Wow, I had no idea that the Jicarillo Apache had such depth in reverence for the earth, plants, and history. This people have much to share and teach their neighbors.
We want to hear more stories, and see many more documentaries of the Ancestral people of this Land. Absolutely lovely… “Preserving our Culture”. Thank you for educating the new generations of today, from all backgrounds, in America. Staying connected, and in balance with Mother Earth. My humble respect to you. Thank you. - British Gal living in America.
Thank you for filming these people and their lives and beliefs. More people need to be aware of and respect cultures other than their own. And maybe they will learn ways and ideas to incorporate into their own lives.
Thankyou Kate for all your efforts and heart in bringing us this beautiful documentary! And as others have said we need more! There are so many beautiful stories to help us remember and learn that we are all connected on this one beautiful earth! Many blessings to all of the earth keepers working for the sacred heart of the mother.May we continue to come out of the darkness, into the light and honor this beautiful gift that we all are stewards upon. May we walk in beauty with our hearts open and our spirits soaring!

Some things they forgot to mention: In the San Luis Valley, the Apache tribe primarily fought against the Ute tribe, often allying with the Spanish to combat the Comanche who frequently raided the area; specifically, the Jicarilla Apache band would sometimes join forces with the Ute against the Comanche in the valley. Key points about the conflicts: Primary enemy: The Ute tribe was the most prominent Native American group in the San Luis Valley, making them the main adversaries of the Apache in the region. Comanche threat: The Comanche also posed a significant threat, often raiding settlements in the area, leading to alliances between the Apache and Ute against them. Spanish involvement: The Spanish sometimes partnered with the Apache and Ute to combat the Comanche.

lol. They don't even tell the truth of their own migration and instead make up a story about "emergence". DNA evidence clearly shows that to be ridiculous.
"Ancestral Homelands of the Jicarilla Apache" It is recorded that the earliest people migrated up from Africa to the Middle East, to China and to the Siberian peninsula before crossing into North America. And then some sailed down the coast. Europeans sailed from Europe to the Eastern America. So everyone whocame here in North America were immigrants - including Indians. Except for those born in this country (including caucasians). To them "homelands" are where they were born.
@@AmericanMadeAdventures "This divisive, anti American content is garbage." How is knowledge about North American immigration "garbage"? (it is agreed by many scientists now) And how can it be "Anti American" when it is only explaining America's early population movement? If the truth is "divisive" it is that way by itself, not because of a comment.

I "came home" to Dulce after being away for a decade this Fall. Like Keisha said. I can smell it. I can feel it. I won't stay away as long this time.

I don’t think that was the purpose of this video.
Utes and Jicarillas were allies during the historical period.. rendering half of your spiel moot.
El Mogoté approves™ !!! great job....
Interesting video , but I couldn’t hear what they were saying, the music is way too loud.
I pray all that has been lost will be found again for the Jicarilla Apache Tribe ❤ Namaste 🙏

The US department of interior should return the names of the sacred rivers, mountains and valleys to their original ancestoral names.

Proof that Jicarilla have a more accurate history of the earth than the Christian Bible or the Jewish Tanakh.
