From start to finish his character was in constant evolution without being out of bound or not logical. After water 7, he became a lesser version of himself. I don't know what to think about Francky now, but water 7 is unmatched and will stay unmatched in One Piece. That's the only thing I will remember

As much as I dislike the slog that is thriller bark, it has a good few of my favorite moments in the series. One that I'd love to mention here is Franky's Docking 6 and Robin's interaction.
Little fact: after the loss of the going merry and the creation of the thousand sunny, franky built a small dingy-like boat of the going marry known as mini-marry to make up for their loss. Also, franky actually cybernetically enhanced only the front half of his body, as he couldn’t reach his back half. Extra fact: when either complimented or insulted, franky would interprat it as the person calling him a pervert, as he was constantly called such because he would always wear a speedo, even in cold weather, which he’s grown acustomed to and treats it as a compliment.

I love Franky, but as others have said I miss his old design. It was the fact he looked like a regular person (in tight trunks and Hawaiian shirt) who could pop out any number of surprises that made him fun. Making him look like a giant toy just loses that mystique.

Now the crew gets separated and what they get involved in isn't as simple as a battle between one enemy per straw hat but in the previous aforementioned arcs we got to see some characters fight hard and others get completely fucked up and there was some development or method to how they won. Now there's always a bigger story that's more than just a fight, I mean there was always a bigger story in an arc but it didn't boil down to just Luffy and Zoro getting to fight.
I don't think Robin ignores his antics at all, her I would rather die reaction was the funniest shit in thriller bark and that arc was pretty hilarious between brooke's introduction , sanji's being an absolute psychopath to Joey King, and the rest of the oars fight.
If you do an updated version of this you should change the opening quote to "standing before the crashing waves, naked and proud! You wouldn't ask a lion to put on underwear, so why a man?"
