It is impossible speaking with a doctor in the states! In Mexico I can speak with my doctor anytime via WhatsApp. One night I was having a problem and contacted my doctor via WhatsApp. While share my symptoms etc… my doctor headed to my home for a house call! I was shocked 😮 This would never happen anywhere else I have ever lived!!!
That's the truth. We love being able to speak with DRs directly here. So refreshing to not be treated just as a customer
When we travel to Mexico, we are always amazed of the outstanding service, the presentation and the quantity of the food. Eating out is more than just eating. It is a time for families and/or friends to talk and enjoy quality time. Additionally, the ambience and the events no matter where you go always draws a lot of people.
That's for sure. It's usually much more of an experience, no matter what level of place you go to
IM GLAD BOTH OF U ARE HAPPY IN MEXICO. UN ABRAZO LOUI Y A TU ESPOSA. MY WIFE IS ALSO ASIAN( FILIPINA MIX JAPAN ) UN ABARZO A LOS 2 !!
We really are. Thank you for your kind words
But daycare does seem expensive at $800.00 US dollars. Wow, I paid $150 US in Tijuana at the border, private school, full time per month from 7am- 6pm, food included! Yes, $150. per month, also included yoga classes, chess classes, bilingual education, and clean made from scratch food! The insurance included and when my son got injured outside of the school campus and I had to take him to the ER for stitches, the school paid for EVERYTHING!
$800 was for outside of Houston, which was actually pretty good, as compared to inside of Houston, but $150 is great! We pay 5k pesos, which is about $270 USD
Great topic. We are Americans that retired 3 years ago in Costa Rica. Everything has gone up in these 3 years too. Still affordable if you live like a local and buy groceries at our farmers market and we cook at home. We both don't drink alcohol either so we save on that too. Our lives are great here however the prices are hiking in all Countries but not as expensive as USA! Costa Ricans don't want to hear about American politics!! We love that because we left our American lifestyles behind when we moved here to Costa Rica. We love Mexico and want to come visit again soon
I’ve lived here in Mexico for 23 years; it’s definitely cheaper than the US (which is really out of control), but maybe it’s time to move to Thailand because Mexico is getting more and more expensive.
that for sure. we talked about that part of the world before. just not the best option now, but who knows what the fuerte holds
Yes, please. Move to Thailand!
@@csaracho2009I’m Mexican. I’ll move from my country, Mexico, if and when I choose, not when some dildo says to. Now get lost. 😂
Renting right now in Atlanta is around $2,000, insurance for my house $1,200, taxes of my house $3,500
Electricity between $150 - $300 depending the whether
Gasoline between $50-$70
Health insurance $150 3 people
Groceries $150-$200
Cable $70
Internet $50
Eat out maybe one's a moth
Car insurance $675, 6 months
And probably I'm forgetting more things
Thanks for sharing your experience. We appreciate learning about other areas cost of living.
I have questions on electricity, gas, health insurance and groceries.
You are going to feel a big big! Different in the next 3 years, Mexico it’s getting better and better, thrust me! Mexico it’s going to grow a lot!
Dude rent in a hillbilly town in Idaho here is $1600-$2000 for a house and if you want to live in town it’s $2400 to $3500 per month a burrito is $15 to $18
the burrito price rocks and plus a drink. For that rent, you live like a king here.
If I could afford to live in mexico I would. But my husband job is here in California. Plus my home gives me rental income. So for time being, we'll just continue to make trips to 🇲🇽. You're very blessed! Take care and God bless
Bienvenidos amigos welcome!!
Thank you! Are you from PV?
With all the crazies in the U.S nowadays, I'm sure you have no regrets....
Yes, we're living it so far! Thanks for watching🌴🌞
Hi Roddy and Laney (Hi Landy, my wife and I talked to you a few ago when you were walking your dog on the beach), thanks for the video. We own a place in PV, and agree with much of what you said. We can’t wait to move down full-time in just a couple of years.
Yeah it was very nice meeting you 2 at the beach. Thanks for watching our videos and wrote to us.
In San Diego CA, is so difficult to afford but about anything, specially rent , it’s just crazy
You don’t have to answer, but what do you do for a living to be able to live in Mexico..I’m searching for work from home so we can move there. Thank you
The short answer is real estate.
Se los ve increible! Saludos a Louis 😊
You both look fitter and healthier. 👍🏼 Does she lift weights everyday? 🙂
We definitely are. Landy doesn't lift, but light core workout, walking, less calorie intake, and great genes! I lift more and started taking Muay Thai with Louie.
Good video, thanks😊!
Glad you liked it and hope to continue to bring useful content.
I see a very smart lady and husband team.
Thank you. We're glad you enjoyed our episode!
How do you deal with not drinking the water, taking a shower or taking a bath?
By drinking water, taking showers
The neighboring city 30 minutes from me in Washington state it’s full of homeless people women should not try walking by their at night the homeless problem is bad all tweaked out
oh...no... that's not good..
Any thoughts on exploring Argentina? Mexico seemed a bit pricey. Groceries were cheaper, but any imported goods were more than in Canada.
@happyslave6783 We've briefly spoken about it, but it is very far. Much further than we, and probably others realize. the climate seems nice and there is a pretty favorable exchange rate though, but i can imagine how much any imported goods costs there
Its obvious…..
No words need to be said
So how you make your living, what king of job you do in Mexico ?
the short answer is real estate
@@dreamlifeinMexico ok you guys invested in real estate in Mexico or USA ?

Ok, we're the problem. 🤣
You cause that the prices go higher for the locals and displace us, and you laugh? Only the gringos care about their self
But to live in relative safety in Mexico, you have to be trapped in an expat/tourist enclave like San Miguel de Allende, Puerto Vallarta, Playa del Carmen, Ajijic, etc. On the other hand, public education in Mexico, especially elementary, is among the worst in the world and parents who can afford it send their kids to private school.
That's a pretty big over generalization as far as where to live. Are there some very unsafe places to live? I don't think anybody would deny that, but there are lots of people who would disagree that you have to live in an expat heavy enclave. As far as education goes, yeah or still has a ways to go, luckily, for those who can afford it private scholls are extremely more affordable than the neighbors to the north.
That is simply not true that only these areas are safe. How safe do you feel in the USA? Mass shootings, school shooting, strangers stabbing and punching people out of nowhere, daylight store robberies... thousands of camping homeless people in the streets, visibly mentally ill and drug addicts, feces on the street.... you WILL NOT find these in MX.
Please tell us where you get this information. My children received a few years of excellent public education in Guadalajara. Much more advanced than the U.S.
@@471CDA The OECD ranked Mexico dead last in education among its members and a british publication ranked Mexico's public education among the very worst in the entire world. Look it up on the internet. I'm Mexican and I can tell you for a fact that my teachers were absent often while I attended primary school. Millions of us were and continue to be robbed of a quality education because our "teachers" are both unqualifed and absent. The corrupt teachers' union vehemently opposes education reform and many parents are completely unengaged in their children's education.
Ilegal emigrantes. Not expats not digital nomads. That is the way you call Mexas on USA.
🤣🤣 the only ones that are called illegal are the ones that are there illegally. the rest are called immigrants, residents, and even citizens.
