    When I was a kid Mann's Jellyworm had no salt. They lasted so long I would start off with a 9 inch worm, and keep biting off a little piece to get into fresh plastic, until it got down to 4 inches. I can't tell you how many I'd catch with one worm, but it was a lot.

    Gettin time to start chunkin Big Perm. Think I'll get some of those C-Pre-Rigs too. Rigging one up from scratch is a real PIA! And why not cut it off, put it back in the bag to tie on something else when done as well. :-)

    how big of a worm can you use for smallmouth on northern lakes in your opinion?

    • @yourlakeforkguide1520
      @yourlakeforkguide1520  2 ปีที่แล้ว

      More about hook size, they can eat the worm but that big 7/0 hook in that big shakey will be an issue for average size smallies, rig it on a head with a 4/0 and it’ll work

    • @dan776
      @dan776 2 ปีที่แล้ว

      We regularly catch smallies on Magnum worms while fishing for largemouth. If they think they can eat it the will

    i have a pack of Manns i think is the name but they're 12 inch heavy large built worms in junebug will this not work on a texas rig for big summer bass , with a 11 alt owner ewg hook or should i carolina rig this worm , i don't have the big shakey heads

    • @irwinm.fletcher2612
      @irwinm.fletcher2612 2 ปีที่แล้ว

    • @robertschwarz6849
      @robertschwarz6849 2 ปีที่แล้ว +2

      I use the Manns 12in,I rig it Texas with3/8 oz and it will nose dive and almost lay vertical being buoyant. Also I rig it on a 3/8 or a 5/8 shaky head and when they bite it give them 3sec to jack em!! Live in Florida so I deal with a lot of vegetation here and these worms are my go to summer time Big bite👍🏼

    I have some worms that are 7 years old with salt and they are perfectly fine. They are not falling apart. Salt does make them sink though.

    • @jamesbarron1202
      @jamesbarron1202 2 ปีที่แล้ว

      He means they tear up fast when you catch a bass on them. Not in the package.

    • @yourlakeforkguide1520
      @yourlakeforkguide1520  2 ปีที่แล้ว

      Correct more tearing up due to wear and tear not age and the lightly salted aren’t as bad, but many company’s up the salt content as it saves in plastisol costs in mass production and baits fall apart quicker causing us to buy more

    • @PCAPastorTrav
