    Leatt is one of the top manufacturers of high quality MTB and off-road riding gear and their lineup of knee guards is no exception. With options to suit a range of budgets and features, the knee guards from Leatt will keep you protected and looking good while out on the trails. But knowing the differentiating features and which knee protection will be the best fit for your needs can be a tricky task. In this video, we aim to make that process easier as Chase goes over the defining characteristics found on the Leatt AirFlex Pro, AirFlex Hybrid, 3DF 5.0, 3DF 6.0, Enduro, and 3DF Hybrid EXT knee guards for motocross and mountain biking.

    6.0’s are amazing for mx and surprisingly good for pedalling great protection too I’ve had to test it multiple times

    I wear Airflex Pro on BMX, as well. Fits under jeans. Saved my knee from stem and bar impacts a few times. Completely unobtrusive.

      The AirFlex Pro's are perfect for biking! Thanks for giving us your feedback and we're glad you're liking them!

    I have the Leatt 3DF 6.0, I've used them in enduro mtb and now in enduro moto, They fit me well with the Gaerne SG12 Boots. They're already worn out but looking to buy a new set.

    Great overview. What size are you testing? Specifically for the 3DF 5.0, Leatt sizing sizing runs a bit all over the place.

      I would wear a L but I also have a 16 inch calf so I'm not the best reference. - Chase

    i use the 3.0EXT knee and shin. the best part of them is they go on and not pull up. easy to put on and take off. uphill does become a little tiring but better safe then sorry and i hate my pedal pins digging into my shins

    • @rmatvmc
      @rmatvmc  ปีที่แล้ว +1

      A pedal to the shin is the worst! Thanks for giving us your feedback and letting us know how you like the Leatt 3.0 EXT.

    How are any of these in a MX boot? I have never found any to give me protection and comfort. Usually when I go for the protection my boot won't cinch at the top.

    • @xrbois
      @xrbois ปีที่แล้ว

      depends on your boots, mine have a pocket for shinguards and so they feel loose without anything on the shin/knee

    The Dual Axis doesn't fit in this lineup? I was looking at this one for MX.

    • @rmatvmc
      @rmatvmc  2 ปีที่แล้ว +2

      The Dual Axis is built more for MX.

    Would something in this lineup be better than lets say the leatt dual axis. I mainly ride enduro single track on the dirtbike and im typically wearing tech1 enduro boots???

    • @rmatvmc
      @rmatvmc  2 ปีที่แล้ว +3

      You could use either. It's all personal preference. For Moto, I would probably prefer a hard plastic knee guard like the Dual Axis. But I'd also check out the TP199 knee guard from EVS! www.rockymountainatvmc.com/riding-gear/evs-tp199-knee-shin-guards-p

      @@rmatvmc i was just looking at them for the slimmer profile being im a shorter guy only 5'7" and i have issues getting my boots closed around my current knee guards

  • @erstanler

    For an electric scooter that goes up to 100km/h should I use the dual axis from leatt instead of the 3DF 6.0 ?

    • @TraviNomotion
      @TraviNomotion ปีที่แล้ว

      Probably it would slide better if you were to go down on pavement

    • @arturslapins5595

    Are the models that have shin protection, are these supposed to end up inside your boot? I have no room in my boot for anything other than my legs and socks

    • @rmatvmc
      @rmatvmc  4 หลายเดือนก่อน

      It will depend on the knee/shin guard but yes, many of them are meant to be tucked into boots. Not sure if you've already played with the adjustments on your boots but you should be able to loosen the straps to make more room.

    My wife says that with the model wearing shorts you can’t see how much of the leg the knee guard covers up
    So please remake this video and put the model in tidy Whiteys

      @rmatvmc  ปีที่แล้ว +3

      I'll see what I can do haha. Not sure the model or my boss would go for that, but never hurts to ask - Chase

      2nd vote for tighty-whities! very important for big-brain decision-making.
