This one grabbed me the moment I heard it. Such a classy arrangement, and a wonderful song; a change of pace in a string of hard-rocking' classics. Thank you for the one-on-one, Randy.

@randybachmanoffcial the last time I enjoyed your music live was in the late '90s when you and Burton were out on tour with Joe Cocker as the Guess Who, before all the legal craziness occurred with that name. That still ranks as one of my all-time favorite shows. It was in my hometown of Grand Forks, only a couple hours south of your hometown. I grew up listening to 58 CKY and became a huge Canadian rock fan as a result. Keep bringing joy to music, Randy! You're one of the best.

My older sister used to babysit him and Robbie when they were young. This was just after they released the first Guess Who album. The whole band was still in diapers back then and my sister would change their diapers in between sets and serve them Molson Golden Ale and Labatt's blue label and they would eat Poutine and club baby seals.

  • @johnmaer

Absolutely incredible video by an artist who is not selfish about sharing his composition and arrangement for what has to be a classic jazz oriented rock song from the 80's that I have tried to pick out the chords by ear and have wound up with an incredibly awkward chord voicing that makes for difficult playing. Mr. Bachman deserves kudos and commendation not only for a wonderfully innovative song for the era, but in taking the time to map this all out for us guitar player wannabe's. Thanks, Randy.

When I learned undun I combined your lesson with another utuber and manage a good version. I have big fat hands and normally play bass. If yer ever lookin for a bass player I'm yer guy. When I saw Ringo at Camp Pendelton it was probably the best concert I'd seen. Burton, Joe Walsh, Tim Schmidt, Todd Rungrun of course Ringo and his Son. After all these years Burton did American Women and it was like quality vinyl being played on an expensive turn table through killer speakers. That show was all the best of the music I grew up with. I believe Todd is Canadian as well. My Grandmother was born in Quebec and spoke French. I was disappointed when you left the Guess Who rt up until I heard Taken Care of Business. Your song writing skills are at the top of music I grew up with. I loved the Beatles and went to see Ringo. Then SUPRISE, American Women, Walsh did In the City off the Long Run and Timothy did my fav Eagles song. I Can't Tell You Why. I felt like Best concert ever. I was in a bike wreck a year ago and sustained a major head injury. I am not quite fully recovered, but my Taylor 314ce and U Tube has kept me alive and playin. Please forgive me for not using Mickey Baker Chords, I had a Book by him about 25yrs and found jazz a bit challenging because of my dumb bass player hands. I love the bass, but guitar has kept me from well 6months ago I considered taking my own life I was miserable. Utube and guitar changed that and now I'm coming out of my depression. Thank you Randy it's hard to believe I'm communicating with a true Rock Superstar. Keep em coming Brother
With all due respect Mr. Marky

Thanks for this master class Randy Im a 65 yo fan and I play your songs on guitar since the 70's. I picks up the note by ear those days and it sounded good but now a realize i had several mistakes. A big hug and greetings from Chile!

Esta canción cada vez que la escuchaba me cautiva, no había chazam, me fue tan difícil encontrar quien era su compositor, yo pensaba que era un brasileño cantando en inglés, es tan gratificante poder escucharla muy seguido.

After watching this I understand why I liked this song after discoveringit, it's because I like Brazilian jazz, bossa nova, Antonio Carlos Jobim. It has a sort of Girl From Ipanema vibe to it. Genius!!! Thank you Randy for sharing!!!!
