Inter president Massimo Moratti said: "Roy Hodgson was an important person in the development of Inter Milan to the point we have reached today. He saved us at the right time. When he came we were in trouble and things appeared dark. He didn't panic, he was calm and made us calm. Disaster was averted at the most important time. Everyone at Inter will remember him for that and his contribution. He is considered by us all as an important person in our history. He left an endowment to this club that's important in our history."
What lovely praise and kind words from Inter towards Roy Hodgson. I believe that he deserves that praise and I think that he's a genuine nice person, not an actor.
Roy had probably the most interesting managerial career I can think of. Managed in Italy, Sweden, Switzerland and the premier league, gave Zanetti his debut, saved Inter and dragged Fulham kicking and screaming to the UEFA Cup final.
A year before Mourinho's inter, Hodgson took Fulham to a european final, knocking Juventus out along the way. Roy was a nearly man, but certainly not 'past it 40 years ago'. @@OG_Clarkey
He reminds me of Scott Parker in the way he is brilliant at talking, can give a great presentation but when it comes down to it, for some reason they are not that good at overall management.
Will never forget that magical Europa League run in 2010. Smashing Juventus at home and reaching the final. What a story, and Roy was the chief architect. Wish him all the best.
I'm a United fan but I always used to watch every big game when teams like Fulham and Portsmouth got European football, that Fulham campaign was a joy to watch I felt for them after the final.
Much respect to Roy Hodgson! Proper manager who's had a fantastic career. Also really enjoyed Jesse Marsch on the show tonight, hope to see him featuring more often (if he doesn't take a new managerial job, that is 😁).
Hodgson's career is absolutely bonkers, so many clubs and countries with so many achievements. In truth he's a criminally underrated manager when you look at it as a whole. Multiple league titles, European Finals, taking countries places they've never been in tournaments, steadying the ship at Inter... he is credited in a Wenger-like manner in Sweden for changing the way they play football that echos into today. Very few manage such heights. Some mark him down heavily for his time with Liverpool and England, but Liverpool were in transition while he was there and the England team he had was frankly very poor in comparison to many. A great manager who deserves immense respect for his body of work.
Roy Hogson is the embodiment of "too old for the gym". Not just in body, but being stuck in their ways. His lack of respect for analytics and system play. It's humiliating
Shame it ended this way for Roy,Palace from start to Finnish,A wealth of football knowledge,Any long time Palace fan will appreciate what he has done for us,respect due🦅👌
Long solid career was at his best back in the fulham days though not bad at inter also they were always staying up and glasner mabe use this season to fully look over squad before a rebuild around guehi eze and the young talent theyve signed
They missed one of his greatest achievements off that list. When he first went to palace they’d played 7 league games and didn’t even have a point…. And he kept them up. Great manager.
Got England knocked out by Iceland though and his Palace side have been dismal. Long tenure, yes. Respected all over the world for being in the game a long time, debatable.

Pep Guardiola, Sir Alex Ferguson, Arsène Wenger, and Carlo Ancelotti are among those who respect Roy as a man and as a coach. Their teams have been beaten by teams coached by Roy. How do *_you_* measure up to these mangers? And where are you going with this line, that Glasgow Rangers has not won anything worthwhile?
Dog manager, done absolutely nothing to improve palace, instilled a boring style of play bought badly and left us in a terrible state. Probably a nice bloke but dog awful manager.

There's plenty 😂
Was the manager of the Finnish national team at one point. Great man.
How did he 'save Inter'? He is also the manager who didn't rate Roberto Carlos 😂
10 years later mourinho won the treble Roy isn’t special past it 40 years ago

What a guy. He boxed for the over 65's in World War 1.
😂
Extremely rude.
Jesse Marsch is a class act, really hope he features more as a pundit.
Well, he can't be any worse than he is a manager. 🤣 The man can talk that's for sure.
Certainly my manager on career mode. Great guy. Would love it if a character like Marsch makes a return, whether it be in the Prem or abroad.
Americans don’t have a clue about English football.
Americans don’t have a clue. They don’t know how to speak about our game. Just look at carras face. Marsch is speaking nonsense.

Marsch was so well spoken and insightful. Especially for someone who doesn’t do much punditry
He gets the respect you lot should show mourinho
Mourinho is respected greatly foreign fan

If anyone still wondering who will replace Klopp, here you go, Roy has unfinished business
Marsch should be next Millwall manager
I played with him at Ashford town ,he was only there a short time.

He should take Sunderland job
Im absolutely gutted for him but he had it coming
Rubbish. They shouldn't have given him another contract in the summer and just let him relax at a lower level...
Yhhh but they moretime should have used him as interim manager until the end of last season

Now can we please just leave the man alone? He's pushing 80, just let him enjoy his rich tea in his slippers in peace.
