Your prices sound more than reasonable based on what I see on Ebay and the vintage bikes to be had at one Maryland bike shop (which shall go nameless).
The Atala is the Competizione model, which was the next model down from the Professional that year. I believe the frames of both models were essentially the same, right down to the geometry. The seat pin was originally just an aluminum tube with a standard saddle clamp, which is no doubt why the Laprade is on there. It's rare to see one this original. The three divots in the top of the saddle are due to the fact that it's essentially a plastic Unicanitor with a thin leather covering stretched over it. The plastic saddle has the three holes, and I've noticed them showing in the leather covering on every one of these saddles I've ever seen--even when they were brand new. I believe the original saddle would have been a full-leather model, and all the other Competiziones I have seen had Universal 61 centerpulls, but this was during the Bike Boom and substitutions were quite common. The shift levers are Valentinos, while the derailleurs are Nuovo Record, but the previous year the bike came with the Gran Tourismo boat anchor, so it's not surprising to see the mismatch.

I remember that! Heard about it, then saw one toasted at a crit race. Glad I was on my Cinelli. @@JohnsVintageRoadBikeGarage
I had a friend who got doored in Madison on his. The head tube broke but the so called “death fork” was fine. As was the front wheel. The frame took the hit. Go figure.
does the '76 colnago super have tubular or clinchers?
@@hutchy_4297 tubulars
Ochsner has Campagnolo Triomphe. ❤Lotus but too big for me.
Thanks. Im putting a Victory rear der on it for better adjustability
@@JohnsVintageRoadBikeGarage I’d keep the group complete as is. Although the Victory can run a 30t if desired.
@@billmaidment if you see the video I did on this bicycle, you'll see that the driller is reluctant to bring the chain to the smallest cog in the rear. The rear derailleur sits upright and the pulley is too far back. There is no adjustment on the triumph derailleur for that. However, there is an adjustment on the victory. The owner of this bicycle will get both derailles
@@JohnsVintageRoadBikeGarage I saw that but I can’t explain why it does that.
Where do you get your wood wall mount bike racks?
@@jimbooth324 That's basic 1x3 oak
@@JohnsVintageRoadBikeGarage - so you make them yourself?
@@jimbooth324 Yes. They are pretty durable, however some of them cracked because the pilot holds for the screws were not big enough.
@JohnsVintageRoadBikeGarage thanks for your answer and tip.
Getting a devours are we?
??
I'd like to buy one of your bikes but they all look too big for me.
My uncle is a Prince in Zimbabwe and wants to transfer $50,000 in to your account. We just need all of your bank account info! 😂
JK, good luck with the sales!
LOL! Thats the second prince that wanted to buy all of them today!
Sorry, I like smaller frames.
Yup. All mine are pretty tall!
Thank you for the "Click Bait" warning now I'll say good bye.
Good bye.
Click bait - its a freak out. Thunderbird is Shimano. I sent a friend a text. I am seriously considering a number of you bikes
Great Mark, Remember, im not shipping them. Email me with the address that you'll find at the top of my TH-cam channel page. Then I'll forward you my phone number. Thanks
Try and pronounce his name like this! PAOLO GUERCIOTTI (SAY IT QUICKLY) GOO WHERE CHOTTY Understand? ;-)
That makes zero sense-No shipping - but Four hours of driving time - cost - time effort- doesn’t pencil out .. ( so it must be “ hands on , I’ll buy it … correct ???.. cash is easy- , to have no problems with people saying there’s a mark ???
@@reserva120 I'll only drive the 4 hours for the more expensive bikes. Selling bicycles are a hassle. I'm not in a hurry to sell them. I don't have to sell them. Slow and easy is better than fast and a pain in the butt LOL
Very, very hard to watch John.
The camera moves around so fast, zooms in & out etc. that I can't focus in on anything before it's gone.
Pity that I had to cut out at 5.45 as I would have liked to have seen it.
What cut out at 5:45?
😲😲😲🫢🫢
Don't sell the salmon (rose) Colnago!
It was a tough decision. But I have to make room and get some doh for bikes that fit me!
What?!?!?!? Selling???
Just a few
You're going through a difficult divorce?
@@ricgl84 lol.. if you watch the full video, you'll know why I'm selling some bikes
Jeez you make a nice video and get a comment like that. WTH.
Oh no, John selling these master pieces is terrible. You do not ship, who cares, as a matter of fact I don not care.
I'm selling some masterpieces to buy other masterpieces.
Damn some great prices I must say! What do you think a "good" condition Lotus Super Pro Aero would go for these days? Such a rare bike it's hard to understand valuation of it.
"SOME".....................hahahahaaaaaa clickbait INDEED !!!!
