- Hi friends!! Today I’m showing you how to easily assemble granny square pants! These pants are an ICONIC, 70s style statement piece for your wardrobe. I have wanted to make them for ages now and I finally just sat down, crocheted the granny squares, and figured out how to easily assemble them. I also decided to film the process for you guys, my incredible friends, so you can learn how to make them for yourself!! And I can’t wait for us all to be strutting around in the literal cutest pants EVER. ☮️🌈🍄✨🌿
Thank you guys for watching, love you all so much!! :)
(for updates on his handmade crochet blocking boards, go to my husband’s Etsy, JandHCarpentry 💫🍄)
This is the first pair I saw that didn't have the weird one square in the right in the crotch, front, and center, lol. Ty!
This the only video I found that helps me put my pants together I was legit paying attention your voice made me felt like I was in school again I was like oh OK yes ma'am 😂🤦🏽♀️
Hannah, this is so pretty 🌈😍 I wanted to ask if you could ever film a room tour or another vlog, that would be so sweet because I would love to see what a day in your life looks like 🐛🧿🌸
I love your tutorials ! They are so clear and well thought out. I recently made the star blanket from your star video and I definitely want to try these out !
weeee I've been wanting to make some of these forever as well!! but I also got scared by the sheer amount of granny squares and color switching etc. >_< but seeing you do it makes me feel like I can too, thanks for the motivation :3 I hope to make some soon!!
Thank you so much for responding, i thought that was how she was doing it but wasn't 100% sure thank you again for responding

5.0 mm hook!! I think i’m a little late lmao
I just found your channel and I love it! Love the vibe 🌺 I was intimidated by the granny square duster for months but I did it and I’m ready to take on the pants!
tyy!! ive been wanting to make these for a while and your tutorial was easy to follow and now i have some new pants!
i’m soo excited!!! i want to see them when they’re done!!! 🥹🫶🏼🌈🌞🌿
these pants are so cute! how many skeins did this project take?
Hi! Can you tell me how much yarn did you use? In grams pls🥲
Love these! Colors are especially right!!
In my dreams.....do i wish i could make this!! 🤣 ❤❤❤
You can ❤
I made nickers on my Sentro. I totally need to make these now. They are super cute ❤️
Please I asked in a previous video what yarn and what amount you used for the Maxi skirt
even though the way i do my granny squares and magic circles are different this was so helpful thank you
Just cant get over of how pretty you are)
But my question is: do you have plans of making grannysquare jacket?
My mom want such jacket, but I cant get together my knowlege of crocheting with squares, even though I made numbers of blankets, pillows and such
Just cant put my mind into how to make clothes out of it
How much yarn would you say you ended up using for this size pants? :) a friend wants me to make them some for festival season and I’m unsure how much yarn I need to grab!
Please help😢😊 i am a size 2 how many rolls do you think I should make?
I am going to try and make some shorts before I crocheting the pants
I can do this method of sewing the pants for shorts?
Does anyone know if you can do the granny squares with just one color? 😊
yes you can! you just skip the color changing :) they will look pretty in one color too!
@@michezkr thanks for the answer!
If you’re doing the chain 4 instead of MR, do you chain 2 before starting the double crochet in the magic ring or do you only do the chain 2 you displayed in the video (after doing the first two DC)?
the chain four is just like doing the magic circle, so you would join to make a ring, and then continue on with the steps in the video (after i made my magic circle)
How much yarn is needed? The yarn you use is limited edition so i need the exact number 😅😅
What if my waist measurements come out to 5 squares and my hip measurements come out to 8 squares ? How do I go about stitching those together
did you ever get a reply to this? im in the same boat with the pants im making. 7 squares for waist and 5 each for legs
I think it depends on distance between the waist and the hips and how many granny squares it needs lengthwise, if you have room for one more row maybe you could increase with 6 or seven, otherwise you could switch the waistband for something stretchy (like a ribbed edge?) in the same dominant colour
You can begin from the hip to attach the squares and rather than using the 5 squares at the waist, you can use a double crochet stitch or granny stitch. So basically your granny squares can begin from your waist.
Maybe you can use a smaller or bigger hook and yarn to create smaller or bigger squares. Then maybe you can finagle it, so that you need an even amount of squares to fit in the legs and hips?
I was wondering, do I weave in the ends?? Or just leave it like that??
Weave in the ends. I hate weaving in ends so I hide them as I crochet.
did you weave in your ends?
LOVE THESE!!!
thank you love 🥹🥹🫶🏼
Are they machine washable or do I have to wash them by hand? (Btw I love those)
How long does it take you to crochet that number?
Hi! Not sure if you’ll ever see this or not, I followed your crochet pattern for granny square pants, and even measured everything on my husband. But for some reason, I just can’t figure out how to assemble these pants. Everything is so uneven, I’m not sure what to do. 😩
I have found out and way to have smaller holes inside the granny squares
Perfectly for me
How long did this take everyone?
Can you make a tutorial on how to make a cardigan out of squares?
Merci pour votre partage. 😊
I KNEW IT WAS PANTS!!!!!!!
YOU WERE RIGHT
The crotch of my pants wont hold up no matter what i do to try to fix it does anyone know how i might be able to?
What do you mean it won't hold up? Does the sewing come undone?
@@gingerft.honeybees4097 yea the sewing comes undone. I think it might be due to the fact that my thigh area is sewed a bit tight, but the pants are totally together and end are weaved in so im not sure how to go about fixing it
I'm fully deaf and American sign languages
I'm addict crocheting
I will be starting next week make a pant
I love it so many ch.
I'll making ng KC Chiefs!?????
excellent , very clear explanation
ok i am really confused because you are not explaining how to determine how many squares are need. are you saying we take our waist measurement and divided by 5. PLEASE YOU ARE SOMEONE PLEASE EXPLAIN
So it is dependent on the size of the square you are making. Her squares came out to 5x5 inches so for the number of squares around the waist you would take your waist measurement and divide by the size of your square (ex. 40”/5”=8 squares). You would do this for each part-waist row, hip row, and for each leg. Then add all the squares together and that’s your total. Hope this helps 💜
Commenting so i can come back after i block my granny squares! Is anybody else doing the skull granny square pants?
I started mine last week, 6 squares in and I am already bored of it T-T
Girl same!! But I persevered. I made the daisy squares instead and found that if I made each part at a time for each square, it went a lot faster and less boring. I made the MR first, all of them. Then made the round of petals on all of them, and so on. Oh, and I also worked over my ends as I went so I don’t have to weave them in at the end.
@Pixxelina I currently have 20 Squares without the ends weaved in. I think I should start weaving them now :") making each color at a time seems like a good idea!
Some of the repetitive talking definitely could've been editied out. I'm invested in seeing the finished product because I searched granny square pants. Not for a beginner rather to see the variation.
😮❤❤❤❤❤❤❤
Simple? 😂 😅
I love it, but i can't make this.
😭
i believe in you!!! 🥹🥹🫶🏼
