£16.5k for a small hatchback with 85 bhp. That’s hilarious. 0-60 in over 13 seconds suggests it will be frustrating to drive too. My other half’s Ibiza FR with 115 bhp was only about £17.5k list price when we bought it last year. I’d want a big discount on this Fiesta. .
Additionally, it really makes a Swift Sport seem like a bargain when it was previously accused by the motoring press of being too expensive (especially with respect to its predecessor). You can get one of these for £17K *right now*. To be fair to the Fiesta, it does look to be pretty refined, as well as pretty safe (it has an amusingly named NCAP pack), and it has an alarm as well as cornering fog lights, but it lacks front parking sensors, autonomous emergency braking, a reversing camera, auto-dimming rear-view mirror or automatic climate control, and it weighs over 1.1 tons, so no real wonder why the 1.1 litre engine (which is probably their lowest offering) doesn't move the car any faster nor offer more than middling economy. They'll sell like hot cakes, and it's a nice car with low insurance costs, but I don't think it's a good deal personally especially given the FR or the Swift Sport.
Car Obsession it’s pretty much top of the range so it’s better equipped than the Fiesta and a much more usable engine which doesn’t need to be revved all the time to get reasonable performance.
I am thinking of upgrading to the MK7 and was wondering how would this engine compare to my current 1.6 TDCi in MKV fiesta. I guess both economy and performance would suffer
Car Obsession you claim this is the Ford Fiesta Trend. But the „trend“-line does not have a monitor/ screen in it - at least here in Germany. I guess this is the „cool&connect“ line.
@@m1ll1on4r3 What do you mean I "claim" it is the Fiesta Trend? I can confirm with 100% confidence that is is a Trend. In the UK it comes as standard with an 8" touchscreen 👍🏽. I hope that clears things up 👌🏽.
How much? They're having a laugh, a big one. And yeah it's discounted but maybe that's why they're having trouble in europe at the moment. And with the new Clio and 208 on the horizon why would you buy a car that's over 10 years old now?
I would say get one around 10 months old with as low miles as possible and save probably around 4k maybe more 16k very high for entry spec but still quite smart car all round
Just got mine and very happy with it
Still going good ? Any issues ?
@@damianburbidge2371 Don't have it any more now .
Great review as always Aaron, I really enjoy your presentations.
Hi zaporida, thanks for watching, and thanks for the feedback!
Great review
Thank you very much Phil!

What features does the FR have, though? Thanks for watching.

@Rick G I'll concede the point if you can get the Trend for £1,000 to £1,500 below RRP. :)
Rick G that’s a much more sensible price for the fiesta

Big mistake, getting rid of the popular and well known zetec trim. The trend models, don’t even come with the eco boost engine
Ford have now addressed this for 2020, you can now get a 95ps EcoBoost.
milly Used to be 99 BHP in the zetec

This is not the „Trend-Line“.
Hi there, thanks for watching. I'm not sure what you mean by your comment.

It’s a all new fiesta this model, it’s not from 10 years ago
@@forza223bowe5 it's based on the 2008 fiesta, it's just a revamp. It's not all new like the clio and 208.
Steve Jewiss The exterior is, but interior looks totally different.
@@forza223bowe5 still based on a 10 year old design. And even the interior is dire in that cheap Ford way.
