I do unterstand what adnan is trying to say but he speaks of hateful so called "Christians" as if their behavior was drawn from the doctrine of their faith. A Christian by definition is a follower of Christ. People mighty call themselves Christian but that doesn't make you anymore Christian than somebody who merely claims to be a Muslim makes him an actual Muslim. When people speak critically of Islam they actually quote Muslim's sources and Muslim interpretations to state their case (obviously not everyone) but certainly people in academia. But Muslim's can't quote a Christian source, words of Christ that would call to violence.
We should always be ready to make a distinction between people's behavior and the doctrine of the faith they claim to be part of and due to the fact that Muslim sources are more openly available and westerners are now able to look at them, we certainly find things that would explain radical behaviours.
We should be able to critically examine the sources without being called "islamophobes or "hate preachers"
