Getting your MC and DOT numbers isn't hard, as long as you know what you are looking for. In this video, we will go over the registration process which will be one of the first steps in starting YOUR OWN trucking business.

Did it!!! Thank you so much for all the guidance in the vid. Will you marry me? Jk but you all that do this I’ll share my error. I set up a LLC and when doing the steps I entered it as my name and also my DBA. Was confused for some reason so after you do all this from my understanding any changes after be made with a form and DL pic. It’s all simple but it isn’t.
My biggest reason is to heads up that the second you file this your phone will blow up like never before. They all claim they are with FMCSA and this and that. I called FMCSA and those are service providers (not exactly scammers but you don’t need them for all they are trying to sign you up for). My advice and this is just mine but give it a hour and CALL FMCSA and make sure your application is fine. If I hadn’t I wouldn’t had caught that error in mine. I wouldn’t had known about a problem until God knows when.

With the register agents do you have a video explaining more ? Like if your starting off how do you know what states your going too or in the future what if you need too go too other states ? I'm getting started but got confused with that subject

Google boc-3 and pick one. From research, costs range from $20 to $150/ year..

BOC-3 is pretty easy to obtain. All you do is search for BOC-3 providers and choose the one that suits you best. We use Service of Process Agents, Inc. www.processagents.net

In a previous video for the insurance you stated that we should get a dot number and sit on it to age because insurance company's will not insure a new business with a new Dot number. When the 90 days is up i need to show insurance coverage or my dot number will be cancelled and i will have to pay again. With that being said my Dot number will not be good or deleted due to not having insurance coverage or an agent.

I myself use Zenbusiness there’s plenty of the out there just have to search they pretty much submit forms to get your llc going and ein number
Can i get DOT number and than start looking for a truck? Because if I get one and than for some reason it ends up being rejected now I'm stuck with the truck.
Can you talk on registered agents and what that process looks like? I have a moving company and looking at doing out of state, you mentioned the registered agents and that was the only piece I am unsure of
If you will be working for the PORTS you will always need an MC number.I was told that info and I called CHP and they confirmed. The containers come from all over the world and all over the States so you need an MC. You will need a Interstate authority. A intrastate authority will not be enough for you to work for the ports.
YES! This is very true. Interstate does not depend only on whether the truck crosses state lines- it depends on whether the actual cargo is interstate.

Hello love your videos very self-explanatory keep up the good work I started my own transporting business with a guy and he claims that the invoice for the deliveries we've delivered has not been sent it's been months. Is this normal since I am working under his authority i have not been paid now I'm trying to figure out how to go out on my own

I have a question, I am going to start with box truck but yet I didn't buy it but I'm gonna apply mc dot with help of this video, question is should I have to click on general fright and other things which comes fit in box truck. Second ❓ is what to do right now while applying mc dot because I have in my plan to add another truck which will be reefer in my business after few months of startup. Should I mention now in filling mc dot or update that later on when reefer come into my fleet. 3rd question is I have SSN and EIN number, what I have to put in applying mc dot.

Where do i input this information? And im newly starting off so i dont have any contacts or RA in others states. What should i do before the 90 days have passed? You mentioned you have to have insurance within 90 days. What if you are still shopping around for a semi truck? Or can you insure a sprinter vehicle and insure a semi later on?

First off, great video and really helpful! I have my LLC,DOT number and ein already and was working by getting subcontracted but that ended for me. I’m trying to apply directly with Amazon relay and their requirements are “an active dot # with interstate authority and a valid MC number” and “a carrier entity type authorized for property and for hire” my dot snapshot only says intrastate only, would I have to choose that same option for my MC application? I am only trying to work locally in Colorado. So sorry for the long question.

@@antoniotorres7851 what’s up Antonio, I did man I ended up opening an MC number authorized for property and for hire. I guess Amazon asks for both. Also you need it to be interstate as well

@@antoniotorres7851 It’s been okay man not the best to be honest. I’m just an owner operator with one semi truck and they don’t keep me busy all year long. It’s more of a seasonal type of work here in Colorado and if there is work nowadays it’s not paid well. Plus you have to be on your phone 24/7 trying to get loads on the load board
