Love the videos, great to see you challenge an elite player and I totally se you coming back and giving him another run for his money! Keep up the stella vids!
Firstly, nice video and editing, good job! Secondly, your last game - the big part of losing it was the physical preparation/tiredness combined with a lack of skills at the backglass. One month of intense training is no joke and it takes its toll on your endurance. You are quite consistent at making good shots in comfortable/semi-comfortable positions, however, a lot of times at the back instead of a simple high lob you chose to play a fairly easy ball to the net. This leads to him being in the position, where he can place the ball where he wants, which means you have a harder time defending, so you have to run a lot chasing that ball, while he stands in the center. The end result - he's fresh, you are way more tired, so you start making additional mistakes. Don't get me wrong - you managed to maintain fairly long rallies against someone better than you and that whole progression in just a month is impressive. Congrats!
Thanks so much for the feedback! Hopefully as I train more I can become more efficient with how I use energy and for sure I need to use more lobs. Vamos!!!
Nice video. Can recognize myself. With my background in tennis I can hang with decent players in padel. But when I have sparring with better players I tend to lose patience and go for shots that bite me up my arse. But padel is so fun. Vamos!
Really nice video! Dont get confused with the difference between vibora and bandeja tho! It doesnt really matter the point of contact, what matters is the effect, in bandeja you slice the ball from below and vibora you kind of slice it from the side of the ball, and normally you would hit the vibora from a higher point! At the end the main difference is that vibora is an ofensive ball while bandeja is more like a defensive ball with the only objetive of coming back to the net. Cheers, keep it up!
Thanks for such an in depth comment ! I agree with what you’re saying about slice. Although I think what Chaki means is that for the Vibora you can hit the ball later, when it is descending so it travels very low to the net and reducing the height of the rebound. This also allows you to make it more aggressive (quite a few coaches suggest this). But in practise, I think the differences are often small and actually some of the pros are hitting almost a combination of bandeja and vibora. That’s how i understand it anyway but it can differ from person to person!
You are a good player. I think you should lob more, not just defensive lobs but good/offensive lobs. If you dont want to lob because you think the opponents will smash you, it means your defense isn't good enough. Then, you know what to do. Btw, he is your coach for a reason so well done 👏🏼
Congratulations for those contents you're sharing, the quality is great! Can i ask you how this kind of life is sustainable? Like, living while training, enjoy the trip... Do you work from remote? I would love to know it, thank you sirrr
Hi. Love the video🔥 One quick question. What racket are u using? I'm looking to change my old one and I was curious what do u think. Do you have any recommendations?
Thanks! It depends on a lot of factors (experience, city, number of sessions etc) but i’ve seen it range between €25-75 for a private lesson. Obviously if you train with other people it could be less. Feel free to DM us if you want more info!
Keep peace in your mind by realizing you will win 6-0 6-0 against a padel pro in tennis ;-) Amazing how Chaki was able to place every single ball at most 10cm of where he wanted it to drop the entire vid long and didnt need to actually run or scramble to a ball at all. Such skill.
Padel is much more fast to evolve but anyway takes time... I also play Tennis for more than 13 years (I still play a little bit) but to be a good Padel player takes time and I lose a lot (Lose is part of the proccess), anyway in Padel in not depends only of us.
the level in spain is so so much higher than the UK and it will be 5 -10 years before this gets anywhere near changing. The "best" UK players are not as good as a top player at most decent clubs in large cities in spain IMHO of living here for 20 years and playing padel for 5 years and seeing all sorts of youtubers and Sandy and his brother etc. You have to start at a very young age and play a lot, just like in any sport to get to a top level and also play against others in the same position and of a good or better level and this just isn't happening in the UK yet.... maybe when we have over 2-3000 courts, but we are about 5 years away from that too. Good luck, but there will be no UK players in the top 50 for many many many years, not even if they come from pro tennis I'd say.
you improved alot and you are very talented. Your technique is great but you play 'too tall' ie you are not loading your weight on your hips and generating power through your body. Also you don't have great movement rhythm and movement patterns which will probably come with experience, meaning you take lots of shuffle steps and aren't so efficient with your movement. Also you aren't making the best decisions with your shots so you're missing opportunities and taking unnecessary risk. I think if you focus on improving these you will be a top level player
Thank you! Yep I do struggle with lower shots and need to use my lower body and core more. Movement is also a big one - i’ll be focusing a lot on this going forward. Thanks again for the support and hopefully I can improve on those areas soon!
Things you say about vibora being hit from lower is wrong btw. th-cam.com/video/cYP4P219ZIw/w-d-xo.html This guy is 2m long and vibora from above his head.
Hi! So I think there’s a lot of variations and everyone is different. But generally, coaches advise to hit the vibora a bit lower than the bandeja (and not usually from directly above your head if that makes sense). I definitely found it easier this way, but others may differ.
Where should we go next ? 🌍🤩🎾

Thanks very much and good question!! We’ll try to cover this in a future video.
What padel club u recommend in Valencia, I’m visiting tomorrow and I want to play and train
Nice! I played at Sportcity - it’s a really good club.
Hi. Love the video🔥
One quick question. What racket are u using? I'm looking to change my old one and I was curious what do u think.
Do you have any recommendations?
I currently go for a round head, with a focus on control but maybe changing soon for more power (to a diamond or teardrop shape)!
Great video! Can i ask what is the going rate for coaching sessions in Spain?
Thanks! It depends on a lot of factors (experience, city, number of sessions etc) but i’ve seen it range between €25-75 for a private lesson. Obviously if you train with other people it could be less. Feel free to DM us if you want more info!

awesome vid!! just out of curiosity, what's your playtomic profile?

Me descojono con el chavalito de valencia hablando en inglés, pero almenos le pone ganas jajajaj
Vibora you come more around the ball on the outside, like peeling an orange, that's the biggest difference vs bandeja.
gj, keep it up btw!
@@oliverfreakout Cheers! Yep, agree about the vibora.
Try to use more smash in the game, you are tall and have a good technique from tennis, abuse the kicksmash shot and you will win a lot of points
Don’t worry Tio it was getting abused 🤣, I’m trying to vary my offense more now though. But I agree, a good smash is a game changer!
Why the music?

Keep Playing on the right side , u have better position there
Thanks! Yeah I’m definitely enjoying playing on the right now, but I do miss hitting the smash from the left.
