Thanks Graham. I started to mess about with engine to just amuse myself, but in the end it turned into a bit of a project which took longer than anticipated. The wheeled escape ladder took up a lot of time. Hope to see you soon. Ed
They actually had an old ship. I was the first volunteer thinking I would be the body but they put me in charge 🤣 they stuck a fake body on the lower deck and then set a fire. It was mint. We also did the smoke house, that is super cool you have to get a long ladder round a really messed up course in pitch black, then someone screams gas gas gas and you have to get your apparatus on and get out! 100% would recommend.
Really nice Ed, Love the working bell, I like the subtle brass bits at the front too. Looks like a lot of work.

Well thought out Ed. Excellent model. Keep it up, really like your content
Thanks, will do!
You have been very busy Ed. Some well thought out modifications made, the brass radiator cowl certainly improves the front of the engine. Well done !
Thanks for the kind words Howard. In particular I'm pleased you like the brass radiator cowl as I was unsure that it added very much. Ed
Thanks Ed. Its always the little detail things that make the difference, its certainly a unique model now.@@edwinwhite933
That's ace dad. The ladder ratio is 4 to 1. I've done that course too with the fire brigade, it was great fun! Gas gas gas!!!
Did u have to retrieve a fireman playing 'dead' in the smoke filled chaos tunnel like I did?

Sounds very similar to my experience except we had a real live fireman to rescue - poor chap. Trust he recovered!
