min.5.25 : when do i stop giving water , today 10 febr. i have no flowers anymore, what is the right time. ? And when i replace it to the cellar ? I find it complicated despite the excellent video
4:29 Stop watering when the temperature is below 10°C/50F. Because Amaryllis don't grow at all when it is cold. If in your region it is warm and suitable for amaryllis to grow now, just maintain regular care. They will bloom in spring or early summer if the bulbs have reached a mature blooming size.

I love to have my Amarillo’s inside for the holidays but the mats are terriable what and how do I treat the and with what I bought some systemic powder to put on top they were still bad I am79 and have enjoyed these bulbs blooming at Christmas please help thank you k you 🙏👍
Mosquito bits. Always water with it. As soon as they come inside use at double strength. After gnats are knocked down go to regular strength. It works well
I think what you mean are the small black flies, known as fungus gnats. You can hang a yellow sticky papercard around the plants. The gnats will land on the yellow card and be eliminated.

Most of the new bulbs are cured by bulb companies to encourage blooming before selling in the market. But if the bulbs are not treated, they may not bloom within 1-2 months as expected. Normally the natural blooming season of Amaryllis is in spring and early summer.
Thank you, my friend :) Living in Malaysia, I can only do dormancy in the fridge. Otherwise, they remain leafy. But still despite the 6 weeks in the fridge, I usually put them in a dark room or box with enough ventilation to carry on their dormant period for at least another 10 days. That's when I see the flower buds.
Thank you for useful tips. : ) But I have a question. Must you get them dormant to rebloom? As to my experience, they will naturally bloom in Spring even't without dormancy, as long as they've build up enough energy inside. Dormancy can make the expected spring flower bloom earlier in any season.
@@SelectionLife Yes, I guess you might find an odd one that blooms without a dormant period. But in warm climate like ours in Malaysia, 6 - 8 weeks in the fridge is the way to go, I'm afraid.
Actually for most of my Amaryllis, I let them grow all year around without dormancy, and they naturally bloom in spring every year. Unless I want to time the bloom in a specific holiday. Amaryllis are tropical plants, they can bloom without dormancy. But yes, dormancy can help them bloom sooner and better.
I have personally never seen a amaryllis with more than a couple leaves..it was amazing to see..I get mine at a bug box store when they're on clearance but I've never saved them after they have bloomed I thought they were done afterwards..thank you for sharing this and showing me differently
An Amaryllis bulb can live as long as 15 years! And considering it can produce more and more bullets, it can be a plant handed down to our children. 😚😜

Interrupting the difference in stages of growth is good.

How long have you been growing it? Some leaves will turn yellow and die back in winter, so you might have only a few leaves left.
