Just wanted to add this pinned comment due to quite a few people commenting about the topic:
    For tree chopping:
I used the crouch axe method in this episode for vanilla trees. 😄
I spent time acquiring the saw for that method as modded trees can glitch out via the axe.
An added smaller reason is it takes no durability or loss with the saw as a copper golem. Not to worry, I am aware of both methods. ❤
Thank you for those also commenting a solution to the exhaust fan! I'll have to try out a few and see what the best solution is. 😊

The hand crank usually uses up a lot of your hunger bars, which is why most people probably don't use it much. However, since you don't lose hunger, it looks like you can use it indefinitely.

    • @ImminDragon
      @ImminDragon ปีที่แล้ว +64

It's not used because you could instead automate stuff so you don't have to stand there and hold the mouse button to make things work. The saw isn't used because, for the vanilla trees, they can just hold shift to chop the whole tree down. The saw is only good for the non-vanilla ones.

    • @technologist4270

One of the great thing about create is that most of the blocks actually look really cool, so they’re totally viable for building, and it’s not that hard to make a functional machine look cool. On that note, you can right click cogs, shafts, and conveyers with casings to “encase” them (basically hide them inside a block), and it doesn’t even use up the casing. Similarly, you can use the create wrench (which you need anyway) to change the looks of chutes and other blocks

Ok, fun fact that may come in handy later:
Recipe checking isn't just for the menu on the right-hand side. You can also use keyboard shortcuts for items in your inventory.
R shows the recipe for the item (so how to make it), and U shows all the recipes that use that item (so, what you can make using it)
Could check the uses for Zinc, see what you can do with it.

When you use the mechanical saw, whichever way it’s facing (where the blade is) that’s the direction the tree will ‘fall’. And with the exhaust fan, I’m not certain but using the Create Wrench could work on it

Some origins have secret benefits. But you have to pay attention to find them.
Copper golem is one of them. The more you oxidase you get better resistance. So I believe at full oxidation you get resistance 4/5 means you are completely immune to damage but the cost is being slowed.

Quickly scrolling through the comments, I saw that others have already given some tips and tricks, so I won't be leaving any as it'll probably be repeating what's already said. Looking forwards to seeing you continue experimenting and learning about the mods and seeing what you end up making over your 6 lives

There's some create stuff you should look into. The saw you made can be used to harvest trees automatically (You've probably heard this). Andesite casings can be used to house shafts (good way to keep that hidden). There's a Gearbox to shift the rotation of a shaft from horizontal to vertical and vice versa. Also, you should invest in lava to act as a power source for your base. I know Tango did something real neat at the start of his last season in Create so I'd look to there. Honestly, just watching the first few episodes might help you under stand features of the mod.

Not sure if someone said it already. But a gearshift with a redstone signal applied to it reverses the rotational force.
Also a rotation speed controller can be used to speed up cogs without having to use the step up technique of small cog-big cog. It just compacts your machines if you want that

Like making a base for said origin (some require a certain height) but also adding to the hallway rooms decorated to fit all the origins you become.

24:49 The daylight cycle syncs almost perfectly with the background music. I don't know if that is intentional or not but I enjoyed it way too much.

It's actually kinda nice watching her learning the mod with us instead of how others just did a timelapse and built contraptions and frams

I don’t think I saw anyone mention it yet, but the livestock at the beginning of the video is courtesy of Pixlriffs! I happened to catch the stream where he did that. IIRC he needed leather and such and happened to be around there and figured you might be able to make usage of it later.

Your base reminds me of the ancient one character in the old movie, the Neverending Story. I know your base is not a sleeping turtle but it’s still lovely. Looking forward to this series!

Red pandas, when they feel threatened, will stand on their hind legs amd raise their arms to make themselves seem bigger, as most animals do when they feel threatened. Red pandas just tend to seem a lot cuter w it bc they are red pandas.
