Yes. About cats. I rescued a neighborhood stray. My daughter got him vaccinated, chipped and neutered. He followed me around for weeks. He still wants to be where I am. As far as my crochet is concerned, he wants to play with it.
Poor sassy, she has just imprinted on you❣️I had a Siamese cat (Mocha) and she would always meet me at the door when I arrived home from work. What I was never aware of was after my mom passed away, my father came to live with me and he told me that Mocha would sit by the front door crying for me for about 20min when I left for work in the morning, that broke my heart 😢

Grandma (or Granny) is just such a beautiful word of love. Some of my absolute favorite moments are when I drive up (or the kids get here) and I hear the excited shout of "Grannyyyyy!!!" And I love having other kids call me that too. DNA is not required.

My Grandchildren call me Grams and Gramsie. Last Sunday, my 7 year old grandson decided he was going to call me his Fancy Gramsie. Too funny because I am definitely not fancy.😂🤣

Today our younger daughter came over with her 2 daughters (ages 11 and 7), so they could spend some belated birthday time with me. For the most part, it was a good visit and we did a little painting craft, then went and got ice cream. But to be brutally honest, it’s tough being around the 7 year old. She gets in these pouty moods when things aren’t going exactly as she’d like, and there is no talking with her or hugging her to try and get her out of the mood. She’s hard to be around and I don’t think she’s had enough guidelines or boundaries. She ruins a fun time really quickly and I can’t stand to be around her when she’s like that. I don’t know how my daughter keeps her cool. I’ve never told anyone about this because frankly it’s embarrassing to admit that you don’t enjoy being with one of your grandkids. I don’t know what if anything I can do about it except to pray for a miracle. Yes, I’ve talked to my daughter many times about it, saying she needs some type of behavioral management or counseling. If anyone else has experienced this, I would be most appreciative of hearing how you dealt with it. Sorry to be a Debbie Downer…..😥

I had my crochet group at the library yesterday, I never knew I would enjoy that so much, but I really do! We just started a night one also, but I've only gone to the night one once. It's just so fun to sit around with other women that love yarn & crocheting too. We all admire each other's projects & just talk about all sorts of stuff. I love it! Glad you get to one too❤
Kittys are very under rated. Mine is very snuggly when he wants to be. He also plays fetch. Cats can be every bit as cuddly and playful as any dog. My cat makes me laugh every day. He's a ginger tabby and they are known for being clowns. My cat that I lost last year followed me every where including the bathroom. He always greated me when I came home.

I think its the sweetest thing that he calls you Grandma! I have one grandbaby and she calls me Nana. 😊 I have 3 cats and my one old man cat is obsessed with me. Very attached and I wish , at times, he would disconnect from the mother ship! Also, I have never understood the idea of crocheting fast. To me, going slower and "meditating' on stitches is very cathartic. I am not in a hurry to finish cause who needs that kind of pressure. Currently I am working on an amigurumi Gabby doll from a kids tv show called Gabby's Dollhouse. My grand baby loves the show and rather than buying her a doll for her upcoming birthday I decided to crochet one. She asked for it and according the the Nana Code Handbook it has to be done.
I work during the week. However wanted to let you know about my cat. He is every bit as loyal, caring and protective as my dog. His name is Angus. A funny thing he does. He'll hear a delivery truck, trash truck or a neighbor pull up to the curb. He could be in the kitchen, make a full run to the front window where my office is and Growl at whomever. It's the funniest thing.
Have you seen the black barking cat on youtube? Look up barking cat. He is on the basement window sill then gets caught ,looks embarrassed abd changes back to a meow! It's hilarious. Your cat sounds like a mess! Lol😊
I'll have to look for that cat! Yes, mine is a mess. He also likes to ambush his dog brother. The one in my profile picture. He's a whopping 8 lb Silky Terrier. When he's shaved, Angus the cat is bigger. 😆 They wrestle like brothers too. I've never had a cat & dog combo that blend so well together.

No real plans for this week. It has been raining off and on for nearly an hour with thunder. I am very thankful as it has not rained here in a good while. Yards had gotten crunchy. Fire hazard was high,plus very high temps. Hope to go to one place tomorrow to look for sandals. If I am up to it. The heat just exacerbates my dermatological problems. The itching has been terrible this week. It is so hard not to scratch but I know it just makes it worse. Please pray it calms down,as I have other chronic illnesses and this makes it even harder as you know. I am so happy you can drive. I can’t and it is a very hard to adjust. I miss that freedom to go when you feel up to it. I am blessed though with a loving husband and son. Thanks for sharing your life with us. God Bless
When you have an accident that changes your life you really have to make a change in what you can do. I fell last September and broke my pelvis and it was over a week later when I was up and trying to walk with therapy. It was almost another 2 weeks later that I finally was able to move my legs on my own when getting in and out of bed. Now I have to watch what I do and not do but I just keep going. I am able to move again but not like I use to. ❤️😊😊🐈⬛🐈⬛🐈⬛🌺🌺🌺

My cat is the very same way. Not the exact same way, as fits go! My cat follows me from room to room. 23:03 When I go to the bathroom she follows me and stands guard until I come out. She wakes me up to give her breakfast. Never heard her scream. Maybe thinks you are abandoning her. You are home most of the time and Big Daddy is the opposite. Just reassure her that she will always be with you! Over time she will get more self assured and get better. Give her a Big Hug from me!😅❤😅❤😂❤😂❤😂❤

The hats looking good! I had to run errands today and I went out wearing my cat ear beanie. While waiting in a queue a girl came up and complimented it, she said 'I love your hat! Where did you buy it?' and I tell you, it felt so good to say 'I made it'. That little interaction really boosted my mood! Its the second hat i've had complimented, I dont think i'll ever stop making and wearing them. Sending hugs🌻

That was a big hurricane and it is still on the move!
Suggestion on selling what you could do is have a 3 loom bundle, 4 loom, 5 loom, just circle looms just square etc and the buyer can choose the size from an option menu . I think etsy tracks what is in inventory when you set up so automatically changes the options available. That is less headache for you, just the set up.
Sassy is a sweetie, and cats do get attached to people and it might not be the owner either. Though they act independent if you are not feeling well or there are storms they will keep right by your side. I notice that holding a cat petting it helps make you feel better. They are very smart, I bet as soon as she sees you get in the car or hears the car motor she knows you are going out and then waits for your return, no screams. She might still be sensitive about you being out of sight because of your recent fall.

Have several different size boxes and list as groupings. Make it easy for you. I know it makes you sad that you can't use them anymore 😪 but, I'm sure there are probably a number of people that would love to have some and being that they are yours, makes them special. 🥰

It's nice when kids like you. I like your hat and sweater. I have this cotton macramé cord; I didn't know they do with, so I am making my son a mat for this apartment entrance. I am also making a market bag by Juan the yarn addict; all I have to do is the trim on the handles, but I've taken a break today to try to reorganize and purge some of my things as I have too much. Love the hat. Looks like a great southern summer hat....Meaning not sweat producing. And as nasty as it sounds, cotton will soak up sweat and then wash out. Im one of then old women who ties on a bandana to keep sweat dripping in my face...not fashionable but sensible. In the south, no a/c, I just go with it. But your hat is a beautiful alternative.

I like the strap you are wearing to hold your crochet hook. I really give people like you a lot of credit for the ideas you come up with to do your crafts. I know a lady here that wears one of those braces on her arm and wrist that she somehow sticks a crochet hook or knitting needle it. Depending what she’s doing. However she has all her fingers. She had a wrist injury. Also my sister is ina care home because she’s blind and she knits. I am so thankful for all my fingers and my eyesight.
