    May 2024.
    Used 2015 Sienna.
    Love the vehicle.
    This light caused a disturbance in our household.
    But this video alleviated that.
    Thanks.

    24 dealerships thumbed down this video as of Aug 2019 😅😆😂 charges $650 for a 35k maintenance, give me a fcukin’ break! The minivan just barely broken in and you want $650 and for what?! SMFH

    Cool beans. Thank you. Usually it is reset with my oil change. But it had not tripped yet. Saved me a trip back to town to reset it.

    Thank you! I have a 2017 Sienna that has the exact same dash layout, and this helped. I think my low fuel light may be burned out, though, as I've never seen it lit at all, not even when I took it for a test drive, when it had only 23 miles left.

    My 2015 sienna doesn't have a key, and this didn't work just pushing the ignition button... But it wasn't too far off, and a different combination of pushing the button two times, but NOT starting it got it to reset.

    How to rest traction light on 2015 Toyota sienna

  • @xcalirocc
    @xcalirocc 5 ปีที่แล้ว

    Thanks for this! We just took a trip in our 2016 Sienna we just picked up certified used and put on some miles in a short time which tripped the light, I know I don’t need a change for at least a couple months so this helps to not have to look at the warning in the meantime lol. Quick question though. Anything on the “Check Charging System” light that comes on? I noticed this in the video and I had the same pop up when on our trip, quick google search mentions it’s “normal” if nothing seems wrong but wondering if you ever got it checked out?

    • @mayh3xx
      @mayh3xx 4 ปีที่แล้ว

      xcalirocc I don't know if you ever see this comment, but I work at a Toyota dealer in this is completely normal. Most check engine lights will come on with the ignition switched on only because the system is detecting power but detecting that nothing is on

    You know at 5,000 mi youre recommended a tire rotation to prevent spot-wearing on your tires right? And 10,000 mi every synthetic oil change. Its not really a "skip the dealer" gimmick

    What’s the deal with that “check charging system” message? Need a new alternator or is it just a battery issue?

    • @DadsGotADeal
      @DadsGotADeal  5 ปีที่แล้ว

      Adam on Drums I read about that message and essentially it’s nothing. It’s supposed to say that during startup for some reason. The computer talking to itself, not to me.

      NightSociety I wish I had that model! Then I could get the factory remote start. I’m not sure for your question but give it a try. You won’t mess anything up.

    • @DadsGotADeal
      @DadsGotADeal  6 ปีที่แล้ว

      this method is for DIY maintenance and after an oil change. you should always get your vehicle serviced and checked out by a professional if you have extra money to spend :)

    Didn't want to take it to the dealer? Why not, your first 2 years of oil changes are free, 3 years if you know your shit?

    • @DadsGotADeal
      @DadsGotADeal  7 ปีที่แล้ว +2

      fordwindsor351 ya i see what you're saying, but for me it just hasn't worked out that way. I couldn't get an appointment at the dealer before my road trip so I had to do the oil change myself. then when i took it in for the next service they said I already missed the 10k mile window for the free oil change, so all they would do was kick the tires at 15k. my dealer is an hour drive away and made me sit 2 hours just to rotate the tires at the 5k service. if they gave us coupons for free oil changes at any mileage that would work better.

    To be honest sienna has a horrible gas mileage i was getting close with my v8 nissan armada the vans are not so super extraordinary like everyone seems to boast about them not impressed at all they are made cheap and not worth the money

    • @DadsGotADeal
      @DadsGotADeal  5 ปีที่แล้ว

      That’s great mileage for your armada! Wow. We get about 26mpg on longer trips. I agree that suv type vehicles are better in a lot of ways. Things I like about minivans are that kids can walk around inside, they are easy to camp in, and I can fit 4x8 feet sheets of plywood inside. The 3rd row back seats aren’t cramped like most suv third rows. I agree with you on most items. I could use more ground clearance for sure!
