that episode? Since that is the next episode and still takes place on earth and seemingly right after or during Halloween, Idk though
I don't get that kidnappy vibe from the incubus. This guy had a Stolas tattoo on his upper left arm(look more closely at the incubus guy's arm) and he may have had a crush on Stolas for some time-possibly after word got around that Stolas was with Blitz but not in a creepy way like the creepy obesssed fan who was after Fizz but more of 'I wanna know more about the prince and show him a good time since he got dumped by blitz'. I feel like Stolas may end up dating this incubus for a while cause this guy clearly was interested in Stolas and not rushing into things like Blitz did. I feel that Blitz may open up his true feelings to Stolas someday but not anytime soon cause you could clearly see that Blitz did not want to ruin Stolas's happiness at the end of the episode.
I hope not. I hope it turns into a genuine relationship and Stolas learns what a real relationship is like, including the plethora of work he needs to do on himself. Even if it's not permanent, dude really needs that experience.

Me too. Realizing that Dennis (a random make out guy from Bee’s party) is here means that anyone Blitz affected is here, big or small. The guy dancing with Stolas looks like “Alejandro”, the guy who attempted to take advantage of a drunk, self destructing Blitz in the season 1 finale. And here he is hooking up with another inebriated partner who may or may not be able to give further consent. I just want Stolas to be safe and have a good time.
It really was a heartwrenching episode, but with the light comedy, callbacks, and simultaneously satisfying yet sad ending I loved it. I would also love to see a video on what you think versicas role will be moving forward and more speculation on what thier relationship was like now that we saw them interact way more.
Helluva Boss' last episode got me so into thinking about stuff. I ended up thinking about my whole life and how sad and boring it has been.

I still enjoyed it though, they may not be together yet but I'm sure Blitz will be able to change for the better. As someone who struggles with understanding other people and interacting socially the last two episodes have been quite relatable. At the same time, the relatability is making me more and more invested in our dear demonic owl and flamboyant imp. Watching the downward spiral, as much as it is what they needed, is not doing great things for my emotional state.
You gotta break something down to build it back up. They both need space from each other so they can both heal and reflect. They’ll get back together when they’re ready.
this is exactly it. There is no choice but to end the situationship in order to build up to a proper relationship - that's the thing with a slow burn, the appeal of it is that the romance builds gradually - the tension is needed to fuel the fire and progress.

I love this video and it is so refreshing to see such a grounded take on this situation and someone understanding the nuanced characterization of Stolas and Blitz. I found it so disheartening how many people were ready to go on a Stolas or Blitz hate train and always painting one of them as "the villain" in the relationship.
They both have issues, they both have trauma and insecurities that interfere with their relationship. And A LOT of miscommunication.
We are looking at two severly broken characters who crave love and affection, but have no idea how to healthily go about it and make it a reality. They both need to learn and grow and become healthier people.
Neither Stolas nor Blitz are "villains" in this relationship.

I dont think it ruined the relationship. It started out as a deal and when Stolas tried telling him he has feelings Blitz pushed him away. The only other relationship Stolas had was abusive and neglectful on Stella's part. They only had a sexual relationship to produce the heir, and nothing after that. Some time apart may be whats needed. Blitzø also had some personal growth he needs to do, and being in a relationship won't allow him to do so at the pace he needed.
Kind of unrelated, but I love how these fan analysis videos always feature the self sonas of the TH-camrs in the show’s art style.
For example, Steven Universe fans have their sonas be some kind of gems, talking about episodes.
And you have some kind of Helluva Boss/Hazbin Hotel Sona , Talking about Vivzipop’s works.
I think that is so cute.
I have to wonder if the writers of the show took psychology. There is a lot you said about their character development but quickly let's look at blitz. And then we'll talk about stolas.
Blitz had a rough childhood, I mean only God knows everything he saw growing up. But it appears to be love it's a weakness, love is something that you cannot control and it will tether you to your partner unfortunately and fortunately if it works out good. This is why we always see him having me to have control or some type of power balancing when it comes to his relationships. This is why we have something as wild as a party going on in his honor of people he f***** over. And the worst thing is at the beginning of the episode you can tell he's not surprised by this, he's angered by this fact that this party is thrown.
And this is something that we see when directly confronted by Stolas with him not wanting blitz there and more. We have to remember both of them had really f***** up ideas of what a relationship was and what it's supposed to represent. And let that be known that relationships are different they always are and each person has a different type of relationship that doesn't necessarily mean that it's going to always be good or healthy. This is why we see Stolas reading that book in the beginning, it's not that he's reading it because that's what he wants his perfect romance to be, it's more Saturday than that he's reading it so you can understand what a proper relationship should be like. He says something that you pointed out he wants to be someone somebody and that means that he wants someone to need him to want him the same way he wants them. He wants someone who well loves freely, the same way he freely wants to be able to be loved without any type of alternative motive. Blitz needs an objective motive for someone to like him He needs to know why they want him there. I would say he doesn't believe he is lovable and he believes love is weakness. And we know so many individuals like that, even one of my parents were like that and it was truly heartbreaking see. But it made sense when looking at their life, and I've seen that change over the years. So it is possible but it takes a hell of a long time, it takes a lot of self-healing as well and sometimes you have to find the right person who can be there for that.
Yes some people are upset that Blitz had to watch Stolas making out with that random imp. But let's be honest the writers knew what they were doing with that scene. Cuz if we pay attention to how it happened we see him first look at the lonely crying person on the steps drinking their troubles away, then he looks at the two other ones being chaotic together and kissing wishfully. And then finally we see him look at Stolas enjoying himself without him. With other random stranger who is treating him better than he did in that moment. And let me be honest with you that's in a certain environment That's like a party where people are kissing and having fun for a small amount of time when there is no consequences. That whole environment is purely there for people to enjoy theirselves and let go of their worries we're not going to talk about what happens in the morning after. Which I'm pretty sure the next episode will cover since they're going by human psychology. The logic of heartbreak the logic of living in the fantasy for a bit. Cuz a rebound which if you have been through heartbreak you know exactly what's going on in that scene. You latch on to the first person to smile and make you feel good. You have a good time and enjoy yourself and then wake up the next morning and realize it didn't make you feel better😢
And don't get me wrong if you have a good person the morning after they might be really cool with it they might even be in the same predicament as you and both of you can help each other heal or you awkwardly wake up realize oh God should not have done that both laughing off and go your separate ways.
It's awkward, and no matter how much you try to run for that broken relationship you got to close it eventually or fix it. Because it will haunt you, now personally I believe this will lead to a growing point Stolas because what happens when you have everything you wanted within that moment and you realize maybe it's not what you wanted it? Or maybe he will have a full relationship with this person and realize that there was a lot of stuff he was doing wrong as well as Blitz? And we might even get blitz finding someone who is more hell-fired than him. Typically what happens is most people in those situations run into someone who either opens their eyes so they can see how they are really or someone who can help them forwards in their journal pills so it's a lot of stuff that can happen here and I'm hoping with the path that we're seeing so far we get a lot of character development for both of these too in regards the growing up and learning the face their
inter demons.
I hadn't thought of that at all, that Mrs. Mayberry sort of cheated on her husband with Martha before...and they're together in hell now...that's honestly genius...and if it is..that they can be together. Then Stolas and Blitz can do be together too, but..not for now i guess...

I doubt it. The first episode makes it painfully clear she was angry her husband cheated on her and that she hated Martha's guts for it. This is likely just done as a side gag since both are stuck in hell and can't die.
I don't think they were together "before". But they're definitely together now.
I'm just waiting for Stolas to get HIS reallity check. I just hope the writers don't drop the ball and try to blame everything on Blitz and just baby Stolas until the end.
Blitz gave me "You don't know what you've got til it's gone" and honestly, good for him. It'll do for great character development
I don't think Blitz is in the wrong with Stolas at all, actually.
Day one Stolas uses his Authority, and power to essentially leash Blitz to him. There's even an episode where Stolas literally has Blitz on a gold chain.
Anywhere else in the world, this kind of trade, or 'deal' would be considered coercion and considered very heavily as Sexual assault. He constantly belittles him, and gives him demeaning nicknames. Stolas has never interacted in a way with Blitz that says he actually cares about him.
Stolas wants to *be* loved and romanced, but he doesn't give that at all. In fact he's both manipulative and controlling the entire time. As well as outright disrespectful.
He essentially forced Blitz to serve him, so Blitz could do his job as IMP.
We also know now Blitz has 2 people who "love" him. His father (and Stolas) who only ever abused and used him - and His Mother, Sister and Fizz, whom he was responsible in part for killing or ruining their lives.
Blitz is both terrified the people who "love" him only do so to use him, and that those who genuinely love him, he will end up ruining their lives. So they are better off not loving him.
He both mistrusts people who say they love him, but also wants to protect them from his seemingly horrible bad luck.
This isn't justifying Blitz hurting people, especially Verosika, but it highlights just how fucked up he is because of his trauma, and how in his own way he's trying to protect people from him.

Very sad they focused on once again on Stoliz then the others like Verosika and no Barbie, though that Martha and Mayberry scene took me completely off guard!
Barbie clearly hates her brother and likely blames him for the death of their mother, the destruction of their family business, her own downward spiral that she looks like she is crawling out of, and maiming Fizz. But as Barb said she wants nothing to do with him and that likely includes joining in on this party of all his ex's hating on him.
Barbie and Verosika are side characters, and not even the same as the other I.M.P members, so it makes sense that they don't get as much screen time. The story seems mostly focused around Blitz and Stolas's relationship so it makes sense that they'd focus more on them instead of the side characters. The Martha hooking up with the teacher part was a funny little twist though, good for them lol

Stolitz is like the most popular thing in the whole series so of course it's gonna have more attention to it. Plus Verosika and Barbie are side characters so there are not gonna get as much attention.
The episode has several references to the fact that it’s the next day after Full Moon.
I freaking loved every second of this episode!
Even though Blitz's apologies to everyone her screwed over weren't entirely genuine, It was nice to at least see him making an effort to try and apologize to everyone especially to Stolas and Verosika. And they may not have forgiven him but at least it's a start to Blitz's journey on becoming a better person.
And speaking of of the people that Blitz apologized to, It was so awesome to see Martha and Miss Mayberry again after all this time. Hell I was even excited to see that they had apparently become an item, I mean I can remember some people shipping them and now it's canon!
Anyway I instantly loved the new songs in this episode, Especially the one with Stolas, Verosika and Vortex. A duet between Stolas and Verosika was what I was hoping for and even though Verosika mostly did backup vocals and Vortex was there but it's the closest thing to a duet as we'll ever get.
And when I saw the ending of the episode, While I could understand Blitz being jealous about Stolas dancing and being kissed by that other guy. Blitz just needs to accept that if he wants Stolas back he needs to earn it, And the first step to doing that will be for Blitz to clean up his act.
I’m actually so happy about how the episode turned out!! Verosika has been featured so many times showing her immense hatred for him so I loved the sensitive and eye opening conversation between them. and I’m thinking in newer episodes we’re going to see blitz and stolas get together. it’s so clear blitz is super emotional, sensitive and actually cares but struggles with self worry and puts up a front. I’m thinking this is setting up for us to see blitz take accountability for his actions and acknowledge that he does want stolas and stolas is going move on and try new things but realize that blitz is the one for him.

From my observation, Blitzø is scared. Not of commitment, not of having a relationship, but of losing the person he cares about… forever.
My guess is, ever since the fire that destroyed his family’s circus and killed his mom, Blitzø feels like if someone gets too close, relationship-wise, then something will happen that’ll morally wound them or kill them. And, whether it’s an accident or not, he will feel responsible. So he does the only thing that’ll keep them safe and sabotage his relationships.
This is why he suddenly became concerned when Stolas was injured. What he saw as an immortal being and who could survive being around Blizø, suddenly brought that fear back. That if Stolas wanted to be romantically involved with Blizø, now there was a chance that he could loose him forever, and Blizø would blame himself.
But that’s just my take.
I honestly didn't catch who Martha was until I saw the familiar sinner in the background. When I connected the dots, I laughed SOOO hard!!!
I'm also disappointed in how it ended, but I also agree what this was the best decision they could've made for Blitz and Stolas's relationship.
One thing some people missed was that throughout the episode blitzo was trying to apologise to stolas and apology tour wasnt a few days after but just the day after the full moon episode cuz in one of the texts that blitzo was going to send but ended up changing his mind was “srri 4 last night” which means blitzo didnt even let stolas or himself get some time to think of what they could do and hence why stolas was still in a bad mood after the full moon episode

Blitz was the one who made out with other people DURING the arrangement, so for him to get so upset at the incubus for simply just dancing with Stolas AFTER the breakup is insane, but also very telling about Stolas & Blitz's characters. Man I love apology tour so much oml

I never cared about Imp on Owl relationships, I watched this episode for Verosika Mayday, and the Halloween costumes the party goers were wearing.

5:50 I think what happened probably is they had their differences sorted out and possibly came to the realization they were both played by the same man and bonded and soon started being together. Enemies to lovers if you will

I think/want the reason Martha and Mulberry are together is that they went for a violent approach with each other trying to kill the other and during the fights because they are sinners/immortals they opened up to why they did what they did on earth. Eventually realising how bad they were and what they wanted the other had/can give.
A wholesome ending to a messed up start.
I liked this episode. It was very much needed.
Blitz desperately needed this reality check
You know, for as much as I do root for them, there's a part of me now who kind of also wants them not to work out...Like, yes you can love someone, yes you can do all you can to better yourself for a partner, but like real life some times it just doesn't or even can't work no matter how hard you try-- and imo it feels more impactful of a message for relationships to be 'sometimes things don't work out, and that's okay.' I feel like that's a healthier message to spread then 'oh just keep trying and this messy relationship will (probably) work out.
This episode hurt SO much because of how real it is
