Fury won. Easy. 3 possible scores. And out of all them it’s a draw once. Fury wins by 3 points once. Or fury wins by 1 point. You can make the case for a 4th score and Usyk wining by 1 point but that’s a very bad score. I rewatched the fight slowly.
Rounds 7, 11 and 12 are the X factors. Bad decision at the end. Unbiased score. Rematch is gonna be spectacular.
A lot of rounds were tied. In boxing when a round is tied you score it 10 points a guy. When someone wins a round they get 10 and the other 9. When you score a knockdown is 10 points for the winner of the round and 8 for the loser of the round. If there’s two knockdowns by the same person, depending on how bad, you can give the loser a 7 and the winner a 10. Fury for 8 in round 9.

Fury didn’t lose that fight. They gave that boy flowers for being the only small fighter to rock Fury besides Wilder. And a knocked down ruled on 9 was perfect. You can’t stop the fight when the man is still standing. Specially after you know how he can recover and get up. He was moving. He wasn’t throwing because he was trying to run away and also catch a breath but instead he caught it them hands. It’s not his fault he’s built like a tank and just won’t go down easily. That’s on Usyk. A little more power and maybe. And a couple more seconds and we would’ve been on the canvas. I wish the ref would’ve let that happen rather than the count down he did, because that would’ve made it harder on Fury to get up in time. But a stoppage would’ve been horrendous so I’m glad it didn’t happen.

If he was concentrated rather than entertaining he would’ve won without a question but he had to be in his A game the whole fight not just a few rounds. I scored it Usyk winning the first 3, Tyson the next 3, and Uysk the rest. Uysk landed way more than Tyson, dominated more rounds than Tyson, and won fair and square. He got knocked down twice in the Wilder fight and got a draw which he and most fans thought he won to be fair. A single knockout doesn't decide the fight.
That’s literally the refs job. No ref worth his salt will stand idly by and watch a fighter who isn’t in a position to continue boxing take damage. Fighter safety is a ref’s biggest priority. It trumps the outcome of a fight. The ref did a perfect job. You don’t need to go down to get a count. He wasn’t going to watch him take damage in that situation. He could have called the fight, but he made the right call. As evidenced by what happened after.
Sorry but the safety of the fighter is more important than you wanting to see someone get knocked out. This is an S class referee, the highest classification of referee.
The knockdown won Usyk the fight and was factored into the scoresheets. Upon review which happens with every ref after every fight they will tell him he did a great job. Because he did.
You clearly never fought a day in your life. Much less know boxing.
The only things Usyk have better than Tyson is discipline and endurance by a little bit. Tyson is the best since Lenox.

The ref did a perfect job. Fighter safety trumps everything. No ref worth his salt would stand idly by and watch a fighter take damage who’s in no position to continue boxing.

@@hl954if it appears the ropes prevent a knock down then you do what the ref did. It’s common and a rule. If anything the first big hit couldn’t have warranted a count because he fell into the ropes and clearly would have went down.

It wasn't the case 15 seconds later. Tyson lost his legs and was in daze that whole time. It was a clear TKO.
