Too good to be true, simply amazing! 😮

As you know it's a fan cam, the sound quality isn't great, but also represents 0% post production, it's all real skill and emotion, and their tone is just amazing, they were very young at the time (Guitar 16, Bass 16, Drum 19) god damm!
    《then&now》live in studio next please!🤘🏻

Getting tired of listening to Asterism? Haha, never ever.
I could listen to this song or their whole "Guernica+" album all day long and always enjoy it like the first time.

If you think this song too long, because this song has 2 part, first part is about a crazy scary and night, and second part is when all is over, imagine one night you was chased by scary vampires, and then "DAWN" is come and you feel safe and relax... If you think that way, you gonna amaze how Asterism music telling a story without any lyric.

Discovered Rammstein like u said. Their first time in sweden on a festival. Me and 2 friends were gonna buy kebab when they started playing on the stage next to us. Were maybe 50-100 people there when they started, basicly filled when it ended.

I don’t understand how you can get tired of Hal-Ca solos, each listening to which, even if you have done it hundreds of times, brings a lot of emotions?!
And the song is not long at all. "Dawn" is an instrumental ballad that fits in well with the typical 8-12 minute run time for these pieces.

Not necessarily bored easily but instrumental bands have been a hard week for me typically they just defied that for me

I usually respond the same way to instrumental rock as you, which is why when I discovered Asterism I decided to add their music to a playlist which I then played randomly. Nowadays though, I listen to their albums all the way through without wanting vocals. The only instrumental rock band I can say that for. I love the change of mood in Dawn, and the last few minutes are sublime.

This is actually one of my favourite tracks by them, especially of their first album.
That said, while I love instrumental music, I can completely understand that people who prefer vocals can get a bit tired by this one since it's not a short song.
I second Angel LWJ's request of then&now and otherwise Gunfire. My favourite is probably Church, but you have already done that one.

First time I listening to this song, I literally drop my tears and amaze, how such a beautiful music composition come from band with that ages (afaik, Hal-Ca is just 16 years old when this song released), the joy emotion that I've been missed for almost two decades.
And congratulation you are at 40% of Asterism level now, lol, I mean they still have plenty great songs, and if you want hear some vocal, this Asterism x Maki Oyama collaboration always became my first recommendation : th-cam.com/video/3thAXV4laAA/w-d-xo.html

Not high quality no. A really early performance someone caught on cellphone. (She's like 16 here and the brothers are just a bit older I think. Could be wrong) If Steve Vai and Joe Satriani are fans of yours(Joe gave her one of his guitars because he respects her) you're pretty damned good. At this stage in their career they hadn't really developed their own style, that's happening right now. Recently she took a step back in a song and let the bassist basically show his stuff. Because you don't play an 8 string if you're a slouch. Great reaction!

Hal-ca and Miyu (bass) are born in the same year, so Miyu is 16 or 17 depending on the time it was recorded, Mio is 2 years older.
      - Guitars: Haruka (Hal-Ca) born November 2002.
      - Bass: Miyu born March 2002.
      - Drums: Mio born November 2000.
So yes, they were were very young back then (they are still very young actually). While they started really young (I believe the oldest stuff I have seen is when Hal-ca was 12 or so), they always seemed extremely confident being in front of a crowd. I know I wouldn't have been able to do that. But I also never was able to be this good at one thing and I'm basically double Hal-ca's age at this time, so there is that.

That's the first I've heard about Joe Satriani giving Haruka a guitar, and I couldn't find anything in a quick online search.
Do you remember where you heard that?

@@rickwagner- Yeah I think that is urban legend. Along with the story that she took lessons from Vai. All of their backgrounds are pretty well documented. There is video of Hal-Ca from when she is 11, one year after she took up guitar (she also plays drums, keyboards and bass), already playing on stage in some kind of competition or festival. Yamaha Music Foundation did a short documentary on them soon after they formed the band and won the Yamaha competition. It is on the Yamaha Music Foundation Channel. Haruka has said in interviews that Akira Takasaki was her original inspiration.
