  • Reviewing what I would consider to be the six phases of the Diablo III life cycle and rating the game out of 10.
    Drop a comment down below and let me know which phase, or specific time you had enjoyed the most in Diablo III.
    Phase 1: Launch - The first 3 to 4 weeks prior to the inferno difficulty nerf.
    Phase 2: The inferno nerf prior to the introduction of the paragon system
    Phase 3: The introduction of the paragon system up to level 100
    Phase 4: Reaper of Souls and seasons 1 through 13.
    Phase 5: Introduction of seasonal themes - Seasons 14 through 20
    Phase 6: Expansive seasonal themes - Seasons 21 through 28.
    I hope that you enjoyed the video! If you're interested in more Diablo III and Diablo IV content, consider subscribing to the channel!

    Thanks for an awesome recap. As a D3 veteran myself, I truly enjoyed this overview.
    I remember a time before paragons were made account-wide, we would farm the Crypt in Fields of Misery, first tickling all the mothers to spawn zombies, then clearing everything with 5 Nephalem stacks (from 5 elite kills) for max exp per hour.
    I remember the thrill of my first HC attempts, trying to clear GR 24 (madness!) with a friend.
    Like you said, when the honeymoon phase with D4 is over, I will come back to D3 every now and then, simply because it's such a huge part of my life.

      Thanks! I had completely forgotten about the Nephalem Valor stacks until this post! Nice to hear from you, it's been a while. I hope that all has been well :)

    Hype for season 29 :D

    As a returning player who initially bought the original followed by ROS separately, I must say that the game has come a long way. I can't say much about seasons prior to 25, given that Season 25 was my first actual playthrough (Someone even joked to me that I had to join on one of the most broken season at the time ) As a mostly solo player, I would say the followers' rework introduced in S23 was the best for me. I remembering jumping back to D3 in March 2021 and was dumfounded when I saw 13 gearing slots on my follower
    I would still give credits to the devs for the recent seasonal themes introduced, as it has sort of revitalized interest in the game. That being said, I am very much looking forward to D4, even though I can't play it until I get a better rig As for D3, I will still jump into seasons, especially season 29 being the final new new season before they start to rotate the past themes.

    Diablo 3, what a journey... it got me close to a friend who taught me how to build PC's. You all remember midnight releases? I went to the midnight release at GameStop and took the day off school/work to play. Unfortunately said friend never got to play Diablo 3 that much, he got his wings early in life. A bunch of life happened, and now we're here, 11 years later. Looking forward for the fresh new start that Diablo 4 brings, as well as the fresh content from you Gitum!

    I put in about 200 hours in 12/13 and quit playing until season 12. I really enjoyed the game from that point on and felt it got better and better up until part of phase 6. While all of the quality of life changes are great it became too easy. Season 28 I was laughably over powered and geared at 4 days in and sort of lost interest. I have about 1500 hours in over the 11 years, mostly from season 13 on. Not as much time as the pros but got a good feeling for the game. The first of the really innovative seasons themes where great though and I think were the apex of the game, I had a great time. Thrilled to get into D4 this fall and winter though! Will definitely keep an eye on the D3 seasons too. Thanks for the videos 🍻

    I remember when i first started to play this in 2013 you had to use that book too identify Legendary gear. Now days you can just right click it inside your pack. And yet the Book was not taken out of Tristim. But still a good game to this day. And since i am skipping Diablo 4. This and Mass Effect, with Watch Dogs 2 and Like a Dragon is all i need. Season 25 or 26 with the awesome Weapons that could drop at any level was my favorite. I just had came back to Diablo 3 at the point of being gone for 5 years.

      Thanks! Not sure if you noticed, but out of my 3,000 hours, only 58 were on Necromancer haha. I'm not sure why, but the class has always felt awkward to me xD

    D3 >>>>>> D4, at least until they make significant strides in D4 like they did for D3.

      Same here! On an older video of mine, I had compared the two games and even noted that I preferred D2 as an overall game to D3. Even with the launch of D4, I'm sure I'll be back for some more D2 eventually :)

    Diablo 3 runs out of re-playable content after a couple months at most. The "end-game" content (rifts), is pretty sad. Also it's NOT accessible; a visual mess, some keys can't be mapped on the keyboard, and there's no sense of fire discipline. You can shoot right through your teammates and followers? That always seemed wack.

    • @Gitum
      @Gitum  ปีที่แล้ว

      Agreed. It would certainly be a different experience if I could accidentally friendly fire on my follower lol.

    • @Gitum
      @Gitum  ปีที่แล้ว +1

      @@Sons_of_Thor Agreed. I am certainly sad that they don't have a single player mode in Diablo III. Makes me concerned that one day, Blizzard could just shut down the servers for this game. I'm sure every few years I'll have an itch to return and play a bit. Thanks for watching and commenting! :)
