You should mention that this fuel mixture ratio only works at first 1/6th of throttle and after that the fuel ratio is mixed by main jets and needle valve profile
The screw you mention is not idle-air screw it's just pilot jet fuel screw and screwing inwards makes it leaner, restricting fuel, screwing it outwards allows more fuel = more rich. The screw above the screw you are working on (the one with the spring) is idle air screw.

@@ridingwithmischief Do you refer to the opposite side of the drain line, on the left of the red knob (idle screw)? If so, that's the Pilot (air-fuel mixture) Screw and you can screw it in or out to adjust the A-F mixture ratio. I hope this helps again! :)
