Just a quick one to Kevin Hunziker, I had a 1976 Custom, and must say that we all have our favorite guitars, It took me a while to sell it after I bought a Custom R8, a great guitar, 58 reissue. Love it. The 57 Greg is playing is also a fantastic guitar.
I have such a guitar, a bit older but from them custom shop, it sounds wonderful, save your money and buy then one, there are not many guitars that are like this one.
I have a 1976 pancake Les Paul Custom wine red that out classes this guitar. I only paid $876.00 US dollars for it. Of course I did buy it new in 1977. I know lots of people hate on the Norlin pancake body guitars but I had a pro setup done on it and sounds and plays incredible. Everything is original. The T-Top pickup are fantastic. I have had lots of offers to sell it, but no way will depart with it.
This guitar costs over €7k! That's a disgrace. You've gotta hand it to Gibsons marketing department though. The thinner peghead veneer and true historic plastic really makes a difference.
RobbieC262 I'm almost inclined to say 'if you can get away with it, go for it!', but it really does beggar belief doesn't it? You can buy a gorgeous Custom for at least half that money all day long, and an average workhorse for even less, why someone would bother with this makes my brain hurt. It's a lovely guitar but...7K. It's nonsense like this that keeps funding Henry J's fascination with self tuning and goat molesting. (Alright, I admit I made the latter one up, I just think it fits him.)
i am drooling over for this guitar. the tone, the look, and the texture it brings straight to the amplifier. just perfect!

Elhungaro Gitano es a propósito, para darle mayor expresividad y matices a lo que toca.

Greg, beautiful playing. what scales do you use when you're playing lead?
