    You need a bullet being pushed forward to push the slide back. This is how a blowback design works. Pressure is trapped between the bullet and the case/slide that moves the bullet and slide at the same time. No bullet = no slide movement.

    • @aviationist1018
      @aviationist1018 3 ปีที่แล้ว +3

    • @joshuaferia8972
      @joshuaferia8972 ปีที่แล้ว

      Right!! You don’t actually need a bullet to go forward you can actually cap off the barrel and the pressure is going to only have one way to go which is backwards don’t really know if it’s still enough pressure to cycle another round though depending on the recoil spring as well if its a really light one chances are it’ll knock the slide all the way back but with a heavy recoil spring/guide rod then probably not

      DB Cooper yeah, I remember when that happened. Brandon was off camera. The other actor (with the gun) was being filmed but still aimed directly at Bradon's belly. Crazy. Today all gun wranglers and prop personnel on sets (because of that incident), all look down the barrel before handing a gun over to an actor. So tragic. I have a serious question. A lot of people heard the story of how Brandon Lee died while filming the Crow. A dummy round was loaded but they didn't removed the primer so it was lodged in the barrel when the trigger was pulled. Then they loaded in the blanks and when fired, the blanks launched the dummy round out killing Lee. My question is how would anybody not heard heard an explosion from when the gun had a dummy round with the primer in it? You'd think somebody on set might've said something.

    • @bogeydope3022
      @bogeydope3022 2 ปีที่แล้ว +2

      Simple answer, the bullet of the dummy round was pressed into the rifling and since the primer alone can't move the slide the sound was much more muffled because the barrel was obstructed plus the slide still closed. This is basically how some purposely made suppressed guns work, leaving the slide closed.

    • @Game-The-System
      @Game-The-System หลายเดือนก่อน +1

      Being before the internet, I never heard all the details on the Brandon Lee accident. But what I remember hearing never made sense to me.
      Supposedly it happened during the scene in which there is a whole room of people shooting at Brandon and that "somehow" a live round was in one of the guns used.

      GunsWithGage yes its super safe and ok, jk. but maybe you can do in a controlled way so it will be safe. Actually it probably wouldn't be good with tanerrite cuz the gun most likely would explode. however try using flash powder instead that might be better it's not as explosive as Tannerite, no where close yet it's still very powerful and this may cause the bullet to actually shoot out instead of blowing up the gun depending on how thick the walls are of the barrel and if it could take the load from The Flash, not sure if flash is good at moving a projectile like gunpowder is but if the pressure cant exscape because it's not powerful enough to blow up the walls of the barrel then it has to send the bullet flying out and I'm just curious at what speed it would be flying out at since flash burns way faster than gunpowder and even explodes under confinment.

    My question is how fast the bullet would come out if you put it back in the casing. Would it even make it out of the barrel? XD

    • @TylerEvans116
      @TylerEvans116 8 หลายเดือนก่อน

      It does not make it out of the barrel it’ll get lodged. Happened to me once, had to lube up the barrel and hammer it out with a wooden dowel. Accidentally missed putting powder in a case somehow with a 9mm reload.

      If the bullet was able to make it into the rifling it would likely become stuck in the gun..

    Trying to figure out if I can put blue confetti in for a gender reveal? I don’t want the fireball to infinite them lol. Maybe a plastic separator in between the primer and confetti to stop it. Thanks for sharing

    • @KClO3
      @KClO3 4 ปีที่แล้ว

      Bert Longbottom that would probably work, you can even use a shotgun shell with primer only just cut the end of a shotgun shell and remove all the contents then put the wadding back in then you can put the blue confetti

      @@dirtrida274 will you use a shotgun?. my grandpa teached me with primer only with only the wad and a little bit of paper instead of confetti, actually you should do a test shot first so it doesnt shoot it too far
