My post, The Sun and the Spring Did the sun set and rise only from Dhul Qarnayn's perspective? S 18 83 And they ask you about Dhul Qarnayn. Say: I shall read to you a remembrance of him. 84 We enabled him in the land and gave him a reason from everything. 85 So he followed a cable 86 Until when he reached the setting place of the sun he found it setting in a muddy spring and found by it a people. We said: Dhul Qarnayn, either you torture or you take them with goodness. 87 He said: As for him who wrongs, we shall torture him. Then he is returned to his lord and he tortures him abominably. 88 But as for him who has believed and has done a righteous deed, then his is the good recompense. And we shall speak to him from our command with ease. 89 Then he followed a cable 90 Until when he reached the rising place of the sun he found it rising on a people whom we had not made a shelter against it for. 91 Thus. And we surrounded in information of what was with him. 92 Then he followed a cable 93 Until when he reached between the two bars he found a people instead of them not almost comprehending speech. Is the author quoting a book? Why does it begin with 'WE'? Our hero: 1) Reaches the setting place of the sun Does he imagine that he has done so or that he has from his perspective? The author doesn't say that. 2) Finds it setting in a spring (not the sea) Does he imagine that he has found the sun setting in a spring or that he has from his perspective? The author doesn't say so. 3) Finds people by it Does he imagine that there are people by the spring in which the sun sets or that he has from his perspective? The author doesn't say so. 4) Reaches the rising place of the sun Does he imagine that he has reached the rising place of the sun or that he has from his perspective? 5) Finds it rising on people Does he imagine finding it rising on people or that he has from his perspective? 6) Reaches between two bars Does he imagine reaching between two bars or has he from his perspective? 7) Finds people. Does he imagine finding people or that he has from his perspective? Now, as the qurans are 'clear' and 'detailed', then if the reader believes 'the word of Allah' he will accept what the text says. But the Muslim DOES NOT WANT the text to be clear. He DOES NOT WANT to believe 'the word of Allah'. Narrated Abu Dharr: I was sitting behind the Messenger of Allah (ﷺ) who was riding a donkey while the sun was setting. He asked: Do you know where this sets ? I replied: Allah and his Apostle know best. He said: It sets in a spring of warm water (Hamiyah). The name comes from a medieval proto novel called "Amadis de Gaul" a fantasy novel where "California " is one of the fantasy places and it was named thus by the Spanish conquistadores who were familiar with the novel. The most likely author of the story was the heir to the Castilian throne who was fighting in Italy on behalf of the Aragonese there and was captured -he wrote it in prison. When Cortes and the other conquistadores laid eyes on Mexico city they also described it in terms of the fantasy cities in "Amadis d Gaul."

My post, Further Thoughts on S 4:82 I give some thought to the verse here: Some Thoughts on S 4:82 but in this post I shall be asking some questions regarding it. Do they not ponder on the Quran? Had it been from other than Allah they would have found therein much discrepancy. Is the 'other' another deity? Might there be, in the author's mind at this point**, some other deity that might have a book? How might we know that quran was/is from Allah? "Had it been from other than Allah they would have found therein much discrepancy." The line allows for there being discrepancies in quran; does the test consist in examining just how many there are, and if there are many then it's not from Allah? Can we know that it's from Allah from their being (supposedly) only a few discrepancies? Does the author think that there must be discrepancies in all books, and many in books that aren't from Allah? Muslims will tell us that there are contradictions in the Bible. But isn't the Bible supposedly one of Allah's books? S 2:285 The messenger has believed in what has been sent down to him from his lord, and the believers. All have believed in Allah and his angels and his books and his messengers. We do not distinguish between any of his messengers. And they have said: We have heard and obeyed. Your forgiveness, our lord, and to you is the destiny. S 4:136 Those who have believed, believe in Allah and his messenger and the book that he sent down upon his messenger and the Book that he sent down before. And he who disbelieves in Allah and his angels and his books and his messengers and the last day, he has strayed far. S 66:12 And Maryam daughter of Imran who fortified her private part and we blew into it from our spirit. And she believed in her lord’s words and his books. And she was of the obedient. If there are perceived contradictions, as Allah allows contradictions, etc. in quran, what's their problem? **S 4 is something like the 92nd in order of 'revelation'. A good job they did not fight in the UK. They would be arrested for antagonizing the audience causing them harassment, alarm and distress; and also for praying in public.
God bless you AP. The Lord is calling you home.
Good job DWOOD and AP !
i’m so glad someone in chat knows Farfur
Why isn't the Quran considered hate speech again?
I think the " happy new year" from fury was from concussion cos their first fight was supposed to be December last year
I'm a pretty staunch atheist and I wouldn't care one bit if AP changed his position on God or gods. His work on Islam is super important. Just don't go back to that one.
agnus dei is also the 8th section of Mozart's Requiem
There's an agnus dei in most masses :)
My post, The Sun and the Spring
Did the sun set and rise only from Dhul Qarnayn's perspective?
Our hero:
1) Reaches the setting place of the sun
Does he imagine that he has done so or that he has from his perspective? The author doesn't say that.
2) Finds it setting in a spring (not the sea)
Does he imagine that he has found the sun setting in a spring or that he has from his perspective? The author doesn't say so.
3) Finds people by it
Does he imagine that there are people by the spring in which the sun sets or that he has from his perspective? The author doesn't say so.
4) Reaches the rising place of the sun
Does he imagine that he has reached the rising place of the sun or that he has from his perspective?
5) Finds it rising on people
Does he imagine finding it rising on people or that he has from his perspective?
6) Reaches between two bars
Does he imagine reaching between two bars or has he from his perspective?
7) Finds people.
Does he imagine finding people or that he has from his perspective?
Now, as the qurans are 'clear' and 'detailed', then if the reader believes 'the word of Allah' he will accept what the text says. But the Muslim DOES NOT WANT the text to be clear. He DOES NOT WANT to believe 'the word of Allah'.
Narrated Abu Dharr:
I was sitting behind the Messenger of Allah (ﷺ) who was riding a donkey while the sun was setting. He asked: Do you know where this sets ? I replied: Allah and his Apostle know best. He said: It sets in a spring of warm water (Hamiyah).

The thing I loved and love most about christianity or at least related to christianity is Christmas and "Jingle Bells".
Favorite Kalif would be California which was named by the Spanish in reference to Kalif. Kalifotnia!
@@kaloarepo288 yes that’s what I’m talking about!
@@kaloarepo288 just to have a funny play on name . Amadeus Amadeus rock me Amadeus. Amadeus Amadeus rock me…… now that would be a good Kalif’s name.
The Hallelujah for AP becoming potentially agnostic was Perfect! 😂🤌
The place were Dhul Qarnain saw the sun setting is fairly obvious. It is the Lancashire seaside resort town of Blackpool, From which one can watch the spectacular sunsets over Morecambe Bay and the Irish Sea.
There plenty, just that Muslims won’t admit it. As what Bart Ehrman has stated during his interview with Mojob.
Bart Ehrman does a sterling job himself of presenting "contradictions" in the NT, which are actually nothing more than creative interpretations that are easily dimissed. Satan loves his lying soldiers.
God is the just judge. He will let someone reap what they sow.
Heli is a Jewish name so, it works either way
😂 They prob thought it was too obvious. Or that the name isn't that known
Mel of Islamic Origins has a theory that the Arabic word Ezra is actually a misspelling - one dot missing - and that the word is actually ‘messiah’.
That actually makes sense
Eli Copter is my regular pilot, that's just his style

“War is deceit” has taken on a new and improved meaning @2:43:36. Great point to consider when engaging with muslim apologists
1:26:55-1:29:10 _"I have been very, very uhm... I have been a little bit different since I went to Israel and came back. In fact, while still saying that I'm an _*_atheist,_*_ repeatedly, I am at a point right now where I feel like uhm... it would be more accurate for me to say that I am _*_agnostic_*_ about the existence of God, or of a god."_
That is very interesting, AP. I do feel like agnosticism is a more natural position, for someone open to the possibility of there being spiritual dimensions to life. 🤷♀️
Why does DW’s impression of the Muslim cowboy sound like Mr. Nezzer from veggie tails?

Even a Class 1 book or nursery books have no errors
Due to sanctions their planes are old and they don't have spare parts and that is why many Iranian planes have technical issues and it could be a technical failure according to a retired person who worked in the aviation industry in the middle east . The helicopter due to technical issues might have crashed in bad weather. Its funny that they gave the bad helicopter with technical issues to the main leader and not to the other leaders in the other helicopters

My post, Allah’s Imperfect Light
S 9:32 They want to extinguish Allah’s light with their mouths, and Allah refuses except to perfect his light, even if the kafirun have disliked.
S 61:8 They want to extinguish Allah’s light with their mouths but Allah is perfecting his light, even if the kafirun have disliked.
Allah refuses its light to be extinguished (by the disbelievers), EXCEPT to perfect it. Allah is perfecting it. When would Allah finish perfecting its light?

My post, A Short Note on 'Found'
S 18:86 Until when he reached the setting place of the sun he found it setting in a muddy spring and found by it a people. We said: Dhul Qarnayn, either you torture or you take them with goodness.
S 18:89-90 Then he followed a cable Until when he reached the rising place of the sun he found it rising on a people whom we had not made a shelter against it for.
S 18:93 Until when he reached between the two bars he found a people instead of them not almost comprehending speech.
Did he think that he found the sun setting in a muddy spring? Did he think that he found people by it? Did he think that he found the sun rising on people? Did he think that he found people who could barely comprehend speech?

Can you go over Ketubot 11b verse 6 in the Talmud? Talks about comparing having sex with a 3 year old or younger like poking someone in the eye.
My post, Further Thoughts on S 4:82
I give some thought to the verse here: Some Thoughts on S 4:82 but in this post I shall be asking some questions regarding it.

Like this part where AP confess to have moved a bit regarding the existence of God...
The Jews say, "Ezra is the son of Allah "; and the Christians say, "The Messiah is the son of Allah ." That is their statement from their mouths; they imitate the saying of those who disbelieved [before them]. May Allah destroy them; how are they deluded? - s 9:30
