I came to PV for years, and finally bought a condo in 2007. Spend 6 months every year. The people are very special in this little town. Of course the locals are fantastic, but the tourists and expats are also great. Everyone loves and protects PV like the jewel it is. I’ve never seen anyone that didn’t love this place.
Very nice! We can't wait for the next high season to fully enjoy it! Agreed, all the people here are fantastic! Salt, based on some comments, not everyone feels the same about PV, but more for us to enjoy😎🌴
PV 💯
Moving there in 3-5 years
Been going yearly for 40 years
wow good for you! 😇
Thanks for the breakdown guys. Great videos. I was thinking of moving to Cabo. Been there many times. However might rethink locations after watching this video.
Thank you Again!
Glad we could be of help. Cabo is great too, just need to do what is best for your situation
I visited Jalisco this week, its great, air is great, and sooo much more affordable
Where in the state did you go? The food of Jalisco is super! 🥩🫕🍤
You guys should check out playa novillero in nayarit
Ok, sounds like somewhere we need to look into. Thanks for the recommendation!🌴😎
Hello guys, so glad to see you enjoying life in Puerto Vallarta. Landy, love your haircut, you look beautiful.
Thank you 😊😊😊
I agree with Landy 😂 give me warm any day 😅
yeah love tropical weather!
lol you guys 👍, I like a lot of the first hand info ℹ️ , thank you both very much for sharing, enjoy MÉXICO 🇲🇽 with your lovely kids too 🫶🏻😊
Great video. We've kind of ruled out Mexico partly due to cost of residency fee. But we still watch your videos and appreciate your insights. Never considered PV before, but have a much greater respect for it now. Thanks to you both. 👍😊
Agreed, residency is getting more and more expensive. I think we got in at the right time. Thank you for your support!
👍😊❤
Okay, need to come there!! Great video!
Yes! Thank you!
Although I lived in Mexico many years long ago, things are different in the places I liked. It’s become more like the USA. I’m a Spanish speaker and don’t feel entirely comfortable in expat communities. In the end, Spain is more to my liking, but not necessarily in Las Palmas or Barcelona, where I used to live. It’s just very far for my husband. We will explore more places in Mexico before deciding
We considered Spain, for a moment, but Mexico suited us for family and our business. Good luck in your search for a home! 😁
I’m glad you guys like my country
Thank you! We love it here in Mexico!
Wait until summer, the heat and humidity is unbearable!!
yeah we know, we stayed whole summer month there.
Did you go to the Zona Dorada part of Mazatlán? There you would definitely find younger people. Also, further north in Playa Cerritos, it's beautiful. That's what I love about Mazatlán. You have something for everyone; the Old Historic Centre, to the more night life Zona Dorada, to the peaceful beaches of Cerritos. Not to mention the longest Malecon in all of North America! 😊
We really enjoyed Mazatlan. we stayed in Cerritos area, beautiful beaches that way and further north and passed by and hung out in the golden zone many an evening! 😀
Great well presented info, as usual with you guys. I've been to all those towns and vallarta, bucerias, san pancho are my favorite beach areas in mexico as well, where the lush mountains meet the sea.
You look happy, look forward to more continued good content, gracias!
Thanks Dave! San Pancho was great last time we visited. We're definitely heading that way again in the near future!
Landy, your hair looks great. Both of you look very happy. We are from Austin, Tx and we have been to PV once and we loved it. The variety of coffee shops, tacos, and restaurants around the Versalles area is amazing. The people are very friendly also.
Thank you! Glad you also enjoyed Puerto Vallarta!
We love the hot season there. And the lightning at night. And less tourists. Been PV is our second home for 25 yrs.
Wow! I'm sure you've seen it change quite a bit then?
Wow!!! Queretaro, then back to Houston, Mexico City and now Puerto Vallarta, are you finally settled at least for a couple of years?
lol let's see. So far we like PV a lot.
will wait for another episode " Why we moving to .... " . Too strange to leave Mexico city for PV
maybe. you never know. 😎 the power of freedom
As A Mexican from Jalisco I do prefer Cancun. The beach and Water are so much better than PV
You should connect with "More Life Diaries" as they have young ones in school/daycare in PV.
Great video! Didn't know about the lay lines, maybe that is what keeps drawing me to PV😊. Wasn't always sold on it as it is touristy, but I keep coming back and am buying a new build condo!
I love them too !
Congratulations on your move, can you talk about the moving and the cost. Pluses and minuses. Landy mentioned you use a different company from the one you used from QRO to CDMX! Louie looks happier!
Moving cost is not cheap. We paid in us dollar to that company to reduce the tax charge. Abt over 2000 USD for moving fee and 9000 pesos for packing materials like boxes and tapes etc. they did a very detailed wrapping job for everything. Packing materials fee is way much than we expected.
Very interested in PV, but the cost of housing seems to have skyrocketed!
yeah look for lease in slow season and you get more options.
How cool had no idea your family made a new move! Congrats 🥳
I hear about high electric bills there. Hopefully not in your case 🤞
Thanks! Hopefully we don't get hit that bad, but only time will tell.🔥🔥🔥
Great choice of place to live! We live in SoCal. and have vacationed in Puerto Vallarta now nine times. We got married in P.V. in December 2022 and going back this December.
How awesome!😎 We loved it so much too, that's why we moved here. 🌴🌞
Thank you for the great video. I am looking to move to Mexico in the next year or so. Focused on PV but everyone talks about how terrible the heat is making me a little nervous. I'm from New Orleans, its 34, 35, 36 with 80 percent humidity. PV does look that bad.
Exactly I'm from TX, McAllen originally and Houston before our move to Mexico. I think most people who complain about the heat never grew up in the South. I mean, we're not in the bad part of summer yet, but I constantly here people talking about how bad it is now. In my opinion, they're crazy, I still think it's pretty nice, especially with the rainy season upon us, it's 29 right now but feels pretty cool afyer the shower we just had. Come here and visit during the summer/fall and see how you feel.
Love the hair. Puerto Vallarta is on my list.
My cousins live there. I'm thinking of moving there also
We don't think you'd regret it, but visit first for an extended time. Maybe even consider coming during the hot and rainy season to see if you could make it. I think that's the biggest killer for most people. ☀️🌨️🌞⛈️
What about the drinking water, is it safe or must you drink bottled water?
In whole Mexico, tap water isnt drinkable.
What do you guys do for a living
Mange rental properties
Can you do a video of good food in Puerto Vallarta❓
I think we'll definitely have to do one. Have you been to PV, any places you'd suggest?
@@dreamlifeinMexico i would like to visit soon 😀
You are correct, Huatulco and Puerto Escondido are strict tourist towns; they are small and not as lively as Puerto Vallarta.
Yeah We have never been there but just from the reseach, they feels like small towns...
weather is horrible now , and during the summer season u will regret about this decision to move here )
you ever been to Texas? we're not worried about the heat. 🤣
First :)
We couldn’t stand the sewage flooding the streets in the rainy season. The sewage smell is everywhere. So hot in summer. Food is not as good as in other parts.
Too touristy.
Constant bothering on the beaches.
Not for us🥲
Which city/town in Mexico you prefer?
Cost a fortune to get temporary residence now. 6100. for Canadian or invest in property and not too many retired people have that.
We heard you can also go to the us to apply for Residence.
@@dreamlifeinMexico Who wants to live there!
@@sallylee6934 seems like lots of people do 😀
@@dreamlifeinMexico If I had to choose I would stay in Canada. I just think that the Mexican government should rethink the amount to get into a more permanent residency cause it's a lot of money needed when you are on pension.
