I really appreciate all your "practical glitching" videos. Once I finally figured out the cache glitch I've been using it for *everything.* The light tables on the ceiling trick is really cool too.
I wish I would have seen this video sooner because most of my mining bases have had either terrain or plants reappear even on the ones I have raised slightly above the ground. I love the simplicity and how it can be expanded. So I add more storage depots under the base and one more extractor so I can always get 2 plus stacks every 24 hours and I put in a square room between the power bank and storage depots for some hazard protection and nice place for 5 refineries. Oh and it’s all OSHA safe so if you ever finds one you won’t fall off the edge.
Very nice! Love your videos. I always get frustrated trying to align stuff so it looks half way decent - I'll check out the glitch video (shame you have to go to that effort). Happy holidays!
My farms are nowhere as nice as this 😂😂 but I go for atleast 9 extractors and then deposits to make it being picked up once every 24hrs for whenever I would need it. Working on the stasis device now and am almost ready 😁 nice videos 👍
excellent Thanks Dread! the only change I would make due to OCD...is hide the cloaking device inside one of the pillars...but it's perfect the way it is!
Even in the video at night they stopped working, if there is no biofuel reactor will they always stop working at night, even if u have a lot of batteries?
Thank you for the video. Im new to NMS and wondering can you portal into your mine if its off? If not, whats an easy way to find it again on the galaxy map?
Yep, you can portal to and use it any time you would like, the coordinates are here: nmsportals.github.io/#20EA02A1EC2F I'd recommend turning off multiplayer in your network settings before emptying the depot so it will remain full for other players, then you can turn it right back on. Hope you find it useful!
Nice design, will definitely try this! Is that 8750 per hour? Could you scale it up by doubling the power and adding another 3 extractors above the first?
It's 8750 total storage, and that's going to fill quicker depending on the class of the deposit. You can totally scale it up! Stack the depots out, add more extractors behind or above, and the power can be added to with more cuboids. Sky is the limit!
Is there some reason you built the whole mine structure so high up? I’m very new to the game so there might be a game mechanic I’m unaware of. This is how I will build my landing pads from now on, attached to a mine or not, looks awesome.
I build them off the ground because sometimes the terrain tends to shift and it can eat up parts of your base and get really irritating. The height of the extractor doesn't matter, so it can be helpful to elevate the base. Welcome in! Always happy to have new players!
Welcome in! Glitching is an advanced building technique that allows us to place things where we normally wouldn't be able to, and in ways we wouldn't be able to. Some use it artistically, some practically. I have a few vids on if it you go through the No Man's Sky playlist I have. I'd become more familiar with building regularly first, but to each their own!
@@DreadCaptainJames Thanks for the reply. Yes I watched you previous vids! I thought you meant that you were "creating them in" without having the resources, hence glitching, but i guess it' s a placement technique .
Thanks for uploading the video. One question: how do you build the solar panels without having the ressources (you have none metal plating, none gold and none chromatic metal) ?
I was glitch building, and when you use that technique, it allows you to place objects regardless of whether or not you have the mats. I like using this method to place things exactly where I want but it's not necessary for the build.
Locate an oxygen hotspot (instead of the uranium hotspot in the video), then instead of placing mineral extractors, place gas extractors. Everything else is the same.
relizing people can just "cheat" basically and invent all matirials from thin air got all the wind out of my sails after playing for 140 hours. all my struggle to build bases in re4mote areas was a waste?! people just turn on creative mode while in game and build for free. this is crazy! lost all my desire for the game
That sounds kind of like a knee jerk reaction honestly, and this feature has been around for a while. It was a big deal when it came out as it gave a lot more freedom to a lot of people, and made NMS accessible to not only survival players, but those who would only want to explore and search for lore perhaps. Also, what other people do in this game doesn't affect you, there's zero competition to it, there never has been. I would assume you'd be really upset by glitch building as well as it conjures up items out of thin air regardless of the user's inventory, but it's something the devs have embraced and love as it created an unintentional mode of gameplay. This game is way more than just a simple survival game now, and as I've said on many occasions, it's really only a survival game for the first hour or so, then it's about the much bigger world/universe around you. You learn to conquer the world you wake up on, then you leave it behind in search of your own goals, whatever they may be. Don't let others ruin the game for you, keep exploring, keep building.
NMS is not a competitive game, so it doesn't matter where other people got their stuff. We can each enjoy the game however we wish. Do you like your builds? If yes, then carry on and have fun.

That's awesome to hear! The cache glitch is LYFE!!! Keep it up!

Lol love the OSHA safe ones 😂

I always stick mine behind the teleporter

??? Enable the base for free power and use metallic building parts. Will NEVER need solar panels. !!!
I know this is a year old but can this farm make oxygen.

@ thank you
Are you doing this on "creative mode"? Can this be done in a serious mode?
Absolutely can be done in any mode, glitch building is available throughout the entirety of the game
Why build a mine ?? Been playing a lil over 2 months and already out of storage !!! Filling up exocrafts also !
What's the point of putting so many supply depots? They're connected. If you take resources out of one, they're all empty.
To have a big storage?
Boy, can't watch this with this damn music, seems like good content but geez

Play permadeath, all other players you meet are also locked into the same settings you are so no worrying about noobs with cheated items.
