Made this for my sons “Hole in ONE” birthday party and called them PAR-faits. They were a huge hit and everyone couldn’t believe it when they asked where I ordered them from and I told them I made them!
What a beautiful idea! But....Looking at the ingred serving 8, my guess is it might be pricey. I'd also think one to 2...maybe 3 days in fridge. What about incorporating this idea into a rehearsal dinner instead and carrying the theme over to the wedding with whole, not sliced, so they dont leak strawberry topped white cupcakes?
I made these last night and they were delish! And so simple to put together. But.. we had two portions spare and when we had them today, they were yummy but the biscuit component was no longer crispy. So I reckon you could easily make the components a day or two ahead but you'd have to assemble max an hour before serving if you wanted your guests to enjoy the texture.
Well, now I'm ready for dessert. "Easy to make" is always good. I will definitely give this a try. I think this will be my and my mom's dessert this weekend. 😊
This definitely is the cheesecake recipe I grew up with, except in a pie plate and yours is cut down so much more. I will definitely makes these darling parfaits for probably Sunday dinner dessert. Yum!! Thanks, Sara!! Oh, and this works really well with pie filling too, such as cherry or blueberry!
This looks so amazing!!! Do you think this would work in a trifle type glass pan for a group? If so, do you think it would be best to double the recipe?
Hi Stefania! You can definitely try this in a larger pan, but just remember that the killing won't completely firm up so it won't come out in slices! This recipe currently makes 8 servings, so you may want to increase the recipe to fill the pan!
Wondering if I assembled these in a different format will they last longer? Graham cracker on the bottom followed by cream cheese layer and topped with strawberries… will that give these parfaits an extra day in the fridge overnight? I’d love to assemble them a day ahead but don’t want them soggy (crust).
Quick question: If you add sugar to the strawberries to offset the tartness they have, wouldn't adding lemon juice re-introduce the tartness you're trying to reduce? Just doesn't make sense to me, unless I'm missing something.
The lemon juice adds a freshness to the strawberries then adding sugar will offset the tart from strawberries and the lemon juice. You ever have lemonade it's kinda like strawberry lemonade the flavors all complement each other.
I was thinking of making something similar but with baked cheesecake. Like baking it and scooping it into the cups with layers. Would that work? Just looking for the best flavor
Love they way you dress, your kitchen doesnt look like it has any choas factors ,but im a single man , and i would like to know how to cook meals, that keeps you full and keeps away from getting fat .
Will also add fresh Blueberries to this. Yum!!
