We have this clicking noise on both of our 2015 Outbacks, it started when the cars were around 2-3 years old. The power gate still works but always clicks when going up or down. Subaru has a TSB for this issue 07-113-16. It identifies the nut you tightened as the cause of the issue. However it says the part is not field serviceable and calls for the whole assembly replacement, which is over $300. Glad they are wrong. I was planning to attempt the same thing when it starts giving me issues besides just clicking. Thanks for the video.
