D-Parry already gives you i-Frames, it’s that the chip extends it for even longer. Which is both a blessing and a curse when it comes to Parry Sequences. Sometimes you parry and it activates during the parry sequence which means you have to do the parry sequence over again
You know how parts of verses wait until you get the boss’s health bar to get to a certain point, and until you reach it you just hear a non lyrical version of that segment you’re on? Imagine a challenge where you have to damage the bosses quickly enough to avoid encountering that music loop. It almost happens at 4:11, albeit it is off by like, one measure. Like, don’t lock it to any specific ability loadout or difficulty, just do whatever it takes to make the song’s lyrics play exactly like youre listening to the actual song on Spotify or something. Obviously there are certain situations where this couldn’t be done, such as when the music is looped to account for the length of a cutscene (like at 3:45), or it’s just completely impossible to do it even with the most optimal route (like at 1:10:19), but in every other situation, you try to make it as seamless as possible.

This is just a theory, but I think the only reason why Roquefort lost against Chai is because he was standing in the wrong place at the wrong time and had a slip of the tongue. Because of his greed and how much he likes money, it is very likely that one of the functions added to his robotic body was the ability to cash his checks at any time and instantly have the resulting money delivered to his vault simply by saying, "cash my check" (or something similar). When he said that last line while standing under the delivery pipe, it included the words "cash my check." His last check must have been a whopper because the amount of money that came through the pipe due to cashing that check was enough to bury him completely. Again, this is just a theory and open to speculation.
I played this game right when it got released never finished it cause I’m busy a lot but I’m in the middle of the game I think can’t remember. I’m with the jojo reference guy I just checked and I’m stuck on destroying the ai bot eye and I can’t get the beat down
I didn't really think of this but...how are Mimosa's robots playing those instruments? You literally can't play instruments without lips specifically brass and woodwind.
Well, from easiest to hardest, my ranking would be... 7. QA-1MIL - He's pretty much the easiest boss out of the whole bunch, which makes sense bc y'know, he's the first boss. His attack patterns are easy to memorize and dodge, and the only difficulty I had with him was when he just decides to quickly swat you out of midair. It's the only attack that I can't consistently parry. 6. Rekka - For the same reasons as QA-1MIL. Barring her pipe attacks (which could be easily dodged by just remaining in the air), her attacks are very easily telegraphed. Only problem I had with her was the transition to her phase 3, where she throws the pipes at you and you have no choice but to dodge them. I restarted the fight a whole bunch of times 'cuz of that. 5. Korsica - This boss' difficulty really depends on how good your parrying skill is. I sucked at parrying before, and Korsica absolutely destroyed me during my first run of the game. But after completing the game, I was able to beat her in one attempt as my parrying skills had greatly improved since then. The level she's in is an absolute slog to get through though. But personally? She's still my favorite boss out of the whole roster. 4. Mimosa - Her attack patterns can be hard to figure out at first, but once you realize that you can stunlock her by just spamming the shit out of your partners and continuously attacking her, then the boss is easy as hell. Only issue that you can encounter is during the final phase of her boss fight, where she traps you in a cube and sends those wave thingies at you. Atleast you can parry that attack like I did and not go through that annoying section entirely. The boss music also fucking slaps. 3. Roquefort - I'd put Kale here, but upon hindsight, I had a much easier time with Roquefort. He might seem difficult at first (and the developers thought so too, as he is the only boss without a no-damage challenge), but his attacks are very telegraphed and dodgeale during the first phase of his boss fight. The second phase has a bunch of bullshit attacks (specifically the one where Roquefort starts clawing at you really fast) but that can be easily interrupted by a partner jam attack or a special such as Hibiki. The laser section is also kind of bullshit as well, and I find dodging the lasers to be much more consistent than parrying them. His third phase is basically the same as the first phase, with the exception of the new attack where he goes into his gold pile. Once you figure out that you just have to parry him and stay close to the giant fist thing, then it's basically free damage for you. 2. Kale - This boss right here tests just how good you are at parrying. His sword attacks are easily telegraphed, but his laser drones? Hoo boy, are they such a pain in the freaking ass. The first phase is fine, really. His laser drones attack in very recognizable patterns that you can easily parry, which also has the extra reward of stunning him and allowing you to get some free damage in. The second phase is fine too, kinda. It's hard to get at first, but once you realize that you have to attack his tentacle thingies instead of y'know, Kale himself, them the second phase is a breeze. The third phase though, goddamn. His laser drones become utter bullshit because they start firing at you independently of Kale's own attacks. What makes it even worse is that the red lasers that the drones emit are so freaking hard to see because the whole area is bathed in red light. Took me a good few tries to beat Kale without any damage, but once I did, god, it was soo satisfying. 1. Zanzo - No. Seriously. I'm not joking. It took me two sessions to beat this guy without taking any damage. And that's because there's no actual boss fight. You're stuck with dealing with a whole buttload of common enemies that can ruin your day (looking at you, biker shield robot) and RNG that dictates whether or not the enemies decide to be passive or aggressive as hell. What makes it even worse is the escape sequence at the end. The first fight in that escape sequence was a goddamn nightmare to get a score ranking of S in, and in the second fight, it was so easy to get hit by the laser robots that it just became utterly painful because I had to restart the whole damn level each time. Overall? Wouldn't recommend. For your own sanity, don't do Zanzo's level in one go. It's just painful.
