Maybe it’s more like the shard that gives Malphite live shifts throughout the land and then gathers all the rock around to make a body when he needs it
What if zaun and piltover live on top of Malphite ? He moves very slowly so it's not noticeable and doesn't cause much of a problem.

I think it would be cool if his model showed some resemblance of ruins such as worn down/regrown crenellations and arrowslit's along with various old glyph patterns showing the magical influence from the original creators.
Remember when Malphite was literally ripped from his home against his will because some occult gamers wanted a Gormiti in their ranks

In the west people like the diversity and monster champs definitely are appreciated. But here in Asia theres a definite favor leaning to human champions.

Idk. I find tank malphite on the the most fun champs in the game. You go grasp, max W, then E, and you buy frostfire gauntlet first item. Its so much fun
funny how it's taking riot forever to give malphite ASU while there are bunch of custom skins ASU everywhere out there ALSO I swear if they decide to release a legendary skin instead of ASU... cough cough Leona cough... Lee sin...
Those custom skins are usually awful. And it's only 1 skin not his entire catalogue of skins. Malphite despite being ugly have a loads of skins needed to get rework
Custom skins lack quality. They aren't nearly as good as you think.
the Malphite ASU isn't really an ASU, it's some experimental update they're trying to see if this method will be a good sustainable method of updating older champions by importing models from Wild Rift so we don't even know if or when it will even succeed
Me and my friends were in the last game and my friend was the Nasus mid lmao. Watching this video with them and we are dying laughing how he was just dying the whole game. We didn't realize that it was him until our other friend pointed it out to us that he was doing a champion review on him lmao. I thought it was just a fan with the name.

the green never felt right as a mouth/eye glow. His league splash has had those as yellow for years and i think it clashes less with his color palette than green
part of the ASU thing is partly correct, it was recently stated that ASUs aren't really gonna cater towards popular champions
with the Malphite model update being an experimental way of making more Visual Updates, they said that they will be taking models from WR starting with Malphite with some changes as you stated earlier, skins that aren't present in Wild Rift will be re-done from scratch, and that is IF this is a good sustainable way to update older champions which i hope it is

As far as I know, Skarner didn't actually fight the Void. That painting is just depicting him protecting Ixtal from basically every evil outside the jungle, Void included. He just witnessed the war against the Void, and all the other crazy stuff, and went "yeah, nah", completely understandably.
skarner knew about nezuk plan with the fortress and living stone, he though it was a good try but in the end failed, so he says to malphite that he is only the leftover of a failed plan or something like that

I think my favourite wacky build for Malphite is Crit/On Hit. I do it during URF and while the rate of success is.... iffy it is very fun to ult someone and then beat them to a pulp
If we get the malphite asu and there is a small chance that chip tries to throw himself at a enemy like malphite's ult, when malphite casts Q, I'll be happy

It's funny to me hearing that malphite's model is awful. Cause like yeah the design sucks but at least the graphical fidelity is fine. COMPARED TO MOTHERFUCKING ZILEAN RIOT HOW IS HE STILL LIKE THAT.

When I think of characters meant to be extremely large, I always think back to Deathwing from Heroes of the Storm. I think it’d be super cool for malphite to be huge, and each portion of his HP chips away and makes him weaker. I can think of so many champions who could get the Deathwing treatment, but riot is too scared.
I think that would work better in another game, unfortunately. I doubt Riot would want to change a fundamental of their game (champions being relatively the same size on-screen).
[I do miss Heroes of the Storm. I found it to be the best iteration of a modern MOBA.]
@@patrickcarter2829 I’ll totally admit it had a lot of flaws, but it was so *creative* with its characters. You’d never see a character like Deathwing, Lost Vikings, or Abathur in League, but god knows they’ll come out with another hot guy/gal character again.

Most of their recent designs, while nice, don't really push any boundaries. For example, I remember someone mentioning how cool it would be if Smolder casted a projection of his mature dragon form when using abilities instead of just the flaming horns.
Nicky is the only LoL player I know that wins and goes "uuuugggghhh..."

That's not why. They added recall animations to a lot of older champs who didnt have one at some point, it's just his Taunt+Laugh animation copy pasted over to his Recall.
Wild Rift Malphite is also I believe the only champion who has never had buffs or nerfs. Apparently they just got him right the first time.
My hope some years ago is that malphite would be something like Aganos from Killer instinct. But today that impossible
I am thankful for another Casual Champion Review, but I am disgusted by seeing AP Malphite on my screen.

Malphite is a good example of why playrate is a flawed way of measuring popularity. Malphite is simple to play and simple to understand. As a bonus, Malphite is generally a safe or even strong pick. So naturally he's going to get picked more. But he isn't actually a popular Champion.
If you look at the size of Malphite's player community, he ranks in the bottom-10%. Thresh, for comparison, is in the top-10%.
Malphite gets played to win games, not because people actually like him.

it's hilarious to think that Malphite has been this exact same *_warcraft III rock golem-lookin'-ass_* basically since 2009..... and still gets skins pumped out semi-regularly for its horribly outdated model, i was very much dissappointed by the fact they were just gonna updated its model into the wild rift version instead of just getting an VGU - because the improvement is there but it's still the old painfully basic *_every-fantasy-rock golem-in the-history-of-ever design_* - a polished turd is still a turd
