I played against a tennis coach today and I reckon 90% of the lobs I played that landed in, he did not know what to do. It was so effective (when I didn't over cook or under cook it!). The tip about using your body is cool - I'll try that in future!
Topspin chiquita is a very advanced shot. Also the preparation for that shot is different, the face of the racket has to be closed, here we have the face of the racket open. But as you said, the most important thing here is that you should be able to play different shots with the same preparation 🙌
If you think about it, taking into account that half of the time you are at the net, this would mean that 1 out of 2 shots when defending is a lob 🤯 Now we just need to see if that is the right percentage hehehe
@padeldriver I noticed at least twice with your videos. I have volume on PC at 40% and TH-cam 100% and I can barely hear you. Doesn't happen with other channels/videos. If I raise the volume of my PC then everything else is really loud. Maybe it just happens to me, but worth checking?

No even need to hide, you can trick with topspin chiquita from lob preparation to suprise whenever you want.

just watch any of the pro matches and count the number of lobs % in the match. I think the number is like 25%. That's how important this shot is.
