He managed to storm the Toy House in Dressrosa against several Donquixote executives and a Vice Admiral, and even though its non-canon, in Film Z, Franky showed up as the cavalry for the Hats, and it was treated like “oh, everything’s alright, we’ll fight the important guys and Franky’ll fight literally everything else.” He doesn’t get solo fights, he just handles hordes of enemies so everybody else can fight in peace.

But he still gives awesome fights like in wano dress Rosa punk Hazzard or etc. And when you have 1070+ series anime with many twists characters power system, it's highly possible that most of them will be nerfed(example:all big 3 side characters)
Franky is my all-around favorite straw hat. Every time you see the Sunny do something cool or save the crew, don't forget he built that thing entirely by his lonesome. The Sunny IS Franky.

Franky vs Luffy was meant to be an introduction to Franky and his abilities, he was supposed to shine in that moment. Later when they went to Enies Lobby, it was moments that showed Franky was already a step behind the monster trio. Franky punching Lucci’s iron body, no damage, then Luffy jet pistols Lucci and Franky losing track of Lucci’s speed, Luffy smashing down Lucci before he gets to Franky. Then Franky struggling with a marine made of berries and Zoro bails him out.

He's absolutely fire in Thriller Bark, sure, not solo, but there's only two solo fights in that arc. Then we have Saboady, where the only serious fight, everyone loses. Post-timeskip, the man's a beast. He has not been pushed to his limits yet.

With most character intro fights against Luffy, I always feel unless they’re definitely weaker than Luffy, the other person will always seem toe to toe because it’s something new to Luffy. Once the whole kit has shown itself off, that’s when Luffy usually shines
The fight between Senior Pink and Franky was one of the deepest fights in one piece. Two men who went thru hell and back just to become Men and lost everything once they did. They acknowledged eachothers pain and went blow for blow till the end.

I feel as if y'all forget the premise of one piece. Apparent power ups are very rarely seen and fights are not one sided slaughters. A top tier character can still fail to defeat a mediocre character IN ONE SHOT like everyone expects. For example, Sengoku attacks Luffy but does not outright defeat him. Yet, Sengoku could possibly defeat the likes of kaido or at least stand on equal footing as kaido. As for the issue with Franky - Luffy and Zoro went through the majority of pre-ts without any "apparent" power ups. Luffy fought crocodile without gears, same with enel. He got gear 2 & 3 in enies lobby and kept that going all the way to the timeskip. It's only in this later half of the series oda started introducing these power ups one after another. First with gear 4, then snake man + future sight, then ryou + advanced Haoshoku+ gear 5. And it makes sense now given that they're facing threats multiple times stronger than the last. Hodie was nothing in comparison to Doflamingo. Katakuri was equal to an extent, but oda needed to introduce future sight at some point....dunno why he went with snake man either...but it was cool AF anyways. Kaido was leagues above any of them and having 3 power ups makes sense. We're in the endgame now, so I see maybe a few more as well. But visible power ups don't mean a person isn't getting stronger. Just like we didn't see any visible power up for crocodile but he clearly got stronger from alabaster to marineford.
I don't expect them all to be crazy strong. The StrawHats have different dreams and gouls. some of them never thought they'd be fighting across the grand line in the first place. No one got blow off, they're in the right spot, supporting each other and following their separate goals together.
To be fair, there wasn't a lot of time or major fights after Water 7. they went to Thriller Bark where literally everyone got their asses handed to them and then they went to Sabaody, again, where everyone got their asses handed to them and which was the last time we saw them all together before the time skip.

The strawhats don't really have any big solo fights after water 7 pre-timeskip. Thriller Bark(where Franky does get to shine a bit) is a big group fight as the main challenge with a side Usopp gag fight. After that the crew gets beaten at Sabadoy and doesn't reunite until post time skip.
There was literally one arc between Enies Lobby and Saobody archipelago. There simply just wasn’t enough big fights before the straw hats got separated. Franky tried showing us his real power in Thriller Bark, but it’s not his fault that Robin wouldn’t dock!
I think the reason Franky doesnt have as many solo fights is because most of his inventions and main fighting style has always been coordinated team attacks, think about it with the original franky crew, he always saw his crew as family, and thus does the same with the straw hats, so he simply is just combining his strength with the others strength to make an even more SUPER special attack, plus it makes sense to have a crew member who is coordinated in fights or is the main one to set up combo attacks, since most of the cast got tons of solo moments, so i think Oda just wants to focus more on the crew as a whole and how close they have bonded with each other, and the best way to show that is how perfectly in sync they are with each other in battle.
Franky pretty consistently shows off his strength, but the strength of things around him gets pretty wild, so he has to do general franky and all kinds of shit to keep up, which works and it’s cool
Also I’m Wano he had the “don’t you want our captain to become pirate king” moment. He definitely deserves more but the last two major arcs he’s been in (since he wasn’t in WCI) he’s had some great moments
I remember when I saw Franky for the first time I described him as the "The non devil fruit, devil fruit user" because he had Devil fruit level power ups minus the removal of the ability to swim
This is coming from a guy who had the same issue: You're always going to be disappointed in what you get going forward if you can't let go of the things that have already happened. Yeah, Franky's character intro throughout the Water 7/Enies Lobby saga was incredible, but Oda, being the genius writer that he is, understands the importance of giving his characters challenges that they need to overcome. You might have to wait longer than you want to, sure, but you're gonna have to wait nonetheless. Instead of focusing on nostalgia, appreciate what's happening in the story right now regardless of which characters are on the bench, and which ones are in the spotlight. Their time will come. Oda's knows what he's doing. Man is a better writer than everyone in this comment section combined.
I mean, you're talking about pre-time skip Franky, there was only Thriller bark and Sabaody, which is a really short time compared to the other members. Same could be said about Brook because he also didn't have as much screentime compared to the other older members. That being said post-time skip Franky and Brook are amazing.
1- He also defeated Spadam, the CP9 director, with relative ease using his elephant sword 2- in punk danger he easily dominates baby 5 and buffalo, two of doflamingo's henchmen, and in dressrosa he completely defeats sir pink, a high-ranking executive. So yeah, Franky is ridiculously strong. I think he's the strongest not in the monster trio
Well there’s only one other arc in pretimeskip before sabaody where everyone gets clapped. And Franky helped quite a bit throughout thriller bark, and I think he’s had three 1v1 fights against enemy officers since timeskip

His personality changes quite a bit after time skip. He goes from being super strong and always trying to prove it to kinda calming down and not care to fight anymore cause he knows he wins. Franky vs Senior Pink is goated. Theory videos only work if you're caught up
The fight between Senior Pink and Franky was one of the deepest fights in one piece. Two men who went thru hell and back just to become Men and lost everything once they did. They acknowledged eachothers pain and went blow for blow till the end.
Bro franky goes through all of the new world without a power up since fishman island and bro is still taking W’s against some of kaido’s top men. FRANKY IS HIM
I feel as if y'all forget the premise of one piece. Apparent power ups are very rarely seen and fights are not one sided slaughters. A top tier character can still fail to defeat a mediocre character IN ONE SHOT like everyone expects. For example, Sengoku attacks Luffy but does not outright defeat him. Yet, Sengoku could possibly defeat the likes of kaido or at least stand on equal footing as kaido.
As for the issue with Franky - Luffy and Zoro went through the majority of pre-ts without any "apparent" power ups. Luffy fought crocodile without gears, same with enel. He got gear 2 & 3 in enies lobby and kept that going all the way to the timeskip.
It's only in this later half of the series oda started introducing these power ups one after another. First with gear 4, then snake man + future sight, then ryou + advanced Haoshoku+ gear 5.
And it makes sense now given that they're facing threats multiple times stronger than the last. Hodie was nothing in comparison to Doflamingo. Katakuri was equal to an extent, but oda needed to introduce future sight at some point....dunno why he went with snake man either...but it was cool AF anyways. Kaido was leagues above any of them and having 3 power ups makes sense. We're in the endgame now, so I see maybe a few more as well. But visible power ups don't mean a person isn't getting stronger. Just like we didn't see any visible power up for crocodile but he clearly got stronger from alabaster to marineford.
I don't expect them all to be crazy strong. The StrawHats have different dreams and gouls. some of them never thought they'd be fighting across the grand line in the first place. No one got blow off, they're in the right spot, supporting each other and following their separate goals together.
To be fair, there wasn't a lot of time or major fights after Water 7. they went to Thriller Bark where literally everyone got their asses handed to them and then they went to Sabaody, again, where everyone got their asses handed to them and which was the last time we saw them all together before the time skip.

Yeah they did this w all arks I loved it when they’d actually focus on character development but now all the arch’s are centered around just Luffy or a new character and it makes the other straw hats moments that are big fall flat
The strawhats don't really have any big solo fights after water 7 pre-timeskip. Thriller Bark(where Franky does get to shine a bit) is a big group fight as the main challenge with a side Usopp gag fight. After that the crew gets beaten at Sabadoy and doesn't reunite until post time skip.

There was literally one arc between Enies Lobby and Saobody archipelago. There simply just wasn’t enough big fights before the straw hats got separated. Franky tried showing us his real power in Thriller Bark, but it’s not his fault that Robin wouldn’t dock!

I think the reason Franky doesnt have as many solo fights is because most of his inventions and main fighting style has always been coordinated team attacks, think about it with the original franky crew, he always saw his crew as family, and thus does the same with the straw hats, so he simply is just combining his strength with the others strength to make an even more SUPER special attack, plus it makes sense to have a crew member who is coordinated in fights or is the main one to set up combo attacks, since most of the cast got tons of solo moments, so i think Oda just wants to focus more on the crew as a whole and how close they have bonded with each other, and the best way to show that is how perfectly in sync they are with each other in battle.
Franky pretty consistently shows off his strength, but the strength of things around him gets pretty wild, so he has to do general franky and all kinds of shit to keep up, which works and it’s cool

Also I’m Wano he had the “don’t you want our captain to become pirate king” moment. He definitely deserves more but the last two major arcs he’s been in (since he wasn’t in WCI) he’s had some great moments
I remember when I saw Franky for the first time I described him as the "The non devil fruit, devil fruit user" because he had Devil fruit level power ups minus the removal of the ability to swim

This is coming from a guy who had the same issue: You're always going to be disappointed in what you get going forward if you can't let go of the things that have already happened. Yeah, Franky's character intro throughout the Water 7/Enies Lobby saga was incredible, but Oda, being the genius writer that he is, understands the importance of giving his characters challenges that they need to overcome. You might have to wait longer than you want to, sure, but you're gonna have to wait nonetheless. Instead of focusing on nostalgia, appreciate what's happening in the story right now regardless of which characters are on the bench, and which ones are in the spotlight. Their time will come. Oda's knows what he's doing. Man is a better writer than everyone in this comment section combined.

I mean, you're talking about pre-time skip Franky, there was only Thriller bark and Sabaody, which is a really short time compared to the other members. Same could be said about Brook because he also didn't have as much screentime compared to the other older members. That being said post-time skip Franky and Brook are amazing.

2- in punk danger he easily dominates baby 5 and buffalo, two of doflamingo's henchmen, and in dressrosa he completely defeats sir pink, a high-ranking executive. So yeah, Franky is ridiculously strong. I think he's the strongest not in the monster trio
Well there’s only one other arc in pretimeskip before sabaody where everyone gets clapped. And Franky helped quite a bit throughout thriller bark, and I think he’s had three 1v1 fights against enemy officers since timeskip

His personality changes quite a bit after time skip. He goes from being super strong and always trying to prove it to kinda calming down and not care to fight anymore cause he knows he wins. Even after time skip we see a good ammouny of fights with franky and he litterally never tries. Even lets enemies attack him cause they cant hurt him
