    people here disagreeing in the comments lol. Tasty isn't the first coach suggesting equal preparation for all overhead shots, that's actually very accepted in higher level coaching in Spain. It's just what you see commonly in YT is geared towards beginners-intermediates. Another good video

      Thank you for your insight! It’s true! Actually our teaching is many times based on what happens on the professional level but simplified to be understood on a recreational level.

    Great video. The same preparation for every shot makes good sense. Keep the opponent guessing

    Hi, interesting idea! I think that this is something for advanced players though. If I freeze frame your shots at then end, you prepare high, but right before hitting a vibora, you move into "the closed racket behind head position" that generally is taught. You have the practice and experience to quickly do this adjustment before hitting, but someone who started playing padel and know approaches the vibora likely will not.
    Yes, preparing differently will telegraph your shot, but in my opinion, for the majority of players that is a lesser risk than the quick adjustment necessary if you prepare equal

      It’s a personal habit. You get the spin without taking the racket behind your head. We will do a video of this

    I agree. Disguise major obiective for hight balls. Disgiuse also to yourself. Only at the last moment you decide! Thanks our coach.

    Good video. Tino, among the players who don't smash the ball often, is the scariest in the air, specially considering his age. One of my favourite players.

      And i recommend watching the games in premier padel where they have the camera sideways to really understand what you say in the video and try to copy. i think r32 chile for example against rico and esbri.

    This is such a beautiful video, I'm new to this game and been playing for three months. I struggle with early preparation for overhead shots(I'm old 😊) and having the same preparation for different overhead shots is such a simple and beautiful solution. U can change the pace and padel face but preparing like taking the padel behind ur head for vibora felt so unnecessary , feel moving ur feet to create space to hit the ball is more important for a vibora than the correct racket position

    • @tastyplayhard
      @tastyplayhard  5 หลายเดือนก่อน +1

    Hi Gabo
    Do you think it is possible to do a single preparation by holding the racket behind the neck?
    you can also do all the shots from there thanks for your videos and I really hope that you will do more on tactics

    • @tastyplayhard
      @tastyplayhard  10 วันที่ผ่านมา

      Yeah you can but it’s not what we recommend or teach. But if you manage to do everything from there, and never hit late or under the ball, then keep on going 🔥🔥🔥

    So you are basically doing the preparation of the vibora as part of the shot, i.e. you prepare it "wrong", and then just a second before the shot you move the racket to the correct position :D . It's pretty strange and it makes the shot more difficult by adding 1 more step to the shot while you could do it during preparation where you usually have much more time. I mean, this technique you teach makes it actually harder to do a proper vibora, it's usually easier to learn more than one preparation but easier shots instead of one preparation and trickier shots! Moreover, about the disguise part, what they usually teach you is doing exactly the opposite if you want, that is: you prepare the vibora and then from that position you can perform a slower vibora and achieve a more defensive shot, similar to a bandeja. I'm not saying this doesn't work obviously, I'm just saying you are making the vibora MORE complex with this style!

    • @tastyplayhard
      @tastyplayhard  5 หลายเดือนก่อน

      I think you have misunderstood. The preparation is racket head up. From there you create the spin by hitting the ball on the side or you can go for a flat shot etc. You don’t need to drop the racket head behind your head to hit a vibora. Gabo does it in this example, since it’s natural to him to hit that way but he can hit it racket head up as well. Every shot we teach it’s preparation, shot and follow through. Not preparation, another preparation and shot. With disguise only the shot and followthrough changes.

    • @nexxxuno
      @nexxxuno 5 หลายเดือนก่อน +2

      @@tastyplayhard I look at how you perform the shot and you move the racket to the "correct" position as part of the shot, and that's ok, otherwise you wouldn't be able to perform the vibora starting from up there!

      Thank you for your feedback but I completely disagree with you. You do what works out for you and we will do what works out for us and for our players … what I am sure of is that we have tested everything we teach many many times, with many different costumers and players … what about you? What is your experience, background, level? Anyway, good to have an opinion and you are more than welcome to meet us in person to show you how it works when you get to experience it live!

      @@coach_gabo8425 I am an advanced player with many hours of training in Italy and Spain (with wpt players), I was just making the point that you are still doing a normal vibora in the video, you just do the prep as part of the shot, don't be mad about it.

      @coach_gabo8425 5 หลายเดือนก่อน

      😂 I am not mad buddy. Why would I be? I am actually happy to read your opinion and feedback. What would life be without all the different colors and flavors? Also, it takes much more than a comment to get me “mad” … trust me, I will go to bed in peace ❤. Keep enjoying the game and good for you to be an advanced player and be coach by “WPT” players … surely that makes you a champion :).

      Great to see Tino is starting with a normal vibora preparation in most shots, in this video. Look at the arm bending and racket going almost behind the head. When he is not going behind the head he is in a more defensive position and doing a bandeja.
