I have the same green fountain. My son made a small pipe extension so it is higher and my budgies can fully go under it!

My parrotlet doesn't like water and only bathes by rubbing himself all over a hanging wet washcloth.

Where did you find that very shallow plastic dish that hangs in the cage for bathing? My Budgie currently likes to bathe in his water dish when I hold it, but only can dip his chest and head into it seeing it isn't big enough for his whole body. Have been trying to find something exactly like the shallow dish you have to hold for him. Thanks!!

Hi there! Do you encourage Blueberry to bathe in the earlier part of the day & what about concerns for staying warm afterwards especially in the colder weather seasons? Also sort of a two part question regarding keeping the birds warm I was wondering if you would include in one of your next videos room temperature or how warm you general keep your home for your birds. Thanks!

Is there a ideal water temperature. In my country is at the moment cold and the water feels more cold

Every bird has different preferences. You need to try both warm and cold and see which your bird(s) seem to like the best.

I’m rescuing two cockatiels very soon. I was wondering if I should wait to give them a shower to build up a bond or just to go for it?

Hi. I'm not sure of the answer myself to your question in that situation, but I can say that when I was very young I had two cockatiels, and they loved the brass plant mister (plenty of different ones to be found online now). It's such a gentle effect that it might be worth trying. You could point the spray near them, not directly toward them, and my guess is that they would investigate that gentle spray without much prodding.

I rescued a cockatiel around six months ago and I still can't get her to come out of her cage, let alone take a bath. She is terrified of hands. She doesn't even know how to play. The young girl I got her from cut (chopped really) her wings so bad that I'm not sure if she will ever fly again!
I just feel so bad for her. I also got a budgie for company for her and she wants absolutely nothing to do with him and he is just the sweetest lil baby. I just have no idea if how to show her that she can trust me and have a great life. Just so sad..

@@JB.885 Hi there. I am confident that you can help your cockatiel! I very much recommend that you watch some videos on the BirdTricks channel here on TH-cam. The one thing I wished I knew about the most when I was younger was "target training." That seems to be the most dramatic first step to developing a nice relationship with your bird. On BirdTricks they also have a video specifically about teaching your bird to play - again, starting with target training. Your cockatiel may take some patience because of her history, but if you can work with her for a few minutes (very briefly) three or four times a day, I expect you will see modest changes in her in less than a month, and then just keep going!

@@JB.885 There is a lot to unpack here with your cockatiel. I would recommend emailing our customer service team at info@birdtricks.com so they can help with getting you some specific resources that will help you out with the issues you are having with your bird.
