hayato was always my fav very first time i saw him in this game. i played tons of star gladiator as a kid and when he was in mvc2, i was automatically sold. mvc2 has one of the greatest rosters if not the greatest in video game history

I've always considered Hayato to be at the top of low tier. Sure he got low health and next to no options to open up your opponent, but he does have the infinite super install as well as a raging demon super (LP, HP, B, LK, HK) that you can combo into. Also his auto combos can be used to set other characters up for corner infinites like Justin attempted in the video.
20 years of this game being about 6 characters and since 2021 every character in the game became viable becuse the goat himself made them look top tier. This is why Justin is a legend.
Justin, you should throw in a little tutorial with some explanations of the characters and abilities. Like the energy ball special from hayate. What are the properties after the hit? It would make it more educational and informative.
Let’s 👏🏽 be 👏🏽 clear 👏🏽 Capcom kept marvel alive. The gamers are what really kept marvel relevant. Regardless of the recycled sprites, this game was innovative and fun. The obscure nature of the capcom/marvel characters lets us know that capcom was really thoughtful in all the characters that were included. It’s a shame that once Disney had their hand in creating the last iteration, it was a thoughtless money grab with no heart behind it. Hopefully one day, they’ll listen to the gamers that kept both of these companies afloat, And create an amazing game with the same obscure characters that pulled people in from the get-go.

It’s not exactly “good” by any means, but it’s unique setting and colorful cast makes it a fun Star Wars-esque fighter.

If anyone craves to see more high level Hayato there's a player by the name: MagusOld that probably has the best Hayato in the world, and he uses Spiderman and Hulk (easily the best Spidey/Hulk too). Guy is just a pleasure to watch battle the God tiers with that team.

i could be wrong but i think its hayato that can do a move which allows for unlimited supers for a brief period meaning you can spam level 3 raging demon repeatedly

I know you've already played through Plasma Sword Justin, and it's a much better game than Star Gladiator.. but it would be cool to see a playthrough of some of the ps1 classics like Star Gladiator, Soul Edge, and Battle Arena Toshinden, to name a few. Battle Arena Toshinden had a GBC version too that was decent. If I remember that gbc game had some annoying fkin boss characters too lol. Maybe give them a shot when you have time though^^v. Appreciate the content, as always.
