A Day in the Lockdown Life of the Border Terrierists

Sammie and Pippin give a snapshot of their daily life living through the lockdown for the global Coronavirus pandemic in 2020. Starting with breakfast in bed, they join in with BT PE with Fido Wicks, head out for a walk (falling foul of the social distancing police), they tune in to the 'Border Terriers Against Coronavirus' daily news briefing followed by online zoomies with Aunty Mabel! Finally they snuggle up for some reflection on the things they are missing most.
The video was produced for #BTPOP (Border Terrier Pawformances of Pawsitivity), an online concert to raise money for www.borderterrierwelfare.co.uk and celebrate 100 years of breed recognition for the Border Terrier. Follow the hashtag on Twitter for more hilarious and tear-jerking pawformances.
The girls are trained using positive reinforcement (food and toys, praise and encouragement). Dog training is not my day job and we produce these videos for fun and to spend quality time with the dogs. They are not asked to do anything they are uncomfortable with. In this video, they were rewarded with sausage, especially for wearing the masks (made of old socks!), which was something new for them. In the video you can see that they willingly moved their face towards the masks and they were worn for a very short period of time.

Oh that was so cheering. We are lucky, we have a large garden and a small village so our two BTs have not really noticed much difference. We don't practice 2 metres with each other :) stay safe all.
